In P4, Cole had a quick sit-down with Denise. He defended his decision to involve Agent Tammy Preston in the investigation.
If it was necessary to figure out the "stuff" to make sense of the plot, Tammy would have had something which was equal to what the Major had left for the deputies. The most personal scene of her otherwise detached character was in P5. She was sitting by herself in her cubicle, going through some stuff. Maybe the stuff we needed to find was somewhere there. Among other stuff.
Connecting to what the deputies found from inside the metal tube was Tammy holding two pictures of Cooper. Left, she had a picture of the young agent in his fancy FBI suit. Right, she had the picture of Cooper's aged doppelganger.
We had seen the same doppelganger picture already an episode earlier when the FBI visited Yankton Federal Prison. Inspector Randy Hollister displayed the picture on a large screen, along with all sort of chaotic information about Cooper.
Two Coopers, one with 66.
The scale next to Mr C's head gave his height as 75 inches, 6"3, which could not possibly have been correct. The inconsistency may have suggested there was something in that scale we needed to notice. In the middle of his head, there was a black line pointing to number 66. That was also included in a closeup of the mugshot that was shown when the FBI went to interview the detained man.
Another kind of two Coopers were on the second slip of paper that the deputies recovered from the tube. Written in the middle of it, there was the text, "COOPECOOPER". So as not to miss the idea here, Hawk spelled it out for us.
All doppelgangers that we saw in the Black Lodge appeared as a kind of one-trick ponies that clearly were not capable of any meaningful operation on their own. This also applied to Cooper's doppelganger. When he made an entry in the season 2 finale, he struggled to even get the curtains open. But all of a sudden, the doppelganger turned into a completely controlled being with a clear plan and a purpose.
Earle got the stuff first.
As BOB had moments before taken Windom Earle's soul from his old body, we probably needed to put these things together so that what happened was BOB possessing the mindless doppelganger with Earle's spirit. Without the possession, the doppelganger would have been useless, but now its plan was likely the Earle's plan. Another kind of possession being stuff, like discussed, we'd start to get an understanding what having this specific stuff would have been all about.
This then takes us to P6 when Richard Horne had an early morning meeting with a nameless newcomer credited as the color Red. When the scene at the sawmill started, Richard was consuming something, off screen. We assumed he had taken some kind of drug, but whatever it was, a moment later it started to have an impact on him.
Richard got kicked by the stuff.
Much later in P15, Richard held Mr C at gunpoint in front of the Convenience Store. Effortlessly, the doppelganger took the gun from his hand, hit him in the face and then gave him a nasty kicking as he was lying on the ground.
This stuff kicks. Richard also got a kicking from Cooper's doppelganger. What was really happening to him in that warehouse?
Before Richard got beaten, he talked about his mother.
These lines would find their purpose in P5 when Tammy Preston was watching the old photograph of Cooper in his fancy FBI suit. The scene started with a closeup of her holding the picture. Something was wrong, though, as the hands clearly were not her hands that we got a good close-up of later in P7. They might have been Richard's hands, with a suggestion this was the very photograph he was talking about.
That this was the intended approach was further implied by Tammy keenly studying doppelganger's fingerprints - that is, his hands. This way, Richard and his "stuff" would also lead to two Coopers.
These observations would now give their own kind of wild explanation to an earlier baffling idea that the scene between Red and Richard actually continued in P2, with Red now as Jack the garageman and Richard having turned into Mr C, ready to get going with the black Lincoln Town Car and apparently about to kill Jack next.
Richard's abrupt change would have been possible because the "stuff" that he had taken was Cooper's doppelganger, literally transforming him into Mr C. While Richard and Red talked, the younger man would have gradually disconnected from his present reality and drifted to another world where he would possess the doppelganger. Everything else would have changed as well, with Red turning into Jack and his expensive Rolex into the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S 550 Coupé he had in the garage, the apparent counterpart for the sawmill warehouse.
If this was figured out as intended, at certain points in the story, both Tammy and Sheriff Truman had the doppelganger in their possession, respectively, she as a photograph and him as a name on a piece of paper, with Lynch's storytelling again abstracting characters and concepts to the extreme. This would align with an earlier conclusion that both Red and the Sheriff were the same character - ultimately none other than Phillip Jeffries - explaining how Red got the doppelganger he seems to have then given to Richard for a ride, for whatever hidden reason that then was. At that point, it would naturally have been vacated of Windom Earle, this or that way.
How about Tammy and her "stuff" then? She would also have had Cooper's doppelganger right there with her in the cubicle, suggesting her character was more than an FBI agent. Perhaps she got a taste of him as well, implied by the scene ending with her lifting her right hand to her mouth that after a cut inconsistently changed to her left hand.
Or, perhaps she suddenly started to feel a bit carsick and would soon need both of her hands over her mouth.

