Studio display - dead pixels

2024.05.29 13:22 ZankoZanko Studio display - dead pixels

Hello everybody,
I have question about half a year old Studio display. Yesterday unexpectedly when browsing on a internet, there appeared a line which is for me very similar to dead pixels. I am adding an image where it can be seen.
Because it is half year old monitor, it still has limited warranty, which may covers all non physical damages.
So my question is; has someone already had a similar type of problem? Can servis just replace the panel of the monitor? Can they complicate? Or what about if nothing is possible, do you get the new one?
All in all, I am a little bit worried because from my point of view, display is premium class with the premium price and this should not be acceptable, especially after 6 months from buying it...

2024.05.29 13:13 USA_Anti_stalking Government Sponsored Harassment Program:

Government Sponsored Harassment Program: Life-long Official Torture Must Be Stopped Now
This article was first published several years ago. It’s still very relevant. Then Senator Joe Biden himself is one of the sponsors of COPS, the government program for community harassment of targeted individuals.
Following are excerpts from a well hidden article published on the disinformation site called Veteran’s News Now. I’m leaving out the disinformation, and publishing the part that I know to be fact, having had to deal with it for a life time.
These ‘gangs’ of spies are taught harassment techniques such as “gas-lighting” within the U.S. military. I’ve learned this from people who’ve gone through the training and who have confessed of its existence. Government jobs are the rewards given to those who participate. Welfare entitlements are also used as forms of payment so that the financial burden of this army of tormentors is placed on the shoulders of those of us who are employed, and most Americans are now in the minimum wage service economy. Pretty much everyone else has already been dispossessed of their assets. The psychopaths who control this army don’t have to spend a dime of their own money for the program, which even has an official name: COPS. It’s made out to look good, of course. It’s not. Perhaps there are others out there who recognize the patterns described in this article and will join me in speaking out.
What penalty is appropriate for criminals who destroy lives slowly by pretending to be a friend or by marrying their victims, and charging the tax payer for this service?
By Rahul Manchanda, Esq. on August 21, 2016
In Bill Clinton’s COPS Gang-Stalking Program, civilian spies are recruited from every segment of society, and everyone in the “targets” life is made a part of this ongoing, continuous, and systematic form of control and harassment, with such actions that are specifically designed to control the target and to “keep them in line,” like a Pavlovian Dog. These actions are also designed to mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, socially, and psychologically destroy the target over years, to make them appear to be crazy, leave them with no form of support whatsoever, and ultimately to drive the target to suicide.
In 1975 Senator Frank Church convened a joint senatorial/congressional inquiry into the egregious human rights and civil liberties violations of the Central Intelligence Agency (“CIA”), National Security Agency (“NSA”), as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) against people both foreign and domestic. Such blatant transgressions included the “neutralization” and “elimination” of political dissidents, “enemies of the state,” real or imagined threats to National Security, and anyone else on the proverbial shit list of the Military Industrial Complex (“MIC”).
The terms ‘enemy of the State’ refers to traditional enemies of the Masonic mob. The Catholic enemy is simply the Roman Catholic Church and the families that have supported it for centuries. They are law and order people.
The Mob calls them enemies.
The “Church Committee” a U.S. Senate committee chaired by Senator Frank Church (D-ID) in 1975, was a Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities. A precursor to the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, the committee investigated intelligence gathering for illegality by the aforementioned agencies after certain activities had been revealed by the Watergate affair. Of course, intelligence agencies protect each other.
To discredit one spy agency is to discredit all of them. The number of jobs, sub-contractors, perks and freebies is beyond measure at this point. There were spy families before, now there are entire spy populations who live internationally, have several identities in several countries who live very, very good lives and get immunity from just about any prosecution. They get their pick of government jobs, all of them are easy, and they get the fast lane when applying for free government benefits.
The December 22, 1974 New York Times article by Seymour Hersh detailed operations engaged in by the CIA over the years that had been dubbed the “family jewels”. The article pretends that all these covert action programs of assassination were attempts against foreign leaders to subvert foreign governments. In actuality, the only thing foreign to this fraudulent government are Catholics, the assassinations were against Catholics, the subversion was against American Catholics. The fact of such programs were reported for the first time: (7) efforts by intelligence agencies to collect information on the political activities of US citizens; and (8) countless other examples, both overseas and domestically. (See original article for references)
The end result of the Church Committee Hearings was the outright banning on CIA assassinations as well as the FBI/DOJ COINTELPRO gang-stalking programs.
This means that anyone and everyone who is employed or who volunteers to torment the life any other individual is guilty of a federal offense and should certainly stand trial. Those found guilty should be punished in such a way that the punishment will deter future perpetrators of these multi-generational crimes.
In 1975 and 1976, the Church Committee published fourteen reports on various U.S. intelligence agencies’ formation, operations, and the alleged abuses of law and of power that they had committed, with recommendations for reform, some of which were later put in place.
Under recommendations and pressure by this committee, President Gerald Ford issued Executive Order 11905 (ultimately replaced in 1981 by President Reagan’s Executive Order 12333) to ban U.S. sanctioned assassinations of foreign leaders. It did not mention domestic leaders.
Does it ban assassinations of American future leaders in the 20-23 age range? Is this permitted?
The Church Committee’s reports supposedly constitute the most extensive review of intelligence activities ever made available to the public. Much of the contents were classified, but over 50,000 pages were declassified under the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992.
Thanks to the concept of ‘redactions’, these declassified documents still protect the assassins and the names of the victims, by giving the Mob Government the right to black out anything they choose to. Those of us who are targeted and who’ve lost family members are left completely defenseless, unable to identify these assassins and fraudsters who continue to invade our personal lives with impunity.
The Church Committee learned that beginning in the 1950s, the CIA and FBI intercepted, opened, and photographed more than 215,000 pieces of mail by the time the program was shut down. Certainly this is a lie. The spying of mail started much earlier in Europe. The Church report found that the CIA was zealous about keeping the US Postal Service from learning that mail was being opened by government agents. CIA agents moved mail to a private room to open the mail or in some cases opened envelopes at night after stuffing them in briefcases or coat pockets to deceive postal officials. This is still going on of course, and it didn’t begin in the 1950’s. I’ve found evidence of it throughout the South during the Civil War.
On May 9, 1975, the Church Committee called CIA director William Colby. That same day Ford’s top advisers (Henry Kissinger, Donald Rumsfeld, Philip W. Buchen, and John Marsh) drafted a method to protect their beloved assassins and torturers, many of whom have been rewarded with the highest public offices throughout the world.
No one in government expressed concern for the victims or for the survival of our nation.
The Ford administration, particularly Rumsfeld, was “concerned” about the effort by members of the Church Committee in the Senate and the Pike Committee in the House to curtail the power of U.S. intelligence agencies. It seemed that Rumsfeld et al was comfortable giving the power to arbitrarily destroy anyone as “enemies of the state” by anyone working in the IC and MIC.
COINTELPRO (COunter INTELligence PROgram) was a series of covert and illegal projects conducted by the FBI aimed at surveilling, infiltrating, discrediting, and disrupting domestic “political dissidents.”
FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, brother of Al Capone, issued directives on COINTELPRO, ordering FBI agents to “expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, neutralize or otherwise eliminate” the activities of the targeted. Under Hoover, the agent in charge of COINTELPRO was William C. Sullivan.
Their actics against the very people whose tax contributions pay their salary included anonymous phone calls, IRS audits, and the creation of documents that would divide their target’s families. I’ve experienced all of this.
One way of dividing a family is by confiscating their house. My personal and present experience with this is that a number of these agents cooperate to steal proof of tax payment and also to steal the notifications sent out by the Sheriff’s office about tax liens and tax sales on the property. When one prays and places oneself under God’s protection, it’s possible to overcome these tactics. In my case, pure coincidence allowed me to discover that my own proof of payment of property taxes had been stolen and that my house had already been given to a company in Minnesota, Lima Investments to be exact, for the grand total of about $200.00 or the tax for one year, all that was allegedly owed. Having a government places us all in great danger, and it’s just time to get rid of it. All of it.
These government tactics are used against us, our relatives, our friends.
The Final Report of the Select Frank Church Committee blasted with hot air the behavior of the intelligence community in its domestic operations (including COINTELPRO) in no uncertain terms:
“The Committee finds that the domestic activities of the intelligence community at times violated specific statutory prohibitions and infringed the constitutional rights of American citizens. The legal questions involved in intelligence programs were often not considered. On other occasions, they were intentionally disregarded in the belief that because the programs served the “national security” the law did not apply. While intelligence officers on occasion failed to disclose to their superiors programs which were illegal or of questionable legality, the Committee finds that the most serious breaches of duty were those of senior officials, who were responsible for controlling intelligence activities and generally failed to assure compliance with the law. Many of the techniques used would be intolerable in a democratic society even if all of the targets had been involved in violent activity, but COINTELPRO went far beyond that – the Bureau conducted a sophisticated vigilante operation aimed squarely at preventing the exercise of First Amendment rights of speech and association, on the theory that preventing the growth of dangerous groups and the propagation of dangerous ideas would protect the national security and deter violence.”
They continue the pretense that individuals aren’t targeted, only “groups and movements “. According to attorney Brian Glick in his book War at Home, the FBI used four main methods during COINTELPRO:
(1) Infiltration: Agents and informers did not merely spy on selected targets. Their main purpose was to discredit and disrupt. Their very presence served to undermine trust and scare off potential supporters of the target through lies and false accusations. The FBI and police exploited this fear to smear genuinely good people as agents, accusing their victims of doing what the FBI itself was doing;
(2) Psychological warfare: The FBI and police used myriad “dirty tricks” to undermine people who they opposed. They planted false media stories and published bogus leaflets and other publications in the name of targeted groups. They forged correspondence, sent anonymous letters, and made anonymous telephone calls. They spread misinformation about meetings and events, set up pseudo movement groups run by government agents, and manipulated or strong-armed parents, employers, landlords, school officials and others to cause trouble for activists. They used bad-jacketing to create suspicion about targets, sometimes with lethal consequences; They sent people to marry into and befriend the families of their perceived enemies, also usually with lethal consequences.
(3) Harassment via the legal system: The FBI and police abused the legal system to harass regular people and make them appear to be criminals. Officers of the law gave perjured testimony and presented fabricated evidence as a pretext for false arrests and wrongful imprisonment. They discriminatorily enforced tax laws and other government regulations and used conspicuous surveillance, “investigative” interviews, and grand jury subpoenas in an effort to intimidate activists and silence their supporters;
(4) Illegal force: The FBI conspired with local police departments to threaten dissidents; to conduct illegal break-ins in order to search dissident homes; and to commit vandalism, assaults, beatings and assassinations. The object was to frighten or eliminate dissidents and disrupt their movements.
The FBI specifically developed tactics intended to heighten tension and hostility between various factions in their targeted groups and individuals, and this resulted in numerous deaths.
