Hello Reddit. First post so I hope I makes myself seem concise.
Some background: I am a 20yr Male, living with my BF. I won't disclose the age of my BF since we have an age gap and its not important to the story.
My youngest sister is having a Quince, And was finally able to have the chance to go back home to see them as a surprise. Me and my boyfriend have been kicked around by the world this last year and a half. Me being unemployed since I left home, no luck finding anything, and my BF getting laid off unfairly, and without warning. We've been scrapping by on unemployment and our towns food bank, since we live in the middle of Amish country in PA. Our landlord has been really generous even though we pay month to month. And now that my bf has finally found a job opportunity, i can go home and see my family (even though i hate travel with a passion)
The situation: With my travel date rolling around, my constant stress with failed job searches, and feeling like I'm letting my BF down, I'm constantly stressed, never notice until it starts affecting my body/mentality. It doesn't help that this year I've lost 2 family members already. If you know Hispanics, we are super close to almost all our family. And care about them deeply.

It was a voice message from Georgie, saying that Grandpa passed, and that he would appreciate if I sent a VM or call. Doesn't seem bad, until you take into account he's not contacted me in 3 years! And in the years before his contact with me was also rare. Didn't call me for my Graduation, my move, no holidays, nothing. Yet he thinks he did everything right. And most people believe him, because he's an expert at lying/manipulation. Looking at the text filled me with so much anger and rage. But one thing i developed thanks to my mom and my dad was emotional patience, So I decided to call the one person that has more personal experience with him, my mom. She told me that if i wanted to talk to him it was up to me. I personally hate ignoring people even if they deserve it, because I'm kind to a fault. My dad overheard me on the phone and told me I would just leave him on read so he knows how it feels. So that's what I've resorted on doing. After him trying to pin the blame on my mom for our failed relationship, i want nothing to do with that man. But I want to see what others think, even if i refuse to back out on my decision.

Having played Royal, Golden, Reload, Portable, Dancing, Ultimax, Strikers, and Tactica, I decided to try Q and have just reached the first game’s third dungeon. And wow - it has some really amazing and fun gameplay.
There are so many aspects to it which make it super enjoyable. I’ve heard it’s very similar to Etrian Odyssey, so maybe a lot of these are shared with that but I’m not sure:
Sub-Personas - Tactica has these, but they only add so much due to only have one fixed slot and one inherited slot for skills. In Q, sub-Personas have 6 slots, which adds an enormous extra layer of strategy that makes every character feel as valuable in combat as Makoto/Yu.
Money - I’m playing on normal, and money feels like a lot more of a valuable commodity here than in mainline Persona. Usually, it piles up and up until I’m basically just buying everything I see willy-nilly. Conversely, I actually have to strategise with whether to prioritise items, weapons, armour, accessories, summons, healing, etc.
HP and SP - The problem with mainline Persona games is that, especially in the early game, you are always conscious of using SP because you will run out very quickly. The game wants you to come back another time with renewed SP, but when you have to max out social links minimising your time in a dungeon is vastly preferable. As a result, I often end up doing normal attacks, which ends up being quite boring. In Q, your HP and SP are tied to your sub-Persona, which lends you a certain amount automatically at the start of every battle. This is great because it strikes a perfect balance between feeling like you can never use your skills and feeling like you can use them ad nauseam. You also have to distribute your HP and SP buffer strategically, as you’ll want Kanji to have a lot of extra HP for physical skills, but Naoto to have plenty of extra SP for insta-kills, say.
Dungeon-crawling - Dungeons are really well-designed and feel like a pleasure to traverse. Shadows are always a threat because of random encounters, which is preferable to something like Reload in which you can easily just run away from them (probably the worst change from earlier P3 games imo). I like having to manually keep track of where everything is in the dungeon, and there’s a decent balance of social hijinks and actual traversal, which is what makes Shido’s Palace really fun for me. Special events in the dungeons’ nooks and crannies make everything feel more fresh, in a way which even P5 doesn’t replicate in its more scripted dungeon novelties, nor P3 or P4 in their randomly-generated samey hallways.
Difficulty - I’ve died more in Q than I ever have in a mainline Persona game, and I think that it strikes a better balance with hard bosses and enemies that screw me over a lot. All-out attacks are also more unexpected, so it feels extra rewarding to pull of a solid set of moves.
The boost system - Another way HP and SP is handled better is in its reduction to a cost of 0 after a successful ‘weak’ or ‘critical’ attack. This rewards you for playing strategically, and opens up your options as you can pull back your attacks to heal, carry on racking up boosts, or transfer to a different sort of move entirely. Plus, being hit while boosted is another obstacle to victory which helps to balance out the difficulty.
Leader and navi skills - I like that Fuuka and Rise feel much more useful, because there are so many tools with which to customise their arsenal. I like to have Fuuka run a move which teleports everyone back to the floor’s entrance, because it’s more foolproof than escaping and can be used for traversal.
Party layout - I like that the party is five strong, which is necessary in a game with so many party members as Q. But more importantly, the front and back layers add another degree of depth, though I’ve yet to move around in combat, despite that being an option.
Quests - These mostly come with some interesting joke, like Teddie trying to find a love potion or Junpei trying to anonymously set up a date with the P4 girls. They’re fun, and having EXP as a reward is also cool.
The only complaint I have is shared with my remonstration with Tactica, which is that sub-Personas often feel a bit suboptimal. You only have so many Personas at your current level, especially when fusion is so costly. Therefore, you often end up loading teammates up with Personas several levels lower than yours. I’m not really sure how one would fix that, though. Great game, anyway.