Cole: "Agent Tammy Preston has the stuff, Denise."As usual, this didn't sound like that important to think about. Later in P13, Bobby went to get dinner in RR Diner. He told Ed and Norma they got some stuff, too.
Ed: "What's new, Deputy?" Bobby: "Oh, well, we, uh, found some stuff that my dad left today."Earlier in P9, the deputies opened a small metal tube left behind by Bobby's father, Major Briggs, revealing cryptic instructions. Ed suggested we needed to give this a good thought.

 | With all the hype about the upcoming June 13th, 100th show in Liverpool, I've been looking for the Liverpool connections. I went back pretty far and granted the internet is FLOODED with items about the upcoming shows, going back to when they were announced, I also looked back further and searched for liverpool with specific years. So while she may have done something significant in liverpool before last year, I can't find anything, except for the I Can See You music video! The video was filmed in the Cunard Building in Liverpool and it was kept VERY hush hush. It was known that Joey King was in the video, but not Presley Cash or Taylor Lautner. Reports at the time mentioned that Taylor had been inspired by Besides I Can See You being connected to Liverpool and the June 13th/100th show theories, I think there's a definite connection between I Can See You and Mean which ties it further together. For starters, there's an obvious connection between the cast. As I mentioned, Joey King was brought up in early press. Taylor Lautner and Presley Cash were not. It's very SOMETHING to me that she did not choose to cast the young bullied boy from the Mean music vide. I've tried briefly looking into them and it seems to be a mystery-ish. The name of the actor doesn't appear anywhere I've found. Who knows why, but I don't want to necessarily speculate on why someone whose name we don't even know might not want to be a part of the Taylor Show after all these years. But if anyone has any info they think is okay to share, I'm interested for sure. But, more importantly, instead of just leaving the cast as Swift, King, and Cash...she chooses to add-Taylor Lautner. So, my overall interpretation of the I Can See You video as a hint of what's coming sort of rests on my personal understanding that the "characters" in the Mean music video are versions of Taylor herself, so I will start there. As a child, it's the popular girls who know she's a little weird and not quite girly enough. In high school, it's coming from two sides-there's the side which has dreams and is working hard at being a "star" to get where she wants to go. And then the side which is queer and has interests in things their peers don't understand or care about. And lastly, train tracks Taylor, who is being held captive by someone who is both cruel and incompetent. This adult "current" version of Taylor is not upset with the way she's being treated by these mean people, she rolls her eyes and seems exasperated, but she is not upset exactly. We see the stories of the characters resolve. We see the bullied young boy gain recognition and appreciation from his peers for succeeding at the interest which got him ridicule in the past. We see the bullied young girl has gotten away from the harassment of her peers. Being a "star" while she was young gets her an education and a office where she seems to have more of an in-charge job job. We see train tracks Taylor wait for her bullies to sabotage themselves and then she just walks away. To re-join her band? We do not see a scene of the young bullied girl's story resolved, exactly. We do not see her as an adult. Unless...she is the child version of Taylor. And we DO see her as an adult because she is Taylor. And child Taylor gets to see how one day she'll be talented and captivating-and perhaps from the audience she was also able to see the story of how Taylor no longer cares about what the bullies have to say. Another interpretation could be that we are just seeing a young girl being bullied who is then inspired by Taylor. But...inspired to do what? Inspired to become a musician? I think, even if one does not see these "characters" specifically as versions of Taylor herself, I think it's very reasonable to think that she is using these characters to tell stories and experiences which resonate with her personally. Especially considering Speak Now was a VERY personal album for her. The other music videos released for Speak Now during that Era all feature Taylor performing the song, while there are scenes of Taylor playing the "character" of her self within the story of the song. Hello there Everybody ! I am new to this Sub Reddit, My name is Andrew. I am one half of LegacyRadioGaming. 2024.05.27 07:29 Jazz_Musician Unable to recruit settlers via dialogue as dialogue gets stuck after choosing a settlement but I'm not sure what in my load order is causing this, or if it's just a script related thing.
I use Tales of the Commonwealth and Interesting NPCs. I'll post the full LO below. I get the popup to send a recruit-able settler to the operational settlements (both vanilla and modded), but dialogue is just getting stuck and I have to move my camera out of the dialogue view to continue. the NPCs don't seem to indicate they've been recruited either. I talk with each of them a second time and I just get the same recuitment dialogue. Frustrating.
Also as a side note, I am running about 140 of these as "light" on Vortex, so the hard cap of 255 .esp files has not been an issue. Anyways, maybe there is a conflict here I'm not seeing.