While COINTELPRO was officially terminated in April 1971, evidence is that reforms did not succeed in ending COINTELPRO tactics, which now includes harassment on social media, obstruction of commerce through social media censorship, search engine censorship, hacking into independent websites and denial of emergency welfare benefits.
JOE BIDEN’S “COPS” FEDERAL AND STATE SANCTIONED GANG-STALKING AND LIFE-TORTURE PROGRAM
“Community-Oriented Policing,” (“COPS”) is a strategy of policing that focuses on police “building ties and working closely with members of the communities.” It originated in 1994 when then Senator Joseph Biden wrote and then President Bill Clinton enacted the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act (“VCCLEA”) establishing the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (“COPS”) within the US Department of Justice.
Community policing is supposedly a policy that requires police to engage in a “proactive approach” to address public safety concerns, and is a cornerstone of the Clinton Administration, gaining its funding from the 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act.
Common implementations of community-policing include:
(1) relying on community-based crime prevention by utilizing “civilian education,” neighborhood watch, and a variety of other techniques, as opposed to relying solely on police patrols;
(2) restructuring the patrol from an emergency response based system to emphasizing proactive techniques such as foot patrol;
(3) increased officer accountability to civilians they are “supposed to serve;” and
(4) decentralizing police authority, allowing more discretion amongst lower-ranking officers, and more initiative expected from them.
In other words, federal and state sanctioned and approved PUNISHMENT FOR NO CRIME COMMITTED.
Gang Stalking has many similarities to workplace mobbing, but takes place outside in the community or in the home after infiltrating social groups, where the target is followed around and placed under surveillance by groups of organized civilian spies/snitches 24/7, 365 days a year.
When a target moves or changes jobs, the harassment continues. There is no mercy with the GOVERNMENT. If the target complains, the look of triumph is seen ON THEIR FACES, for there is no one to complain to but other spies, double agents and enemies in the pay of the government. Some of us are absolutely surrounded and live that way our entire lives, unless the mercy of God intervenes.
Targeted Individuals are harassed for months or years before they realize that they are being targeted by an organized Life-Torture Program.
Many innocent people are targeted for these harassment programs. Their friends, family, and the community at large, through massive prescription drugging, brainwashing and media control, are used to monitor, prosecute, and harass them. In the former Jewish controlled USSR these programs accused innocent people of being an “enemy of the state,” or “mentally unfit,” and many were institutionalized or murdered using this form of governmental systematic control.
Despite the fact that these actions are designed to mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, socially, and psychologically destroy the target over years, to make them appear to be crazy, and leave them with no form of support, whatsoever,in actual practice something very different happens.
I’ve observed that these malicious operatives end up becoming mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, socially, and psychologically destroyed themselves over the years, while their targets, such as myself, manage to adapt our lives in very creative ways. Those who end up appearing to be crazy, and with no form of support, whatsoever, are the ones doing the torturing.
For the state, this appears to be a way to keep their targets in line, control them, or ultimately destroy them. Instead, we’ll be seeing the state itself destroyed along with every pirate who depends on it for cash and status even while they work to destroy the very source of that cash and status, the productive tax payers whose dependence on their pirate system diminishes as a result of the harassment.
This systematic form of control is funded at every level of government, every agency is involved in it. All of them.
Targets can be chosen for many reasons, but mainly they are targeted for knowing too much or for being legitimate, historically Catholic bloodline that has shunned inbreeding. This bloodline makes for an intelligent and capable individual who will tend to differ with the Masonic Mob in terms of political views and ideas of right and wrong. People who don’t cooperate with the rape and pillage of our nation will find themselves labelled as:
(1) whistle-blowers;
(2) political dissident;
(3) one who asserts rights at work;
(4) one who has personally displeased a member of the DeMolay Society;
(5) one who is too outspoken;
(6) one who is an investigator ;
(7) a signer of a petition;
(8) a writer of letters;
(9) one who is reported as “suspicious” by a civilian spy/snitch; or
(10) one who is a religious/ethnic/racial minority, which means being Catholic, which to the Pirate State makes us an enemy.
The goal of the COPS state sanctioned organized gang-stalking and domestic torture program is to isolate the target from all forms of support, so that the target can be set up in the future for arrest, institutionalized, or forced suicide. Other goals of this harassment are to destroy the targets reputation and credibility, and to make the target look “crazy” or unstable.
The process often involves sensitizing the target to every day negative and even horrific “stimuli” as a form of control, which is used to control targets when they “get out of line.” Targets of this relentless and merciless harassment become vulnerable and destitute, and often become homeless, jobless, have a breakdown, are driven to suicide, similar to targets of the banned COINTELPRO. The government eliminates perceived “enemies of the state” in this manner.
Every time the target moves, the same defamation, lies, libel, and slander will be spread, and the systematic harassment will continue. Online defamation, libel, and slander on the internet has made this continuation of COPS gang-stalking a great deal easier.
People from all segments of society can be recruited to be the “eyes and ears” of the state, such as laborers, drug dealers, drug users, street people, prostitutes, punks, church groups, youth groups, your best friend, your lawyer, local policeman, doctor, emergency services, a neighbor, family, social workers, politicians, judges, dentists, vet, supermarket cashier, postman, religious leader, care worker, landlord, anyone.
Most of these recruited civilian spies/snitches do not understand or even care that the end consequence of this harassment protocol is to eventually destroy the targeted person, and function as “useful idiots” of the state sanctioned COPS gang-stalking program.
It has been reported that people and family members participate in this COPS gang stalking because it:
(1) gives them a sense of power;
(2) is a way to make friends;
(3) is something social and fun;
(4) breaks down race/gendeage/social barriers;
(5) is forced or blackmailed upon them by the State or police to take part;
(6) is told to them that they are part of “homeland or national security” to help keep an eye on “dangerous” or “emotionally disturbed” individuals where they are “heroic spies for the state;”
(7) is used on local thugs or informants who are already being used for other activities where their energies are diverted into these COPS gangstalking community spy programs; (8) is either a choice of spying for the State or police, or else go to jail; (9) involves outright lies and slander about the target to get them to go along with ruining the targets life; (10) includes average citizens recruited by the state the same way citizens were recruited in the former East Germany and other countries.
Some techniques used against targets in this organized COPS Gang-stalking program include:
(1) classic conditioning where a target is sensitized to everyday stimuli over a period of months and years to harass them in public to let them know they are constantly being harassed and monitored;
(2) 24/7 Surveillance following the target everywhere they go, learning about the target and where they shop, work, play, who their friends and family are, getting close to the target, moving into the community or apartment where they live, across the street, monitoring the targets phone, house, and computer activity; I’ve known them to marry family members. Watch the Cable Guy movie for an illustration of how they operate.
(3) isolating the target via defamation, libel, and slander campaigns, (eg, people in the target’s community are told that the target is a thief, into drugs, a prostitute, pedophile, crazy, in trouble for something, needs to be watched, false files will even be produced on the target, shown to neighbors, family, store keepers);
(4) constant or intermittent noise and mimicking campaigns disrupting the targets life and sleep with loud power tools, construction, stereos, doors slamming, etc;
(5) talking in public about private things in the target’s life;
(6) mimicking actions of the target and basically letting the target know that they are in the target’s life; (7) daily interferences, not too overt to the untrained eye, but psychologically degrading and damaging to the target over time;
(8) everyday life breaks and street theater such as flat tires, sleep deprivation, drugging food, putting dirt on targets property;
(9) mass strangers doing things in public to annoy targets such as getting called/text messages to be at a specific time and place to perform a specific action;
(10) blocking targets path, getting ahead of them in line, cutting or boxing them in on the road, saying or doing things to elicit a response from the target;
(11) “baiting” tactics where a surveillance operation can selectively capture evidence of a targeted person responding to harassment, and then that evidence could then be used to justify the initiation of more formal scrutiny by a government agency.
The COPS Gang-Stalking Program, as all other state sanctioned/approved gang-stalking programs, have always been funded by the Government. They are the only ones with enough money, coordination, and power to keep such a system in place. These coordinated efforts then join hands with others for this systemic form of control and harassment.
Such operations have nothing to do with the target’s criminality – they are led and perpetrated by federal agents and intelligence/security contractors, often with the support of state and local law enforcement personnel. Unofficial operations of this type are often private investigators and vigilantes – including many former agents and police officers, sometimes on behalf of corporate clients and others with connections to the public and private elements of America’s security industry.
The goal of such operations is “disruption” of the life of an individual deemed to be an enemy (or potential enemy) of clients or members of the security state. Arguably, the most accurate term for this form of harassment would be “counterintelligence stalking.” I would call it simply “Torture”.
Agents of communist East Germany’s Stasi (state police) referred to this process as Zersetzung (German for “decomposition” or “corrosion” – a reference to the severe psychological, social, and financial effects upon the victim). Victims have described the process as “no-touch torture” – a phrase which also captures the nature of the crime: cowardly, unethical (and often illegal), but difficult to prove legally, because it generates minimal forensic evidence.
Tactics include online and personal slander, libel, defamation, blacklisting, “mobbing” (intense, organized harassment in public), “black bag jobs” (residential break-ins), abusive phone calls, computer hacking, framing, threats, blackmail, vandalism, “street theater” (staged physical and verbal interactions with the minions of the people who orchestrate the stalking), harassment by noises, and other forms of bullying.
Such stalking is sanctioned (and in some cases, orchestrated) by federal agencies; however such stalking is also sometimes used unofficially for personal and corporate vendettas by current and former corrupt employees of law enforcement and intelligence agencies, private investigators, and their clients.
Since counterintelligence stalking goes far beyond surveillance – into the realm of psychological terrorism, as it is essentially a form of extrajudicial punishment. As such, the harassment is illegal – even when done by the government. It clearly violates the US Constitution’s Fourth Amendment, which prohibits unwarranted searches, and the Sixth Amendment which guarantees the right to a trial. Such operations also violate similar fundamental rights defined by state constitutions. Stalking is also specifically prohibited by the criminal codes of every state in America.
As was stated above, organized stalking methods were used extensively by communist East Germany’s Stasi (state police) as a means of maintaining political control over its citizens. Although this is supposedly illegal in the US, the same covert tactics are quietly used by America’s local and federal law enforcement, and intelligence agencies, to suppress individuals.
Although Edward Snowden’s revelations about the National Security Agency (“NSA”) in 2013 and 2014 generated a great deal of public discussion about mass surveillance, US domestic counterintelligence activities such as the COPS Program receive relatively little attention.
The FBI’s COINTELPRO operation is still happening, involving even more advanced surveillance technology – and this program is none other than Joseph Biden and Bill Clinton’s COPS Program.
US Department of Justice crime statistics from a 2006 survey indicated that an estimated 445,220 COPS gangstalking victims reported three or more perpetrators (the only ones reported), and this number is growing exponentially on a daily basis.
In addition to being morally reprehensible, the COPS gang stalking program, just like the original version of the FBI’s COINTELPRO operations, is very, very illegal. It violates criminal laws in all fifty states against stalking, as well as grossly violates the US Constitution’s prohibitions against warrantless searches and extra-judicial punishment.
What is extra-judicial punishment? It is punishment without trial, without a charge and without even the acknowledgement that a life-long punishment is inflicted.