If you didn't know, with Beads of Ruin, a modest Chi-Yu with 252 EVs in Special Attack (SpA) has approximately 197 base SpA instead of 135 as it effectively gives it a multiplier of 4/3x. That gives it a whopping 632 real BST. Chien-Pao receives similar treatment, and it's Adamant 252+ EVs base Attack stat is in the 160s. With Huge Power, a fully invested Azumarill has 149 attack, making its BST really 519 instead of 420. Here's a more interesting one. Starting from Gen 9, an uninvested Abomasnow has a BST of 494 with 75 Defense. When Snow is up, this is really 121 Defense, putting it in the 540 BST range where it belongs with Magmortar and Electivire. Speaking of which those 2 got the same vibes of Abomasnow, I know they're both Sinnoh but it feels like Gen 4 is when regions started making their Pokemon feel unique to the gen.

Hi guys, I was hoping to get this community's insight on what I should do to create a Yugi Muto character. My initial idea was to go Scribes Wizard and use all of the Wizard spells to make a "deck" which is essentially my spell book. Maybe I can get help with coming up with a rules re-working to make this playstyle balanced, fair, and fun.
Rules as follows (so far):

• At the start of combat I'd draw 6 cards (I know it's 5 now). These "cards" would be Wizard spells that I can use, and the only the spells I can use.
• Combat is usually like 3-5 rounds so, to keep up pace, I figured I'd draw two cards instead of one at the start of each of my turns, contrary to the actual rules for Yu-Gi-Oh!
• I was thinking, since my restrictions are what I draw, we can ignore spell slots. Also, we can ignore that rule in the game that says I can cast only one leveled spell per turn if it's done as a bonus action
• All spells would keep their casting times, concentration rules would still apply normally as well
• Deck must be 40-60 cards, can only have 3 copies of the same spell in the deck at a time
• The spells I can have in the deck are only ones that I can prepare at my current Wizard level

What else? What do you guys think? Any changes?