Date [standardized human time]: November 4th, 2136
The humans made a mistake. They covered the ground in here with perhaps some of the most delicious clover I have ever tasted. The food john brought for our picnic was… nice, for sure, but the fruit was so sweet it almost hurt. When I joined him for a nice nap on the field I took a sneaky bite of the clovers. Now, I lay here, nestled in John's arms with one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted just out of my reach.
I gently reached my paw over and grabbed a handful of clovers, before bringing it to my mouth. I felt John's head raise to look at me, “Silv… are you eating the lawn?”
Shit! With a mouth full of clover, I manged to let out a “nooooo…”
John's chest heaved as he laughed, “Well, thank you for not dropping to all fours and just going after it. I think I might get into some hydroponics soon. I can grow some clover for you. Let you make a salad.”
I swallowed the delicious clover, “Thank you… I know this is weird for you-”
John plucked a single clover and tapped me on the nose with it, “Surprisingly it's not… I mean, if you made me a bed of spaghetti, I'd probably eat it too. Hell, I got so hungry once I borrowed a book on foraging from my library and went out into the woods on a hunger fueled rampage! I ate a mushroom right off of a tree. Felt like a deer.”
I giggled at the thought of John tearing through the woods and just gnawing into a tree, “Oh, how predatory! Those poor plants must have been terrified!”
He playfully roughed up my fur, “Fucking hell, I go and eat plants, and I'm predatory, I go and eat a Sivkit, and I'm predatory, What can I eat?”
I faked shock, “Is that all I am to you? An emergency ration?”
John bobbed his head side to side, “Well Taumy was, but he’s a bit to spiky, and I'm fairly sure Koldi can actually beat me in a fight.”
I tried and failed to imagine the small Paltan taking down the massive ape that I was using as a bed, “Wait… Little Koldi? Beat you? In a fight?”
He confidently nodded his head, “Yeah. No doubt about it, he'd go Kevin McCallister on my ass.”
My translator gave me nothing to comprehend his statement, “Who's that?”
John slapped his forehead with his free palm, “Oh! Right! My bad. He was a character from a horror movie. He'd lure criminals into trying to rob his home, and he'd hunt them for fun. Kind of twisted stuff. Nothing like the original movies it was based on.”
I see why John wasn't selected for the exchange program. This isn't the kind of stuff that should be mentioned around normal prey, “That sounds… interesting… I suppose I shouldn't be surprised you guys would have movies like that.”
He kept rambling on before a look of realization hit him, “Yeah. Hollywood kind of desensitized us to extreme violence… in media! Like, actual violence is still horrifying. For most normal people.”
I suppressed a shudder as John's life story came back to mind, “Don't beat yourself up. You've never actively sought that kind of stuff- well… that's not quite true, but! You've never done that for yourself like this Kevin McCallister guy. You were protecting your tribe from threats. No different than an exterminator. Guess that's why those three idiots thought so highly of you.”
John laughed off my comment as a joke, “He. No. They were scared of what Loke could do to their career.”
My ear flicked in irritation, “No. The first one turned and immediately left when he recognized you. The second one instantly submitted to you, and the third one acted more like he wanted you to change your behavior than actually treating you like a predator.”
He didn't look convinced, “They tried to draw their guns”
I held my paw straight up with a single digit extended, “That they, for starters, didn't have. Also, look at you! You're massive! I know for a fact you could rip my arms off. Don't give me that look! It's a matter of fact that you can, not would. That’s enough of a reason to react defensively, let alone the fact you roared at them! The bold one was trying to intimidate you, and you flipped the table on him!”
John held an inquisitive eyebrow up, “I thought you hated exterminators. Why are you defending them?”
Why am I defending them? “Because well… I like you, and while you don't agree with how they do things, I know you understand why they do things. That and it's also kind of how you've lived your life.”
His inquisitiveness turned into concern, “How do you reckon that?”
“You've… well…” My mind dragged up the feeling of that poor bird's body being crushed beneath my jump, “You've done what you had to do to protect your family. Sometimes that's taking care of wild animals that might be a threat.” My imagination ran wild picturing John hunting down the man who hurt his family, “Sometimes it's taking care of people who are one.”
John didn't retort my claim. Instead, he just ran his fingers through the fur on my head as I added, “Also, it's harder to do your job if people hate you compared to if they like you. Call it the middle manager's expertise if you would. All I am saying is, be friendly the next time you see them. You might be surprised at how things turn out.”
John let out a long sigh, “Alright. I'll go talk to them when I see them again. Make amends, but I'm not apologizing.”
I happily wagged my tail, “I'm not asking you either. Just… The old exterminators wouldn't have acted like that. I had to get the local magistrate to put an order into effect to keep them from accidentally blowing up my plant. Those three were aggressive, but the old crew would not have come in here without flamethrowers. They would have burnt this place down the moment they learned humans renovated it.”
I could feel John not wanting to talk about this as he changed the subject. “You ever consider being a therapist?”
I've heard humans have a significantly better mental Healthcare system, “Hrm… no. I already have to deal with people's shit. I don't want to be morally obligated to.”
“Oh? I figured you just went around cracking a whip.” John's never ending, oddly violent, analogies never ceased to catch me off guard.
I rubbed my paws against my tired eyes, and let out a delighted squeak when he jammed his thumbs into the sore muscles in my neck, “By the void, where do I start? I had a guy threaten to quit because his girlfriend didn’t want to get Predator Disease from him, since he works in the same plant as humans do.”
I could feel the tension in my body melt away as John's predatory hands worked around my neck, “Ah. Standard racism.”
A happy sigh escaped my lungs, as the warmth of John's body washed over me. “Yeah… also had to deal with an idiot who spun and excavator in circles until the cab came detached from the base.”
He gently flipped me over, as he used his arms to dig his digits into every knot In every muscle on my back. He got a small laugh from me as he amended his previous statement, “Ah. Standard stupidity.”
It felt like my spine was being aligned into its proper state for the first time in my life, “Also had a guy bypass safety features amputate their own arm with a concrete saw.”
I did nothing as John's hands reached the base of my tail… that's a lie, I lifted it… “Ah. Advanced stupidity.”
I rested against the wall of fur that was John's chest, “What's it like working in a job that has technically ordered you to kill yourself?”
He took a moment to stretch across the clovers before answering me, “I work with a giant ant spider thing that believes the Arxur built the pyramids two thousand years before their own ‘real’ first contact.”
I could feel my brain grinding to try and make sense of why someone would believe that, “... what the fuck?”
His fingers dug back into my fur, “So, I learned a long time ago that people who believe in conspiracy theories are prone to believing in multiple theories. Even if they wildly conflict with each other.”