2024.05.29 12:36 VigilanteOutLawStar Meprolight products

Meprolight products
Doing some testing and evaluations for my organization to ascertain what optic we are going to supply our dedicated squad leaders and also for a YouTube review video and so far I gotta hand it to meprolight on quality, reliability, durability and Innovativeness. The bullseye rear sight is very cool, very sleek, and.... Very small lol, it would be a great option for concealed micro compacts EDC, would like to see maybe a couple more options as far as sizes of the. Bullseye. As for their enclosed optics he Pro-S and the Pro-F I've run about 300 rds using the pro-s on a rear dovetail RMSC adapter plate and it's surprisingly running good like that, very different recoil impulse but still very on point and the reticle is crystal clear and sharp and the whole thing is just a damn fine piece of equipment, the Pro-F is gonna be here in a couple days to swap the Pro-S for cuz the F has RMR footprint so I'll be able to run it on my other Glock slide. Looking forward to it and would HIGHLY recommend these optics so far, will be posting full length YouTube reviews on my channel @OuterHeavenTactical

2024.05.29 12:02 BackgroundMost1180 Starfield Design Catalogue in Progress

Starfield Design Catalogue in Progress
I am gradually putting together a Design Catalogue to help with decorating in Starfield. It has two components:
  1. Screenshots of design and decorating idea and techniques. This has a ship decoration focus, which reflects the sub where the catalogue is hosted, but most of the content could likely be used or adapted for outposts and apartments, or is from outpost builds in the first place.
  2. A visual guide to the collectable items you can pick up around the game and drop from your inventory to decorate your outpost, apartment or ship, such as tools, ornaments and old Earth memorabilia and also weapons (and eventually equipment, food and resources too).
The catalogue is gradually being expanded, will hopefully include contributions from a range of builders and may be updated with better examples based on feedback (I just put in what I had to hand to get the process started).
The process of adding labels to the screenshots of collectable items is also gradually progressing, but it likely to take a while (there are A LOT of items to catalogue).
Another resource that may be helpful is the Item Location list (note: some spoilers as some items locations are gated behind quest progression).

2024.05.29 11:10 LOFTUS126 Hayes Dominion A4 Adapters

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me find out what adapters people are using to have 200mm Rotors with the Hayes Domion A4's.
I currently have their stock rotors 203mm F and 180mm R but want to change pads and get Sram HS2 200mm rotors F and R. But this requires a new adapter which Hayes themselves don't make specifically. So wondering what adapters people use? Hayes do make a 200mm PM to 220mm rotor adapter and think this would work best but unsure as I know they need ro make sure there is the correct clearance etc.
Amy suggestions or help appreciated.
But before people suggest just using 203mm rotors, I know I could but I want the Sram and they seem to be the best thick rotors on the market right now.

2024.05.29 10:58 Lolzz44 Loss of rtmp stream conversion in the end as ffmpeg is taking time to do the conversion.

I am streaming from obs studio to a nginx server which uses nginx-rtmp-module. I have a ffmpeg process which consumes the rtmp stream and convert to dash live stream. For every 4 second dash segment it takes approx 6-7 sec to do the conversion (may be due to low end device). So let's say i stopped the stream from obs and the total stream length is 10 minutes. Ffmpeg is not able to convert the complete rtmp stream to dash and it's loosing the content in the end. This is the ffmpeg command which i am using.
ffmpeg -f live_flv -re -i rtmp://172.20.10.8:1935/live/ls1 -max_muxing_queue_size 9999 -flags +global_header -r 60/1 -filter_complex "split=4[s0][s1][s2][s3];[s0]scale=640x360[s0];[s1]scale=854x480[s1];[s2]scale=1280x720[s2];[s3]scale=1920x1080[s3]" -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:v libx264 -b:v:0 700K -maxrate:v:0 700K -bufsize:v:0 700K/2 -b:v:1 1200K -maxrate:v:1 1200K -bufsize:v:1 1200K/2 -b:v:2 2500K -maxrate:v:2 2500K -bufsize:v:2 2500K/2 -b:v:3 6000K -maxrate:v:3 6000K -bufsize:v:3 6000K/2 -g:v 120 -keyint_min:v 120 -sc_threshold:v 0 -profile:v baseline -color_primaries bt709 -color_trc bt709 -colorspace bt709 -c:a aac -ar 48000 -b:a:0 64000 -b:a:1 128000 -b:a:2 163840 -map [s0] -map [s1] -map [s2] -map [s3] -map 0:a -map 0:a -map 0:a -preset veryfast -tune zerolatency -adaptation_sets 'id=0,streams=v id=1,streams=a' -seg_duration 4 -frag_duration 1 -frag_type duration -use_timeline 1 -use_template 1 -index_correction 1 -utc_timing_url "https://time.akamai.com/?iso" -window_size 75 -streaming 1 -ldash 1 -suggested_presentation_delay 3 -media_seg_name '$RepresentationID$/seg-$Number$.$ext$' -init_seg_name '$RepresentationID$/seg-init.$ext$' -f dash /live_streaming/data/$tenant_name/$stream_id/$stream_id.mpd.
What configuration more is required to consume the whole stream without loosing the ending stream. If I use few resolutions to convert then it is able to convert whole content without loosing any.

2024.05.29 09:47 DesperatelyAskReddit Learning unlocked Camera

Like most people in my friendgroup I came to league from other games. Having played no games with a camera not centered on the player before, I chose that option because at the beginning I felt like learning the new movement and game mechanics and champion mechanics was already hard enough. Over time I forced some of my habits to change I bound Flash to f instead of d and enabled quickcast and adapted to the change over around 5-10 games. When it comes to camera movement it has been harder. I learned to kite on Lillia and I am good with her mechanically (from what I feel like) but it’s harder to do it when your camera is unlocked obviously. Do you have any tips for how to adapt to the change and when to unlock camera and when to focus it on my player. I also saw that people have a key which follows their player with an arrow pointing at it. I have no f row so I would like binding recommendations as well as how to force myself out of the comfort zone of using locked camera in that regard. (English not first language) Sincerely… me. :3

2024.05.29 09:36 StlnHppyHrz Buyer Beware Regarding Island Nut Hobbies

I don't want to intend to besmirch a company that I once had good things to say about, but I will tell you this; I ordered a Losi Baja Rey 2.0 from them, along with an ECT-to-banana adapter. The car showed up today with the plastic ties already cut and the car appeared to be 'thrown in' to a clearly-used and re-taped box, along with my EC5 adapter just thrown in to said box. No invoice. Just seemingly a thrown together bunch of shit they could pass off as 'new'. The truck looks okay, but I don't think I feel right about any of this. Maybe this is normal, but I wouldn't advise doing business with them when you pay them over $500.00, only for these tw*ts to throw shit in a box and call it 'new'. F*** this store going forward. Once was good, twice was not. F**k 'em.