I grew up watching the show and with the cards and only recently found out that the manga is way different than the show and has a much darkehorror tone as opposed to the show. I ordered the first book online that contains volumes 1-3 in it. I see that there are 20+ volumes total. my question is, is there a good place to stop reading in the long run where it transitions to something totally different like maybe yugioh gx or is it all one solid story for yu gi and should i just read the entire run. Also wouldnt mind hearing your opinions on the manga (without spoilers) as opposed to the show, is it really that much better?

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
My goal with the build for my new PC is to play the games I have on steam without hearing a very loud noise that the fan makes, on these recent times the sound started to annoy me when playing on my laptop. I want to be able to play games like Skyrim with mods (no graphic ones), DBXV2, .Hack//G.U. Last Recode, Digimon Masters Online, Mad Max, the metro games, Naruto games, Sunset Overdrive, and if possible The Witcher 3 and in the future Digimon World Next Order, Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Royal. I want to be able to play these and other games without hearing a turbine-like noise that the fan makes, I want one more quitter, and without feeling the heat that comes from the computer (laptop in my case right now).
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for?
Stable 30fps on the games I play; Low or medium settings, maybe higher if some requirements are met; I don’t care about RTX.

With this build I can manage to fulfil or almost do the goal I want of the fan not making too much noise?
The RAM and case on the list I put links for them from Amazon México because I could not find them on pcpartpicker, also the case I put on the list is just a filler for the format, I don’t want the RBG/lights on the case, I would prefer to use no case or get a simplecheaper one, I hope someone could recommend one like that. The RAM I have from amazon is only one module of 16gb just in case.
Most of the pieces are on little discounts right now on Amazon México, but starting tomorrow there is a week of sales so maybe the prices that I listed (that I converted from pesos to dollars) may be cheaper, but I could only buy few pieces per month because I have to use part of the money I get for different things.
The monitor I plan to get is a cheap one with HDMI, 30ghz/60ghz and the same size as the one my laptop has, but for a time I would just use the tv as a monitor while I save some money to buy it.
If possible, I would like to know if the MB has Bluetooth, because some of the things I use needs it, so I want to know this detail.
My plan is to keep the build for many years, because I don’t think I could afford something much more expensive.
I would love, if possible, to receive advice on which piece to buy first to start making this build. Also would like to know if I could somehow save some money on any of the pieces.

I used to play Duel Links all the time when I was younger, but got bored and stopped playing it after the DSOD update. I recently got nostalgic for Yu-Gi-Oh again and was able to get my old profile back with my unlocks back, and it feels easy for the most part to pick up where I left off. But getting used to making a deck and the new summonings is a little challenging Any advice?

Early Shu should not get more playable characters. I get why people feel this is necessary since before Changban, it's really just Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, and Zhao Yun. I guess Zhou Cang, too.
However, narratively speaking, it makes sense for Shu to start off small. Just a ragtag group of pals just barely able to survive in a world with strong foes at every turn. This makes them easy to get behind. They're the underdogs. And as they gain more power and spread their message, they're rewarded with new allies as well. Having a similar amount of badass killing machines as the likes of Cao Cao would kind of take away from that.
If you ask me, I just think Shu needs good additions. Seriously, since dw3, how many of their additions had actual significance in history or the novel?

On offer is a Bioshock themed SpydieChef with a beautiful harpoon grind mod on the blade. Picked up off the swap a few months ago, I am at least the fourth owner. Since I received it I swapped the original acid washed harpoon blade with the one you see shown. The grind lines on the swedge and how they blend into the mirror edge is wonderful and clearly done by someone who knows what they are doing. Likely Way of the Knife.
This knife has been carried a lot, but is in very respectable shape. Dead nuts center. It locks up with no blade play and has some very nicely worn in washers that make the action glass. Best frame lock action Spyderco I have experienced. Mirror edge, blade, milled Ti clip, and frame have signs of wear. (See video)
I am not the biggest fan of the show side scale and I just cant get past it. Otherwise this would stay with me without a doubt. Just a cool knife that I love to admire and flip around. I hope someone gets it who appreciates it, took me a bit to work up to posting it.