I was starting to see where this was going, “So you've been using that to mess with them?”
A wicked smile spread across his face, “In my defense! I didn't teach him about the lizard people that rule the earth conspiracy. I did teach him about hollow Earth and flat Earth. Hehe, it hasn't clicked yet, and I doubt it will!”
How can a planet be flat? “I'm sorry. Flat Earth? Like, I can understand hollow Earth, some mega engineers wanted to make an artificial planet. It's just the tech just doesn’t exist, but flat?”
John shrugged, “Don't ask me. I'm not stupid enough to understand the logic. I think it's just people not trusting the government. Like Area 51… which you don't know about… it was a top secret military aircraft testing facility that people believed was hiding aliens. Turned out to be false when the US just admitted to possibly seeing alien aircraft out of the blue.”
The laughably inaccurate museum on humans came rushing back into the forefront of my mind. More importantly, the race responsible for said museum and how they gathered that information clicked into place with that conspiracy, “Wait… Oh my gosh! That was the Farsul wasn't it?”
For a moment, John laid in shock before he shook off my thought, “It… well, it was after the Cold War, and they thought we were all dead, so it couldn't have been them.”
There was only one other race I could think of that had any interest in humanity, “Could it have been the Arxur?”
The silence as John froze filled me with a little dread, “... holy shit, it could have been. They knew where Earth was to come defend it… I thought it was just them mistaking some foreign aircraft for a UFO… like an alien UFO not a- you know what I mean.”
I buried my face in John's chest, “Ugh. I don't like that thought.”
Perplexion laced John's voice, “Why? They still don't have any control over us…”
Part of me wondered if the odd Arxur raid in federation safe space wasn't by happenstance, “Because it means they are smarter than we give them credit for. It means the main reason they attacked Venlil space wasn't to raid, but to be humanity’s first contact. They just misjudged how close your people were to FTL…”
John's reasoning seemed to be on a slightly different path to my own line of reasoning, “Makes me wonder if that fleet the Arxur was always stationed there just past where the sun would reveal them… Waiting for the right moment to say hello.”
I flipped over, and stretched as my body out and let myself fall limp, “Ugh. I don’t want to think about this anymore.”
John’s fingers found their way to my belly, “Fair enough. There anything else to do in this city other than got to this park or drink?”
I couldn’t help but let out a short laugh at the first thing to come to mind, “Heh… go to a brothel, but I doubt they’d let you in.”
Disbelief, more than ignorance, laced John’s next question, “I’m sorry. A what?”
I took me a second to understand his meaning, “You guys don’t… You know the signs with Venlil on poles and stuff?”
He looked around as though his words were somehow illegal, “Do you mean the strip clubs?”
Why must you human’s be so weird? “What’s a strip club?”
His face flushed red, “It’s where like… People dance as they take off clothes.”
I rolled back over and rested my head on my paw, “John… We don’t normally wear clothes. Like, your planet is the only one that decided to have animals with exposed genitals and permanent boobs. Why would we put on clothes to then try and take off in a sexy manner?”
He threw his hands into the air, “I DON’T KNOW! I just got here! Prostitution is illegal where I come from!”
The discrepancy between how the federation treats it's more… sexual desires and how Humanity does could be, “Wait… If we ever decide to do it… Were you going to try and take off your clothes to seduce me?”
John refused to look me in the eye as he muttered, “... no…”
It was impossible for me to contain my glee, “Oh my gosh you were!”
He blushed loudly as he tried to hide his face and change the subject, “Is there really nothing else to do?”
A waved a paw in the air, “This is the second-largest city on the planet. Yeah, there are other things to do. We have one of the few anti-grav arcades, The planet’s largest shopping center, which also has this sector of the galaxy’s largest farmer’s market. Let’s see… oh yeah! I always enjoyed doing the puzzle rooms. There are also a few museums as well as the Species… Emporium…”
I quickly grabbed my phone and searched for any information I could on our local S.E. John tried to read over my shoulder, but his crash course on the Gojid language was no match for the alien text on my phone. A squee escaped my lips as I rolled over and touched my nose to his.
The heat radiating from his face warmed me as he tried to recover, “W-what? You seem way too excited for this to be a good thing!”
I smooshed his squishy face with my paws, “Sooooooo… You don’t know what a species emporium is, do you?”
He had a little trouble talking with a squished face, “No? Why would I… Is it like a zoo?”
I cocked my head to the side, “What’s a zoo?”
The gears ground to a halt in his head as he desperately tried to figure out how to describe it, “Uh… It’s like a place that keeps a lot of different kinds of animals on display for education and conservation stuff. Sounds bad, but most of the animals wouldn’t survive in the wild.”
My mind dug up memories of my trip to the Upliftment museum. I know the Zurulians weren’t on the former omnivore list, but can anything in there be taken as real now? I decided to trust it for now, “Sounds like what the Zurulians do. They keep entire fields dedicated to healing hurt animals. The Federation stepped in when they were being uplifted and stopped them from helping predators… Which I guess might not have been a good thing… Oh! No. Nothing like a zoo. Think a VR palace that basically lets you experience what it is like to be a member of another species. They just added a section on humans. I kind of want to see how bad it is!”
John glanced at his wheelchair, “Well… I am not exactly in shape to be too active right now…”
I glanced at their site to see how restrictive it might be, “That’s alright. It might give you motion sickness, but they have methods of moving that don’t require using your body. Mostly because some species are a little too big or small to fit into universal equipment.”
John glanced across the park at his found family, “It sounds like a date… Do you mind if I let Mikvia and Loke know I am leaving? I’d like it to just be me and you, but I don’t want them thinking I just disappeared.”
I tried to tease John, “Of course not! I’m a stupid Sivkit, not a heartless predator!”
He sat up quickly and placed the palms of his hands on either side of my head, “Silvera. You aren’t stupid. The Sivkits fly spaceships and regularly go from world to world without help. They maintain an entire life in the stars. That’s not something a stupid race could do. Don’t let racism get to you, ok?”
My ears drooped in shame, “I- uhm… I am sorry, John. I won’t Joke like that again.”
He gently pressed his lips to the top of my head, “Good. Self depreciation isn’t the best way to be humorous. It invites assholes to use it against you.”
I could hear the pain in his voice. How in all of the galaxy could anyone call them emotionless monsters, “You sound like you have had personal experience with that.”
He slowly closed his eyes as he nodded his head, “Yeah. It’s an easy way to be funny, but it's not worth the blow to your self-esteem.”
Mila came to mind. We made way to many jokes about how others perceived us. Maybe it was time to change that, “I’ll make sure to remember that.”
“Good. Let’s go say bye and see what this emporium is like. Maybe we can swing by that farmer’s market too. I’d like to try some alien veggies. See if I can’t make something fun for dinner.”