🔗Leupold Gold Ring 12-40x60mm HD Folded Light Path Spotting Scope

https://preview.redd.it/iee4x2ktfb3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1649cbf559aefe7a6c6e9b474676447c009f0db
I recently got my hands on the Leupold Gold Ring 12-40x60mm HD Spotting Scope, and I must say it's a game-changer! This little powerhouse boasts an Extra Low Dispersion Optical System, which maximizes color fidelity and contrast. It provides an incredible image across a wide field of view, all with best-in-class eye relief for easy viewing with or without eyeglasses.
One feature that really stood out for me was the Folded Light Path (FLP) system. Instead of using prisms, this system employs mirrors to compress a long optical path into half its length, making the scope incredibly compact and portable.
Another highlight is its magnesium housing. This lightweight material packs a serious punch when it comes to durability, making it ideal for rough outdoor conditions. And don't even get me started on the 100% waterproof and fog proof capabilities - this thing can brave any weather!
However, one issue I encountered was with the focus knob. It's extremely stiff and doesn't change smoothly as you adjust the magnification. It took me quite a few tries to get used to it. Additionally, there's no diopter adjustment, but the good eye relief somewhat compensates for that.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I've been thoroughly impressed by the Leupold Gold Ring HD Spotting Scope. Its top-notch optical performance combined with its rugged construction makes it a strong contender in the realm of spotting scopes. If you're in the market for one, this could be an excellent investment.

I've recently had the chance to try out the TruGlo 4x32 Rangefinding/Trajectory Compensating Crossbow Scope, a nifty piece of equipment for enthusiastic crossbow users like me. The scope's main highlight was its ability to find the range and calculate the correct trajectory for my crossbow bolts. In my experience, this feature proved to be quite handy in my local archery range, particularly for those days when the wind and temperature were unstable.
One of the things that stood out to me was the scope's robustness. It was designed to handle the harsh conditions of the outdoors, as evidenced by the sturdy aluminum body and the shock-resistant construction. This scope also offered a generous 4-inch eye relief, a feature that helped protect my eyes during those blustery hunting sessions.
The scope's lenses were fully-coated, making them highly resistant to glare, a common concern for crossbow users shooting in low-light conditions. Additionally, the durable leavespring for windage and elevation adjustments were a welcomed bonus, allowing me to finetune my shots with ease.
On the downside, one of the screws on the scope rings was stripped, a minor issue that wasn't a deal-breaker. I also discovered that the scope wasn't rated specifically for a particular crossbow speed. To achieve optimal accuracy, I had to adjust the scope manually, which was a bit tricky and time-consuming.
Regardless of these minor downsides, the TruGlo 4x32 Rangefinding/Trajectory Compensating Crossbow Scope proved to be an essential piece of equipment in my hunting arsenal. Its ease of use, durable construction, and helpful features make it an excellent choice for anyone seeking to upgrade their crossbow hunting experience.

In my pursuit of a new spotting scope that could enhance my wildlife viewing and target shooting experiences, I stumbled upon the SVBONY SV28 Spotting Scopes. From the moment I opened the package, I was impressed by its sleek exterior and sturdy construction.
One feature that stood out to me was its range of magnification capabilities - the SV28 allowed me to adjust the magnification according to my target distance, providing crystal clear image quality. The lens was exceptionally sharp, making it perfect for both target shooting and observing nature. Another aspect I appreciated was the ease of focus adjustment, ensuring that every detail was visible no matter the distance.
However, I have to say that the tripod that came with the unit seemed a bit lackluster compared to my usual tripod. I ended up using my own sturdier tripod, but it was still nice to have the option included in the package. Additionally, while the phone adapter was a nice addition, I felt it could have been more user-friendly.
Overall, the SVBONY SV28 Spotting Scopes exceeded my expectations, offering outstanding clarity and exceptional value for its price. Though there were a few minor quibbles, I would definitely recommend it to others in search of a reliable, affordable spotting scope for their outdoor adventures.

Recently, I had the chance to try out the Leupold GR 20-60x80mm Shadow Gray spotting scope, and let me tell you, it was quite a sight to behold. Whether you're on the hunt for distance or just looking for that perfect view, this scope delivers.
One of the standout features for me was its exceptional magnification. With a range of 20-60x, I could really zoom in on some far off details and still maintain a clear, crisp image. Plus, the folded light path system made it all the more impressive - just look at that compact design!
However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. A couple times, I found myself struggling with some of the finer adjustments - but that might just be because my hands aren't as steady as they used to be.
And of course, I appreciate the durable construction. With its waterproof, fog-resistant, and shock-proof build, you can trust that this scope will hold up no matter what kind of weather or conditions it faces.
There's just so much to love about this scope - from the impeccable clarity to the user-friendly controls. If you're in the market for a spotting scope, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.

During a recent trip to the mountains, I had the chance to put Leupold's Gold Ring 12-40x60mm HD Spotting Scope to the test. While the gray housing looked sleek, it was the scope's impressive durability that truly stood out. I had read that Leupold had implemented a proprietary nitrogen fill process to ensure a 100% waterproof and fog-proof performance. I eagerly put the scope to the test, by inadvertently dipping it into a small stream. To my delight, it continued to function flawlessly, proving the effectiveness of this innovative feature.
A few days later, I took the scope to a nearby wildlife preserve to spot endangered birds in their natural habitat. The scope's impressive magnification was an absolute game-changer. It allowed me to observe the delicate intricacies of these fascinating creatures, from the texture of their feathers to their unique flight patterns. The extra low dispersion optical system played a pivotal role in delivering stunningly vivid and bright colors, contributing to an overall remarkable viewing experience.
The tripod-ready feature also proved to be quite practical in my adventure, as it enabled me to easily stabilize the scope for extended periods of time, even under challenging conditions. The prism-less folding light path, which uses mirrors to compress the long optical system, was another standout feature. It significantly reduced the scope's weight and made it more compact, making it convenient to carry anywhere.
Although the price of this Gold Ring scope is significantly higher than most other brands, it's worth every penny. Its remarkable performance ensures that it remains a valuable addition to my gear, even amidst the vast competition in the market. With a plethora of customizable settings, the scope serves as an unparalleled guide for spotting and tracking game, be it for hunting or observational purposes. While the Leupold 20x60x80 Gold Ring might seem expensive, the extraordinary visual performance it delivers makes it truly worth the investment.

I've been using this Bushnell T spotting scope in my outdoor activities, and it's been quite the experience. The Mil-Hash reticle works seamlessly with the Mil-Base riflescope reticle, making zeroing a breeze. The scope has a heavy-duty, militaristic feel with a rubberized coating. The Picatinny rail mounts are a nice touch, and they're also compatible with a red dot sight for added accuracy.
The optical clarity is what one can expect at this price point, but it does the job well enough. The lens caps make it a breeze to protect the glass from dust, debris, and other environmental conditions. The only issue I had with the front lens cap is the lack of a lanyard attachment, making it easily misplaced.
The case, on the other hand, left me concerned about Bushnell's overall quality. The Velcro stitching on the lens flap failed on the first day, and the scope case seems too small for the scope. The magnification setting ring could use some improvement as well, but overall, it's an acceptable addition.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the scope has proven to be durable and holds up well under rough outdoor conditions. Its compact design and easy-to-handle eyepiece make it a top choice for avid spotters. With a solid construction, good image quality, and an attractive price point, this Bushnell T series spotting scope is worth considering for your next outdoor adventure.

In the world of optics, the Athlon Optics Ares G2 UHD 20-60x85 Straight Spotting Scope has made a name for itself. It's not just for the birders spotting variances in plumage from far away or for the precision shooters who aim for targets at 1,000 yards, the scope's extra-low dispersion glass provides vivid clarity and resolution in a full-size spotting scope.
Athlon has cleverly designed it to be lightweight although strong, making it comfortable to carry and use for long periods. The aluminum alloy chassis adds to its strength without making it too heavy. With its twist-up eye-cup, it allows you to set the eyecup to the perfect eye relief for your eyes, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience.
Its ESP Dielectric Coating gives you an advantage in viewing with an image that has little or no chromatic fringe for the clearest and sharpest image. The UHD Glass in the lens helps in converging refracting colors into one focus point, producing greater contrast, sharpness, and color definition.
Reflecting over 99% of the light to your eyes, the scope brings you a clear, bright image and accurate color reproduction, thanks to the BaK4 Prisms coupled with advanced fully multi-coated lenses. It produces perfect brightness and color across the entire light spectrum, making viewing under different lighting conditions a breeze.
And when it comes to durability, the scope doesn't disappoint. It comes with an extra protective layer coating that keeps the exterior of the lens free from dirt and scratches. It's also Argon Purged and Waterproof, ensuring weatherproof performance even in harsh conditions. Purging allows for better waterproofing/fogging, making sure your scope doesn't fog up when you switch environments.
Overall, it's a joy to use this spotting scope. It's not just about viewing in high detail but also the ease it offers in using it. You won't be disappointed with its performance and features.