Nothing too much this episode. John and Silvera get to know each other and just… exist together. Learn boundaries. Share a little bit of their cultures. We did skip over John’s more detailed backstory due to viewer feedback and it being somewhat referenced already in story and with his own Shenanigans and lore story, BUT I have plans to do a good recap.
The brief of it is John was born to a prostitute who’s father was forced to pay child support but never cared for them. His mother became a drug addict who worked for her drugs. She conceived Jamie (His little brother) on said drugs. He was born addicted to said drugs. CPS dropped the ball and never took Jamie or John from Thier home. A 12 year old John dedicated his life to taking care of Jamie which included caring for his special needs, getting a source of income, sometimes legit, sometimes stealing/selling drugs for gangs/or working in the “Family Business.” When John’s home was robbed he defended it with a shotgun, and the castle doctrine kept him from Jail. Someone mugged his mother and He hunted them down and accidentally murdered them, Thier was no investigation as hogs got to the unconscious man first. He has been in numerous street fights, multiple of them, just himself against multiple armed thugs.

It felt like my spine was being aligned into its proper state for the first time in my life, “Also had a guy bypass safety features amputate their own arm with a concrete saw.”
I did nothing as John's hands reached the base of my tail… that's a lie, I lifted it… “Ah. Advanced stupidity.”
I rested against the wall of fur that was John's chest, “What's it like working in a job that has technically ordered you to kill yourself?”
He took a moment to stretch across the clovers before answering me, “I work with a giant ant spider thing that believes the Arxur built the pyramids two thousand years before their own ‘real’ first contact.”
I could feel my brain grinding to try and make sense of why someone would believe that, “... what the fuck?”
His fingers dug back into my fur, “So, I learned a long time ago that people who believe in conspiracy theories are prone to believing in multiple theories. Even if they wildly conflict with each other.”
I was starting to see where this was going, “So you've been using that to mess with them?”
A wicked smile spread across his face, “In my defense! I didn't teach him about the lizard people that rule the earth conspiracy. I did teach him about hollow Earth and flat Earth. Hehe, it hasn't clicked yet, and I doubt it will!”
How can a planet be flat? “I'm sorry. Flat Earth? Like, I can understand hollow Earth, some mega engineers wanted to make an artificial planet. It's just the tech just doesn’t exist, but flat?”
John shrugged, “Don't ask me. I'm not stupid enough to understand the logic. I think it's just people not trusting the government. Like Area 51… which you don't know about… it was a top secret military aircraft testing facility that people believed was hiding aliens. The laughably inaccurate museum on humans came rushing back into the forefront of my mind. More importantly, the race responsible for said museum and how they gathered that information clicked into place with that conspiracy, “Wait… Oh my gosh! That was the Farsul wasn't it?”
For a moment, John laid in shock before he shook off my thought, “It… well, it was after the Cold War, and they thought we were all dead, so it couldn't have been them.”
There was only one other race I could think of that had any interest in humanity, “Could it have been the Arxur?”
The silence as John froze filled me with a little dread, “... holy shit, it could have been. They knew where Earth was to come defend it… I thought it was just them mistaking some foreign aircraft for a UFO… like an alien UFO not a- you know what I mean.”