The Athlon Optics Argos HD 20-60x85 spotting scope captured my attention with its high-grade Argon gas and BaK4 Prisms, which deliver a fog-free experience and impressive image clarity. I was particularly impressed with the advanced fully multi-coated lenses that reflect more light, giving me sharper and brighter images. The composite chassis not only provides strength but is also much lighter than I had anticipated.
One feature that stood out in my experience was the twist-up eye-cup, allowing me to easily adjust the eye relief to suit my own comfort. In addition, the argon purged and waterproof design provided an added layer of protection during my outdoor adventures.
While I was largely satisfied with this spotting scope, I did encounter a couple of downsides. Occasionally, the image seemed slightly blurry when zoomed in at max power, though this was less of an issue overall. Additionally, some users reported difficulties with perfect focus, a challenge I experienced myself but found manageable with some adjustment.
Overall, I believe the Athlon Optics Argos HD spotting scope offers a solid balance of performance and affordability, making it a worthwhile choice for outdoor enthusiasts seeking quality optics without breaking the bank.

As someone who spends a lot of time birdwatching, I was eager to try out the Celestron TrailSeeker 65 spotting scope. With its 45-degree eyepiece, it offered a great balance between magnification and field of view, making it perfect for observing birds in their natural habitat.
One of the standout features of this spotting scope is its fully multi-coated XLT optics, which deliver crisp, high contrast images. It made a huge difference in the clarity and sharpness of the images I was able to see through the scope. The dual focus mechanism was also a game-changer, allowing me to quickly home in on my subject before finely tuning the image.
However, there were a few drawbacks I noticed while using the TrailSeeker 65. The scope's waterproofing seemed to slightly impact the clarity of the image, causing some distortion around the edges. Additionally, the tripod adaptability could have been improved, as I found it quite challenging to adjust the scope on uneven terrain.
Overall, the Celestron TrailSeeker 65 spotting scope was a great investment for someone looking for a solid, easy-to-carry scope that delivers great performance. While it may not be perfect for everyone, I certainly recommend it to those in search of a top-notch birdwatching tool.

The Celestron TrailSeeker 80 spotting scope has been my go-to tool for spotting birds and capturing stunning images of nature. Its 80mm objective lens allows plenty of light to reach the prism and fully multi-coated XLT optics ensure crisp, high contrast images. The 45-degree eyepiece provides a wider field of view, perfect for bird watching and landscape photography.

The TrailSeeker 80 is also a breeze to carry around, thanks to its compact size and lightweight construction. I love that it has an objective lens diameter of 80mm, which lets in plenty of light while keeping the overall size of the scope to a minimum.
Of course, no product is perfect and I did notice a couple of minor drawbacks. The focus ring is slightly off-center, which is something I wish Celestron could have addressed. Additionally, the protective nylon case isn't the most sophisticated, but it does the job.
Overall, the Celestron TrailSeeker 80 spotting scope has exceeded my expectations. Its performance and ease of use make it a must-have for both amateur and professional bird watchers and nature photographers.

The smooth functioning altazimuth mount makes pointing to objects a breeze, and the preassembled aluminum full-size photographic tripod adds to the convenience of setting up the scope quickly.

The Twilight Max Light Management System also proved to be a game-changer, as it helped me see more in less light while reducing glare. Whether I was at the range or heading out for a big game hunt, the SX-2 Alpine HD made my experience all the more enjoyable.
However, there were a couple of downsides I encountered. The end caps for the eyepiece and end lens cap were a bit of a hassle, as they tended to come off rather easily. I would have appreciated some sort of protective cover for these delicate parts. Additionally, the scope is a bit on the heavy side, which can be a drawback for those planning to take it on extended backpacking trips.

Buyer's Guide

When it comes to choosing the right 45-70 scope, there are several factors to consider. This buyer's guide will provide you with the necessary information to make an informed decision.

Scope Magnification

The magnification of a scope is a vital factor that affects its performance. For 45-70 scopes, you'll want to consider a magnification range of at least 3-9x. This will provide a suitable range for most hunting scenarios while maintaining a decent field of view.

https://preview.redd.it/znf92tkzfb3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4548a4aebf7a098801b20223f4f5b6875a075c47

Objective Lens Size

A larger objective lens size will allow more light to enter the scope, improving its low-light performance. For 45-70 scopes, consider a minimum objective lens size of 44mm. However, also keep in mind that a larger lens might add additional weight to the scope.

Reticle Style

Different reticle styles are designed for various shooting scenarios. Consider factors like the terrain where you'll be hunting and your shooting distance when choosing a reticle style. MOA and MRAD reticles are popular choices for 45-70 scopes.

Durability and Waterproofing

A good 45-70 scope should be durable and able to withstand harsh outdoor conditions. Ensure the scope is waterproof and fog-proof for optimal performance in various environments.

https://preview.redd.it/6kkl6bszfb3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ffd0444f3e996e2f935c4d254c08e7d1f3d5489b

Eye Relief and Focus

Eye relief and focus ensure a comfortable shooting experience. Adequate eye relief reduces the chances of accidental scope strikes, while a focus adjustment makes it easy to correct for any vision issues.

Battery Life and Controls

For scopes with illuminated reticles, battery life is an essential factor. A scope with a longer battery life will minimize the need for frequent battery replacements. Additionally, well-designed controls make it easy to adjust brightness levels.

Size and Weight

The size and weight of a 45-70 scope should be considered, especially when planning to carry it for an extended period. Look for a balance between size, weight, and functionality.

https://preview.redd.it/fs3j3s50gb3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9dce2f17a9929ff638871e2e770d42b29bd7329c

Brand Reputation and Warranty

Choose a scope from a reputable brand known for its excellent products and customer service. Additionally, a good warranty ensures you're covered in case of any manufacturing defects or issues.

Budget

Always set a budget for your 45-70 scope. This will help narrow down your options and ensure you're not overspending on unnecessary features.

🔗Leupold Gold Ring 12-40x60mm HD Folded Light Path Spotting Scope

https://preview.redd.it/9jmcjuyfbb3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77f14071355ee78b84b48327c48d46c5289a06bf

As an amateur astronomer, I recently gave the Tuword Telescope Pro 400/70 FMC a try to explore the stars and the moon. Its 70mm aperture and large field of view made it a perfect telescope for me. The fully coated optical glass lens provided clear and bright imaging. One of the best features was the fine adjustment lever, which allowed me to effortlessly adjust the viewing position.
The telescope felt sturdy and well-built, made of premium materials. The included smartphone adapter made it convenient to capture stunning images of celestial objects. The star finder quickly located objects and the 45° orthogonal prism displayed the ortho-rectified true color image comfortably.
I also appreciated the adjustable aluminum tripod, which was easy to set up and provided a stable platform for viewing. The travel bag made the telescope portable and easy to store.
Overall, the Tuword Telescope Pro 400/70 FMC is a great telescope for both adults and kids who want to delve into the wonders of the night sky.

🔗Versatile Digital Telescope with HD 70X Magnification and Wireless Monocular Support

I recently tried out the 70x WiFi Digital Telescope, and let me tell you, it had its fair share of pros and cons. The most noticeable aspect was the 70X manual focus, providing a crisp and clear view of distant objects. The 2MP camera was another standout feature, capturing detailed images and videos seamlessly.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The 50-meter wireless distance limit felt a bit restrictive at times, especially when trying to observe objects from afar. Additionally, the battery life, although decent, could have been longer for extended use.
Overall, the 70x WiFi Digital Telescope was a solid choice for anyone looking to capture and view distant objects, but it could be improved with a few minor tweaks.

The Celestron 21035 70mm Travel Scope is the perfect companion for those who love the night sky and want to explore it without breaking the bank. As an experienced astronomer, I've had my fair share of scopes, and I must say, this one exceeded all my expectations.
The scope's all coated glass optical elements allow for clear, crisp images that make it a delight to observe the backyard birds or the vast expanse of the night sky. The smooth functioning altazimuth mount makes pointing to objects a breeze, and the preassembled aluminum full-size photographic tripod adds to the convenience of setting up the scope quickly.
However, the 20mm eyepiece does have a narrower field of view, which may be a downside for some, but the scope's overall performance more than compensates for it. The tripod may be flimsy for some, but its lightweight design is perfect for travel and outdoor activities.
In conclusion, the Celestron Travel Scope 70 is a fantastic choice for those who want an affordable, portable, and high-quality telescope that offers excellent views by day and amazing performance under the stars. The scope's range allowed me to observe game animals at a distance of 1000 yards with ease, and I could even discern bullet holes on white paper at 600 yards.
Despite its high-quality image and durability, I did notice a few minor issues. The scope did not come with a protective case, which I found to be a letdown considering its price point. However, the lack of a case was more than compensated by the scope's advanced features and performance.

As a beginner, I found using the National Geographic 70mm Refracting Telescope to be an exciting and enlightening experience. The first time I looked through the lens, I was immediately drawn to the vast expanse of stars and the intricate constellations that illuminate the night sky. The rich field of view provided by the telescope made it easy for me to locate prominent celestial bodies, such as the moon and bright stars.
One feature that stood out to me was the tripod's adjustable height. This allowed me to find a comfortable position and maintain a clear and stable view of the night sky. Additionally, the telescope's compact design and included carrying case made it easy to transport and store when not in use.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks to using this telescope. For one, the telescope seemed a bit flimsy in construction, which caused some difficulty in keeping it steady and focused. Additionally, some of the components, such as the eyepieces, seemed slightly low in quality, making the overall experience less enjoyable.
In conclusion, the National Geographic 70mm Refracting Telescope was a good choice for a beginner astronomer like myself. Its ease of use, adjustable tripod, and rich field of view offered a fun and educational experience. However, some drawbacks, such as its flimsy construction and lower quality components, may limit its appeal for more experienced stargazers.

Taking the Celestron Travel Scope 70 DX on a stargazing adventure was a delight. It came with a potent 70mm objective lens, providing a bright, enhanced view of celestial objects. The fully-coated glass optics ensured high-quality images, and the lightweight frame made it convenient to carry around. However, the included tripod was underwhelming in terms of stability, and the carrying case could have been better designed for secure storage.
One of the standout features was the erect image diagonal, which had a 45-degree 1.25-inch eyepiece. This allowed for correct orientation and a more comfortable viewing experience. The refractor's aluminum optical tube offered a balance between weight, durability, and aesthetics. The telescope was easy to set up, thanks to the preassembled aluminum full-size photographic tripod.
It was a joy to use the two high-quality eyepieces (20mm and 10mm), providing low- and high-power views with ease. However, the tripod's stability issue was a drawback, especially when observing celestial objects with the naked eye. The provided moon filter and 2x barlow lens were valuable accessories, while the smartphone adapter and Bluetooth shutter release added versatility.
Despite the tripod's limitations and the need for an improved carrying case, the Celestron Travel Scope 70 DX delivered a satisfying stargazing experience. Its portability, powerful eyepieces, and lightweight frame made for a delightful adventure. While there may be areas for improvement, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I would recommend it for those seeking a portable telescope for stargazing and terrestrial viewing.

Buyer's Guide

Whether you're a seasoned hunter or just starting to explore the world of firearms, a good scope is an essential piece of equipment. When it comes to rifle scopes, the 45-70 series offers a versatile option for many shooting scenarios. Let's dive into the world of 45-70 scopes and discuss what factors to consider when purchasing one.

Magnum Capabilities

https://preview.redd.it/k24v1gdnbb3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e8a7a55a766e519e12e59dbada089c124541a6e
The term "magnum" is often associated with powerful rifles and ammunition, allowing for increased range and accuracy. However, with a 45-70 scope, you're getting more than just a powerful sight. Magnum scopes are designed to handle larger calibers, which is crucial for the 45-70 rifle's recoil and muzzle blast.

Field of View (FOV) and Magnification

When selecting a 45-70 Scope, it's essential to consider the Field of View (FOV) at varying distances and the magnification level. A higher magnification factor will provide you with a clearer and enlarged image for better accuracy, but it comes at the cost of a narrower FOV. It's best to strike a balance between clarity and a more natural peripheral view.

Durability and Weather Resistance

Considering the demanding nature of hunting and outdoor activities, durability and weather resistance become key factors when purchasing a 45-70 Scope. Look for features such as fog-proof lenses and a waterproof design to ensure your scope can withstand various weather conditions and remains functional in the field.

https://preview.redd.it/1c34gcrnbb3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9cd40708c2381fd871d7d263c124c6df2ed86a12

Reticle Options

A good 45-70 scope should offer several reticle options to cater to different shooting scenarios. Some common reticles include the duplex, mil-dot, or crosshair. Consider your intended use of the scope and choose a reticle that suits your needs best.

Price Considerations

While price is a factor to consider when purchasing any product, it's crucial to strike a balance between cost and the quality of the scope. Opt for a mid-range price point that will provide you with the necessary features and performance without compromising on safety or accuracy.

Brand and Reputation

https://preview.redd.it/5kbxb16obb3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9b6592813289e5a619d554c1e8694cd9231c85c
Research and choose a reputable brand with a history of producing high-quality rifle scopes. Brand reputation is an essential aspect to consider, as it indicates the company's dedication to quality, customer satisfaction, and innovation.
Now that you've gained a better understanding of the important elements to consider when purchasing a 45-70 Scope, you're well on your way to making an informed decision. Remember to prioritize quality, durability, and performance, while considering factors such as FOV, mag magnification, reticle options, and brand reputation. Happy hunting!

With an exterior dimension of 30 inches in width, 25 inches in depth, and 55 inches in height, it offers enough space for up to 36 long guns and more. It's built with sturdy 14-gauge steel for added security, and the interior comes in a light gray color that complements the textured black exterior.

🔗Snapsafe Super Titan Modular Gun Safe: Fire-Resistant, Durable, and Easy to Assemble

https://preview.redd.it/sd3njb270b3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2d6ab53a984f81932b98cc96a363712764db7448
I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Snapsafe 75011 Super Titan Modular Gun Safe, and let me tell you, it left quite an impression. This bad boy assembles in minutes without needing any additional tools, thanks to its convenient modular assembly system. The sledgehammer and pry bar-resistant 3/16" solid steel door gives me peace of mind, knowing that my valuables are well protected.
One thing that stood out to me was the 9 gauge steel exterior walls, which provide a sturdy and reliable barrier. And with a UL Listed 1-hour fire rating, my mind is put at ease knowing that my fireproof gun safe can withstand some serious heat.
However, there were a few things that didn't quite live up to my expectations. The lock mechanism felt a bit cheap and had some slop to it, which wasn't exactly reassuring. Additionally, the bolts used for assembly were not the strongest, and a couple of them actually sheared during the process. It's worth mentioning that some users have also reported gaps between the side and front panels, which could potentially compromise the overall functionality of the safe.
All in all, the Snapsafe 75011 Super Titan Modular Gun Safe has its moments, but it's not flawless. If you're in the market for a fireproof gun safe with some extra features and the convenience of a modular design, this might be the one for you. Just be prepared for some minor hiccups along the way.

During my search for a reliable gun safe, I stumbled upon the Sports Afield Preserve Series SA5940. With a capacity of up to 40 long guns and 8 handguns, this safe seemed ideal for storing and securing my collection.
One of the standout features of this safe is its fully programmable electric lock, which includes two backup keys in case of an emergency. The convenient Easy Touch keypad makes access easy, and the lock provides peace of mind when storing valuable items.
Another impressive feature is the fully carpeted interior, sidewalls, shelves, and barrel rests. This not only enhances the appearance of the safe but also protects against scratches, ensuring that my firearms remain in pristine condition.
The safe arrived with a UL approved power outlet and four pre-cut anchor holes with a bolt down kit and waterproof washers, making the installation process hassle-free.
One of the cons I discovered is that the package arrived with a small dent in the door. Although this didn't impact the safety or functionality of the safe itself, it was a minor inconvenience. Additionally, the delivery process was slightly more expensive than I had anticipated, with delivery agents dropping the safe off at my residence.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Sports Afield Preserve Series SA5940 has proven to be a reliable and sturdy safety deposit for my valuable firearms, worth every penny.

The Mesa MBF7236C Gun & Rifle Safe has been my reliable partner in keeping my valuable gun collection and prized possessions secure. This safe has surpassed my expectations in terms of functionality and build quality.
One of the standout features of this safe is its electronic lock with a digital keypad. It's user-friendly and secure, allowing me to easily access my safe without any fuss. The three-user electronic lock system ensures that only authorized individuals can gain access to it.
In terms of build quality, the safe's construction is impressive, boasting an all-steel exterior. It's quite spacious, with a capacity of 42 rifles, and the interior is well designed, providing ample space for storing guns, documents, and other valuables. The safe's structure is solid and sturdy, offering robust protection against burglary and fires.
While I love the safe's build quality and functionalities, there have been a few minor drawbacks. The combination lock sometimes feels a bit flimsy, and the power cord can protrude quite a bit, making it a bit of an inconvenience. However, these issues are relatively minor and do not detract from the safe's overall performance.
In conclusion, the Mesa MBF7236C Gun & Rifle Safe has proven to be a reliable and practical solution for storing my precious firearms and valuables. Despite a few minor inconsistencies, the safe has surpassed my expectations and provided me with the peace of mind I was looking for. I highly recommend this safe to anyone in need of reliable and secure storage for their firearms and valuables.

My personal experience with the Liberty Safe was a game-changer. Not long ago, I moved into a new home, just like many others do, and I wanted to ensure the security of my valuables - especially my firearms. I came across this majestic black safe, and let me tell you, it not only looked the part, but it performed even better.
The solid and sturdy construction was quite impressive, and the electronic lock provided the much-needed peace of mind. The safe was spacious enough to house my 36 guns and other essential documents, without needing to compromise on the fireproof rating which was a massive 40 minutes at 1200 degrees F.
What's more, the safe was delivered to my doorstep by the team from Nebraska Furniture Mart, who were as professional as they were gentle with the furniture. The only slight inconvenience was dealing with the heavyweight, but the NFM team managed it seamlessly.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Liberty USA 36 Gun Safe, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. The first thing that caught my eye was its size - it's not too big or too small, just the perfect fit for a growing collection of firearms. The interior is designed with flexibility in mind, with a 3-in-1 flex interior, so you can easily customize the layout to suit your needs.
One of the key features that stood out to me was the safety aspect. This safe boasts 60 minutes of certified fire protection at 1200°, which provides a level of security that's hard to find in other safes at this price point. With a level 2 security rating, my valuables felt well protected.
However, there were a few aspects that didn't quite meet my expectations. For starters, the door only opens up to about 90 degrees, which was a bit of a pain when trying to access the safe in a tight space. Additionally, if you have scoped hunting rifles or double-barrel shotguns, you might run into some difficulties fitting them into the available slots due to the door's design.
Despite these minor setbacks, I was overall very impressed with the Liberty USA 36 Gun Safe. Its combination of features, safety, and affordability make it an appealing choice for first-time safe buyers. And let's not forget the fantastic customer service I received from the Liberty team - they went above and beyond to ensure a smooth buying experience. So, if you're in the market for a reliable and feature-rich gun safe without breaking the bank, this might just be the one for you.