Part of me wondered if the odd Arxur raid in federation safe space wasn't by happenstance, “Because it means they are smarter than we give them credit for. It means the main reason they attacked Venlil space wasn't to raid, but to be humanity’s first contact. They just misjudged how close your people were to FTL…”
John's reasoning seemed to be on a slightly different path to my own line of reasoning, “Makes me wonder if that fleet the Arxur was always stationed there just past where the sun would reveal them… Waiting for the right moment to say hello.”
I flipped over, and stretched as my body out and let myself fall limp, “Ugh. I don’t want to think about this anymore.”
John’s fingers found their way to my belly, “Fair enough. There anything else to do in this city other than got to this park or drink?”
I couldn’t help but let out a short laugh at the first thing to come to mind, “Heh… go to a brothel, but I doubt they’d let you in.”
Disbelief, more than ignorance, laced John’s next question, “I’m sorry. A what?”
I took me a second to understand his meaning, “You guys don’t… You know the signs with Venlil on poles and stuff?”
He looked around as though his words were somehow illegal, “Do you mean the strip clubs?”
Why must you human’s be so weird? “What’s a strip club?”
His face flushed red, “It’s where like… People dance as they take off clothes.”
I rolled back over and rested my head on my paw, “John… We don’t normally wear clothes. Like, your planet is the only one that decided to have animals with exposed genitals and permanent boobs. Why would we put on clothes to then try and take off in a sexy manner?”
He threw his hands into the air, “I DON’T KNOW! I just got here! Prostitution is illegal where I come from!”
The discrepancy between how the federation treats it's more… sexual desires and how Humanity does could be, “Wait… If we ever decide to do it… Were you going to try and take off your clothes to seduce me?”

I quickly grabbed my phone and searched for any information I could on our local S.E. John tried to read over my shoulder, but his crash course on the Gojid language was no match for the alien text on my phone. A squee escaped my lips as I rolled over and touched my nose to his.
The heat radiating from his face warmed me as he tried to recover, “W-what? You seem way too excited for this to be a good thing!”
I smooshed his squishy face with my paws, “Sooooooo… You don’t know what a species emporium is, do you?”
He had a little trouble talking with a squished face, “No? Why would I… Is it like a zoo?”
I cocked my head to the side, “What’s a zoo?”
The gears ground to a halt in his head as he desperately tried to figure out how to describe it, “Uh… It’s like a place that keeps a lot of different kinds of animals on display for education and conservation stuff. Sounds bad, but most of the animals wouldn’t survive in the wild.”
My mind dug up memories of my trip to the Upliftment museum. I know the Zurulians weren’t on the former omnivore list, but can anything in there be taken as real now? I decided to trust it for now, “Sounds like what the Zurulians do. They keep entire fields dedicated to healing hurt animals. The Federation stepped in when they were being uplifted and stopped them from helping predators… Which I guess might not have been a good thing… Oh! No. Nothing like a zoo. Think a VR palace that basically lets you experience what it is like to be a member of another species. They just added a section on humans. I kind of want to see how bad it is!”
John glanced at his wheelchair, “Well… I am not exactly in shape to be too active right now…”
I glanced at their site to see how restrictive it might be, “That’s alright. It might give you motion sickness, but they have methods of moving that don’t require using your body. Mostly because some species are a little too big or small to fit into universal equipment.”
John glanced across the park at his found family, “It sounds like a date… Do you mind if I let Mikvia and Loke know I am leaving? I’d like it to just be me and you, but I don’t want them thinking I just disappeared.”
I tried to tease John, “Of course not! I’m a stupid Sivkit, not a heartless predator!”
He sat up quickly and placed the palms of his hands on either side of my head, “Silvera. You aren’t stupid. The Sivkits fly spaceships and regularly go from world to world without help. They maintain an entire life in the stars. That’s not something a stupid race could do. Don’t let racism get to you, ok?”
My ears drooped in shame, “I- uhm… I am sorry, John. I won’t Joke like that again.”
He gently pressed his lips to the top of my head, “Good. Self depreciation isn’t the best way to be humorous. It invites assholes to use it against you.”
I could hear the pain in his voice. How in all of the galaxy could anyone call them emotionless monsters, “You sound like you have had personal experience with that.”
He slowly closed his eyes as he nodded his head, “Yeah. It’s an easy way to be funny, but it's not worth the blow to your self-esteem.”
Mila came to mind. We made way to many jokes about how others perceived us. Maybe it was time to change that, “I’ll make sure to remember that.”
“Good. Let’s go say bye and see what this emporium is like. Maybe we can swing by that farmer’s market too. I’d like to try some alien veggies. See if I can’t make something fun for dinner.”