With its sleek modular design, the Snapsafe Super Titan XL Double Door Modular Gun Safe quickly stood out in my home. As someone who constantly moves between temporary living situations, this safe's easy assembly without the need for additional tools proved to be a game-changer.
The 3/16-inch solid-steel door provided the security I desired, and the 2300°F one-hour fire shield protection was a major highlight. However, the safe's 36-long gun storage capacity felt a bit limited for my needs, and the instructions could have been more detailed.
Overall, I found the Snapsafe Super Titan XL Double Door to be a fantastic investment for any firearm enthusiast, despite a few minor drawbacks.

The coated "S" shaped shelf pistol hangers allow me to store my pistols with ease, making it a functional and neat storage solution.
Although the outer dimensions fit my requirements, moving the 653-pound beast has been a challenge. However, the durable construction and the steel bolt size of 1.5 inches provide the strong and secure protection I desired.

I've been using the Remington Gun Club 36 Plus Gun Safe for quite some time now, and I must say it's lived up to its reputation of offering consistent, secure, and feature-filled protection for my collection. The fireproof and waterproof capabilities are a lifesaver, as I've always been worried about those catastrophes. The programmable electronic lock gives me peace of mind, knowing that my collection is safely locked away.
As for the interior, the full carpeting and quilted door organizer make it feel like a VIP treatment for my guns. The only drawback I've noticed is slightly limited storage capacity for a truly extensive collection, but other than that minor inconvenience, I'm absolutely pleased with its performance.

🔗Secure 36-Gun Safe with Customizable Storage and Fire Protection

Picture this: after a long day of hunting, you come back home, weary and proud, with your latest catch. You open the door to your den, and there it stands - the Remington Nitro 36-Gun Safe, your trusty companion, ready to protect your prized possessions. It's a sight that fills you with a sense of security, knowing that your guns and valuables are safe from any perils.
The first thing that strikes you is the sheer size of the safe, but don't let that intimidate you. The 11-gauge Uni-Weld steel body is not just impressive; it's also heavy-duty, providing the much-needed strength to safeguard your precious belongings. And yes, it might be a bit of a workout to move it around, but trust me, the effort is worth it.
Now, let's talk about the lock. The Remington Nitro 36-Gun Safe comes equipped with a backlit SecuRam UL Rated E-Lock with a key backup. It's not just a lock; it's a statement. It gives you peace of mind, knowing that your safe is secure and protected from any unauthorized access. The backlit feature is a thoughtful addition, making it easy to access even in low light conditions.
But that's not all. The safe also boasts of a UL Rated Dual Outlet with 2 USB Ports, keeping your devices powered up and ready for action. And if you're worried about the safe's ability to withstand fire, worry not. It's fire-rated for 90 minutes at 1800 degrees, ensuring your valuables are protected even in the toughest of situations.
And here's the cherry on top - the Remington Nitro 36-Gun Safe is not just fire-resistant; it's also waterproof. It can withstand being submerged in water for up to 7 days in 2 feet of water, making it practically indestructible.
Now, as much as I love this safe, there are a few things that could be improved. The vertical bars that support the shelves are not even, which makes it difficult to level the shelves. And don't get me started on the delivery. It arrived undamaged, but the shipping experience was less than satisfactory.
Despite these minor hiccups, the Remington Nitro 36-Gun Safe is an impressive piece of equipment. It combines style, strength, and security, making it the perfect companion for any avid hunter. However, I did notice a few drawbacks. The safe's dimensions were larger than I initially anticipated, which meant it required more space than I had originally planned for. Additionally, while the warranty period is satisfactory, I would have preferred a longer one given the price point. On the inside, you'll find an internal volume of 15.75 cubic feet, providing ample space for our treasured possessions. Weighing a hefty 560 lbs, this long gun safe is not one you'd want to move around often.
One of the most impressive features of this safe is its Triple Seal fire and water protection, combined with a full-seam Uni-Weld body. This provides an additional layer of safety, ensuring our valuables remain dry and protected even in the event of a flood or fire.

Additionally, I found that the optional combination lock didn't quite live up to its promises, making it a bit of a pain to operate.

Buyer's Guide

36-Gun safes are an essential purchase for anyone looking for a secure way to store their firearms. These safes come with various features and designs to fit your specific needs, ensuring that your firearms are safely stored and protected. In this guide, we will discuss the critical features to consider when buying a 36-Gun safe.

https://preview.redd.it/0qcwrxed0b3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b4e817121cb68d0dce535d185b1c02142e93aaba

Capacity and Size

The primary reason for buying a 36-Gun safe is its capacity for storing multiple firearms. When shopping for a safe, make sure it can comfortably accommodate the number of guns you own. Consider the overall size as well, ensuring that it fits well in your designated storage area and can be easily accessed when needed. Some safes may have the option to expand or contract, depending on your future needs, so choose a model that offers flexibility.

Security Features

A 36-Gun safe should have robust security features to protect your valuable firearms. Look for models with heavy-duty construction, solid materials, and durable hardware. Locking mechanisms, such as electronic keypads, combination dials, or keyed locks, should offer high security. Some safes may also have additional features, like drill resistance or anchor points, which can help deter potential thieves. Consult local and state laws to ensure that the safe meets the specified legal requirements for firearms storage.

Interior Design

The interior design of a 36-Gun safe is crucial for organizing your firearms. Different shelves, compartments, and racks can help keep your firearms in optimal condition, prevent scratches, and make retrieval easy. Shelves that slide out or adjustable positions are ideal, as they allow you to customize the storage space according to your needs. Built-in LED lighting can also enhance visibility and accessibility within the safe.

Additional Conveniences

While security and capacity are the primary concerns when buying a 36-Gun safe, some additional features can improve your overall experience. These might include silent door closing, built-in dehumidifiers to protect against corrosion, or quick-access compartments for frequently used items. Consider your own preferences and habits when deciding which optional features to look for.

A 36-Gun safe is a significant investment, so it's essential to ensure that it is installed correctly and properly maintained. Always follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines to avoid any damage to the safe or the floor. Maintenance should include regular cleaning, checking for corrosion, and confirming that the locking mechanism functions properly. Keeping the safe in a dry environment can also help prolong its lifespan.

Choosing the Right 36-Gun Safe for You

36-Gun safes come in various designs and styles, so choose one that fits your specific requirements and preferences. Consider the size, security features, interior design, additional features, and ease of installation and maintenance before making a purchase.

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix Speedring Crossbow Scope: Improved Targeting for Hunting

https://preview.redd.it/0n4smv75va3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=beeef9bca6af8069bd07d148d78210f3743580c0
Using the Killer Instinct MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope has been quite an experience. The scope has made hunting much more enjoyable for me, thanks to its amazing abilities to lock onto and track moving targets from vast distances.
One of the features that really stood out is the durability of the metal case. This thing has a real tank-like feel to it, resisting impacts and harsh weather as if it was made for it. The spring-loaded covers on the lenses also proved to be quite reliable, keeping the lenses safe and scratchless until I was ready to hunt.
The built-in Speed Ring is another aspect of the scope that has impressed me. Making adjustments for my crossbow's speed has been a breeze, and the illuminated reticle is a big help when it comes to sighting in low-light conditions. I particularly appreciate the contrast the red/blue illumination provides.
However, there was one downside that I found a little disturbing. The scope came in a condition that made it apparent that someone had used it before. I was not happy with this fact, especially considering I had paid for a brand new product.
Overall, the MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope is a product that I would recommend, even with its minor fault. It certainly helped me become a better hunter, and it would do the same for anyone looking to enhance their hunting experience.

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Black Ir-E Crossbow Scope with LED Illumination

https://preview.redd.it/7gjnq7m5va3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3cd8383ab785a9e02a16011bdaacddb4f716a4c7
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. This black 1021 model was a great addition to my hunting gear, providing exceptional clarity thanks to its multicoated optics and 1-inch mono tube construction. The fast focus eyepiece is a game-changer, allowing me to quickly adjust my sight even when on the move.
One feature that stood out was the illuminated cross-hair reticle, which came in both blue and red. It was perfect for low-light situations, making it easier for me to spot my target. I appreciated the adjustment click value of 0.5 inches at 100 yards, as it gave me accurate and consistent shot adjustments.
However, there were a few downsides to this otherwise great scope. The exit pupil was smaller than I would have liked, making it a bit more challenging to see the cross-hair reticle at times. Additionally, the scope's weight was lighter than expected, which might not have been ideal for everyone.
Overall, I'm happy with my experience using the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. It's a quality product with some small drawbacks, but its pros certainly outweigh the cons. If you're in the market for a reliable crossbow scope, this one is definitely worth considering.

🔗Compact Variable Multi-Reticle Crossbow Scope for 300-410 fps Shooting

https://preview.redd.it/hza39b06va3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0335c578ba2185d68eb01015efbaa266bd1dd0c0
As a reviewer who's been using the Dead-Zone Scope from Excalibur, I can confidently say it's a game-changer for crossbow enthusiasts. This 32mm, 1" tube scope offers unparalleled light transmission and clarity that makes it an ideal choice for those who prefer the thrill of hunting. Its variable multi-reticle design suits crossbows shooting in the 300-410 fps range, providing a perfect fit even for experienced hunters.
One of my favorite features is the bold crosshairs, which make it easy to sight in, even for us who don't have the sharpest eyesight. The scope provides a crystal-clear view, which has been essential in my hunting endeavors, hitting the bullseye consistently at 60 yards. Installation was a breeze, and the ease of adjusting the focus makes it a standout product.
However, one thing that could be improved is the set screw. After a little mishap with the speed ring, it's proven to be a bit tricky to tighten back up. Apart from that, I wholeheartedly recommend this Dead-Zone Scope to anyone looking for an accurate and reliable companion on their hunting adventures.