Nothing too much this episode. John and Silvera get to know each other and just… exist together. Learn boundaries. Share a little bit of their cultures. We did skip over John’s more detailed backstory due to viewer feedback and it being somewhat referenced already in story and with his own Shenanigans and lore story, BUT I have plans to do a good recap.
The brief of it is John was born to a prostitute who’s father was forced to pay child support but never cared for them. His mother became a drug addict who worked for her drugs. She conceived Jamie (His little brother) on said drugs. He was born addicted to said drugs. CPS dropped the ball and never took Jamie or John from Thier home. A 12 year old John dedicated his life to taking care of Jamie which included caring for his special needs, getting a source of income, sometimes legit, sometimes stealing/selling drugs for gangs/or working in the “Family Business.” When John’s home was robbed he defended it with a shotgun, and the castle doctrine kept him from Jail. Someone mugged his mother and He hunted them down and accidentally murdered them, Thier was no investigation as hogs got to the unconscious man first. He has been in numerous street fights, multiple of them, just himself against multiple armed thugs.

 | Hi there! So, I started losing my hair in my mid 20s- 43 now. Hair loss has finally stabilized and reversed some, this is the best it’s going to get. I have been cutting my own hair- badly- for the last 10 years because I was embarrassed about how thin it was and also shy to stand up for what I want. No hairstylist would ever agree to give me layers, only blunt bobs and they look too severe with my long angular face and nose- I also have a weird shaped head at the crown so I need a little lift to hide it. I’d really like to try a razor cut or a shaggy bob which is what I tried to give myself previously but it’s grown out quite a bit. I live in the cleveland area if anyone can recommend a place that can do razor cuts or give me a hairstyle that doesn’t make me look like I want to speak to a manager. Initially, Heroy saw his little brother as just someone who lived with him and didn't speak much to him. However, this changed after an accident when his brother was four years old. They were at a lake, and his brother fell into the water and almost drowned. Heroy, who was right beside him, did not react immediately. It was only when some passersby angrily shouted at him to do something that he began to take action. He walked calmly towards his brother, not in a hurry.
This incident marked the first time Heroy questioned whether he was normal. He wondered if, without the intervention of the passersby, he would have just let his brother die. This accident made Heroy questioned why in the first time, why had he never try to talk to him. He began to approach him more, teaching him how to swim and other skills. This event was a turning point, leading Heroy to foster a deeper bond with his brother and to question his own emotional responses. Together they learned nen at an early age from their hunter research father. He showed natural talent for swordsmanship and zetsu due to his low profile and rather quiet personality. Over the years, members of his family began to die one by one from various causes including his brother. Since then, his personality only worsened and caused him to consider himself as an unlucky person.
He started going out late at night to find people to beat up to release his stress and to hone his skills. His fascination with human anatomy grew from these violent encounters, leading him down a darker path. He developed a tendency to self-harm, whimsical, cunning, and playful with the people around him. He slowly begins to research for something new and starts killing insects, then small animals to study anatomy and body modification, and eventually switched to human body and poisons. This macabre interest gave birth to his first Hatsu , Insatiable Blob.
Heroy's inability to cry over his dead family led him to question his capacity for love, further fueling his descent into criminality. He started to call himself Mizmiz in reference of his deceased brother, and left behind a son. During his adventures, Heroy encountered Feitan, whom he fought against, and somehow our Heroy developed an attachement to him, maybe because his demeanor remind him of his little brother or just his talent for swordsmanship.

Heroy is a transmuter of 165 centimeters tall, 65kg, very muscular build due to his intensive daily training. He is black with very short dreadlocks black hair and brown eyes with well-marked dark circles. Heroy wears a black mask covered with bandages with 2 playful eyes because he thinks it looks cool. His outfit includes a black compression long sleeve top with 2 red shoulder taps that descend to the elbows with sharp teeth fixed on it. A large white rope belt with a cloth tied behind it with a long black and red sword. A dark long pant with bandages on the ankles. With black flat shoes.

But with people, he is at ease, Heroy can show a talkative and whimsical side. He will generally try to make the people around him laugh and laugh when he fells uncomfortable and anxious and put his trust in anyone who remains his little brother unconsciously. In terms of social relationships, Heroy is horrible at it. The last time he remembers is that he never made the first contact with anyone to try to befriend. The user creates a viscous/rubber-like nen beast with small mouths and sharp teeth all over its body that repose on the user's body. The user must feed Insatiable Blob to create a bob to the user before it is utilized. Insatiable Blob possesses basic intelligence and supplies itself with flesh, blood, bones, and nen, which it stores in its stomach and converts for its user's use or strengthens itself. I.B can absorb a huge amount of physical attacks, impacts, or earthquakes. I.B has its own personality and can act on his own. Will obey without contesting the user's orders, and it is very attached to its owner. It is very tricky and cunning, and it likes to torture its prey.
Limitations :
1)When hungry, Insatiable blob will lose its intelligence and simply follow its pure desires, but will continue to protect its user and eat.
1,5)Insatiable Blob will only have its passives skills and try to eat any living being within 5 meters.
2) Insatiable blob can hardly defend against sharp and perforant attacks.
3)Insatiable Blob can only strech itself up to 5 meters to remain at full power and control if in contact with the user. Up to 5 meters, the user has to split it.

Perfect Disguise
Can take the appearance, other features and nen signature of prey that the Insatiable Blob devours entirely with no flaw that he can store in the form of data and use it when he wants. The user can replicate the prey's appearance on himself or with Insatiable Blob that he can control to set up traps or diversion.
Limitations :
1)The user can store a maximum of 5 disguises. Up to 5, he needs to delete 1 disguise to replace it.
2)During disguise, the blob or the user cannot attack during perfect disguise.
3)The user can use a maximum of 1 disguise. A cooldown of 3 days is needed between each use of Perfect Disguise.

Partial disguises
The user can create a copy of a person just by having a physical touch and sample of the target that last 1 hour.
Limitations :
1)The copy is based on the view and knowledge of the user.
2)The user cannot copy things he does not know or view of the desired target.

The user combines I.B in his body to give him a rubber-like nature and gain full control over his overall body working in pair with Insatiable Blob.
Limitations :
1)The user cannot recreate missing part however, he can replace it with I.B which can act as a parasite which connect directly to the brain.

3)Can be once in a day.
Feast of poison
Insatiable Blob can detach a few portions of itself that travel through the En of the user and hide to attach to the opponent and bite him, injecting saliva containing concentrated of transmuted poison chosen by the user. Enhancing the effect several times.

*1)In this form, one hit can kill the emitted Insatiable Blob
The last will of the survivor
When the user's heart stop, the blob will enter survival mode and do anything to assure the safety of the user. Insatiable blob will fuse with the user's organs and started pumping bloods and draining the user's nen ensuring his survival. In the event that the user's head is cut off after his heart stopped, within 20 seconds and 20 meters, Insatiable Blob can act as veins, muscles, and flesh to attach the head, circulate blood to the brain, attach the head back to the body, and heal while sacrificing some of the of the flesh of the user. The blob can eat unimportant parts of the user's body to ensure his survival as a last resort.

Hello everyone !
I wish to learn spark, and i installed it but when i type some code it throws me Java errors from everywhere and even my tutors have no freaking idea of what is going on.
Althought the dependencies of Java, python and Spark have been correctly installed and mentionned in the path, there's no way to make this crap work just even two minutes !

I wish to learn spark, and i installed it but when i type some code it throws me Java errors from everywhere and even my tutors have no freaking idea of what is going on.
Althought the dependencies of Java, python and Spark have been correctly installed and mentionned in the path, there's no way to make this crap work just even two minutes !
Can anyone help me understand what happens ?

I cut my own bangs back in December - but I cut them too close to the ears and too far up (imagine a 60s mod/the Beatles hairstyle, but only in the front). 5 months later, the bangs have grown almost to my chin, but they still looked awkward, so I cut a smaller portion of the front hair into shorter bangs (hoping the contrast would appear more like a face-frame). I also got an a-line bob, thinking it would look less like a mullet, but now, I feel like I look like a Yu-gi-oh character. I don't feel comfortable posting a picture, so I hope I described it enough to be understandable.
I've tried sea-salt spray, and I'm even using cleansing conditioner instead of shampoo to make it more voluminous, but I feel like I now just have a greasy mullet. Any advice on how to style the hair so my hair looks more feminine/natural? Or do I just take the L and wait another 6 months?