🔗Powerful Dual-Speed Digiscoping Scope with Extra Low Dispersion Lens

https://preview.redd.it/1jm12ld6va3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97ff0b840b4fb3f03c5aaeaae405f10c2af3e157
Recently, I had the chance to get my hands on the Knight PT 72mm f/6.0 Ed-Apo Photography Scope from Snypex. This digiscoping scope was a game changer for my photography, allowing me to capture stunning images with my DSLR camera.
One of the standout features of this scope was the dual speed focuser. It made it incredibly easy to achieve precise focus, even in low-light conditions. The scope's focal length of 432mm and f-stop of f6.0 provided a beautiful and sharp image, which was especially noticeable when using the optional eyepiece.
Moreover, the scope was built to last, with a durable white paint coating on its aluminum housing. The 1/4"-20 tripod mounts at both ends of the shoe made it easy to balance the weight, and the integrated dovetail plate was a handy addition for quick-release heads.
However, I did encounter a minor issue when trying to attain focus on stars. Despite the scope's apochromatic doublet lens, I found that achieving proper focus was a bit challenging. Additionally, while the price was reasonable at $160, I noticed that it was listed for a much higher price on the product website.
Overall, the Knight PT 72mm f/6.0 Ed-Apo Photography Scope from Snypex is a powerful and versatile tool for photography enthusiasts. With a few minor adjustments, it could become an exceptional choice for both digiscoping and spotting scopes.

🔗UHD Spotting Scope with Apochromatic Lens System and Advanced Fully Multi-Coated Lenses

🔗Athlon Optics Cronus G2 High-Definition Spotting Scope for Compact Rifles

https://preview.redd.it/r4w4s767va3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7ba0f61bce23e051d4e372ef19e845d302dae5b3
As a nature enthusiast, I recently had the chance to try out the Athlon Optics Cronus G2 20-60x86mm UHD Spotting Scope and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Boasting an Apochromatic Lens System and ED glass, I was able to achieve great color definition, clarity, and light transmission even in the trickiest of lighting conditions.
Even in the most challenging settings, such as dimly lit forests or shadowed treelines, the Cronus G2's enhanced contrast allowed me to easily separate my subject from its surroundings. Its versatile magnification ranges from 20x to 60x, offering unparalleled flexibility when scouting for game.
However, I did notice that the scope might be a bit bulky for some beginners, as it weighs around 40 oz. However, its overall performance and the smoothness of its single focus wheel make up for that setback.
In conclusion, the Athlon Optics Cronus G2 20-60x86mm UHD Spotting Scope is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for premium optics at an affordable price. I highly recommend it for hunters, birdwatchers, and nature lovers who desire exceptional clarity and image quality.

🔗Diamondback HD 20-60x85 Spotting Scope - Affordable, Fully Multi-Coated Magnification for Hunting

https://preview.redd.it/qla62yj7va3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=da9b1a00cb154e652d98a2dff983c84f440ddf4c
There's something about using the "Diamondback HD 20-60x85 Spotting Scope" that makes you feel like you're really a part of the action. On my last hunting trip, I couldn't have been more thankful for its portability - it only weighs a pound, so I could pack it with ease. The rubberized outer shell kept everything safe during hikes, and the Armortek lens coating kept the lens clear of dirt and oil.
In the low-light setting, the scope was nothing short of magical. I can't tell you how many times I was able to spot a deer or rabbit way off in the distance, even with the sun barely rising. However, in my experience, the scope seemed to struggle a bit with higher magnifications - sometimes the focus was a bit off, and the object appeared a bit soft.
Still, the "Diamondback HD 20-60x85 Spotting Scope" has become my go-to for all hunting trips and outdoor adventures. Its sleek design and reliable performance make it worth the investment for any serious spotting enthusiast.

🔗High-Range Hunting Spotting Scope with Rubber Coating

In the vast wilderness of western ranges, discerning the precise movements of wildlife demands crystal clear optics. The redesigned Diamondback HD spotting scope meets those demands with unrivaled clarity even in low light conditions, making it the go-to for long-distance hunters.
Designed for those who traverse the rugged terrain of the west, this spotting scope combines advanced technology with durability. The 45° angled viewing allows for effortless observation of the surrounding landscape, while the 16-48x zoom eyepiece provides flexibility for different situations. The large 65mm objective lens captures vast amounts of light for excellent vision in dim conditions.
In our hands-on experience, the scope's high-density, extra low-dispersion glass produced stunning views, with exceptional sharpness and detail. The anti-reflection and ArmorTek lens coatings further enhance the image quality, while the argon-filled body ensures water and fogproof performance.
A minor hiccup came with the rotating tripod collar and 1/4"-20 mount, as it required some finesse to set up properly. However, the neoprene cover tethered objective lens and ocular lens cap, along with the included lens cloth, added a touch of convenience.
Overall, the Diamondback HD spotting scope proves itself to be a reliable and user-friendly option, perfect for those seeking crystal clear vision in the wide open spaces. Its reasonable price point and fantastic features make it a standout performer in the long-range optics market.

I recently got my hands on the Vortex Diamondback 20-60x80 spotting scope, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for my outdoor hobbies. The 20-60x zoom eyepiece is a fantastic feature that provides incredible clarity and detail, especially in low light conditions. One of the things that stood out to me was the single wide focus knob, which is incredibly smooth and easy to adjust. It truly feels like a premium scope, yet it doesn't break the bank.
The Diamondback 20-60x80's exterior lenses are protected by the scratch-resistant ArmorTek coating. This has been invaluable when I've taken the scope on various outings where it might be exposed to dirt or other elements. The fact that the scopes are waterproof and nitrogen-purged is a great bonus as well.
One of the best features of this spotting scope is the fully rotatable mounting bracket. It's incredibly convenient, allowing me to get the perfect position regardless of where I'm set up. The spotting scope is more versatile than I had imagined, and it has proven to be quite a valuable addition to my outdoor gear.
While the product does have a few drawbacks, such as slightly coarser focus control at higher magnifications, overall I am beyond thrilled with my purchase. The Vortex Diamondback 20-60x80 spotting scope has provided me with an exceptional experience, and I couldn't recommend it enough for anyone looking for a great spotting scope at a budget-friendly price.

The multi-coated lenses not only maximized light transmission but also ensured vibrant colors and contrast in my observations. Additionally, the waterproof and fogproof sealing kept my scope protected during occasional rain showers and foggy mornings.
However, there were a few drawbacks that I encountered. The weight of the scope felt a bit heavy, making it challenging to carry it for extended periods. While the included tripod worked reasonably well, I found that it wasn't sturdy enough to support the scope's weight at full magnification. As a result, I had to invest in a more robust tripod, which added to the overall cost.
In conclusion, despite the minor shortcomings, the Barska AD11344 Gladiator Spotting Scope has become an essential tool for my outdoor activities. Its powerful magnification, sharp image quality, and protective features make it a top choice for nature enthusiasts and outdoor sports enthusiasts alike.

Overall, the Barska 6x30 Spyscope provided an excellent viewing experience in a classy and elegant package. Despite its heaviness, it's definitely a worthwhile investment for those who appreciate both functionality and aesthetics.

The Feather Vision Original Claro scope has been a game-changer for me during my outdoor adventures. With so many compatible scopes, it's got a universal fit that's convenient to use. The AR coating really stands out, as it significantly reduces glare, and I appreciate how lightweight this scope is.
It feels so comfortable on my rifle, and the clarity of the image it provides is just exceptional. However, as much as I love the 1X6 scope, the weight reduction might compromise its durability in the long run. Nonetheless, this scope deserves every bit of its top-notch rating.

Buyer's Guide

When it comes to hunting or shooting, accurate aim is essential. 30-06 scopes are designed to provide precise shots at long distances, making them ideal for activities such as big game hunting or target shooting competitions. In this buyer's guide, we'll discuss the important features and considerations when purchasing a 30-06 scope.

Magnification

https://preview.redd.it/7m4c780cva3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=083713805ff1b3cb4d54d2fbc546ccafe7abeba2
One of the main features to consider when buying a 30-06 scope is the level of magnification it offers. Scopes come in various magnification levels, ranging from 3x to 20x or more. The choice depends on the intended use. For hunting large game at long distances, a higher magnification scope would be best, while a lower magnification scope may be more suitable for target shooting.

Objective Lens Size

The size of the objective lens affects the scope's light gathering ability. Bigger objective lenses collect more light, which can improve image quality, especially in low light conditions. However, larger objective lenses also add more weight to the scope. Consider the balance between light gathering ability and weight when choosing a 30-06 scope.

Reticle

The reticle is the crosshair or other markings within the scope's lens. Reticles come in various styles, including simple crosshairs, mil-dot, and ballistic. The choice depends on personal preference and the intended use. For hunting, a mil-dot or ballistic reticle might be more useful for calculating distance and bullet drop, while a simple crosshair may be sufficient for target shooting.

https://preview.redd.it/f8tnehbcva3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c8893a7ecc9c60030ac73f4202a954a6a74f7135

Durability and Weather Resistance

Since 30-06 scopes are often used in outdoor environments, durability and weather resistance are important factors to consider. Look for a scope with a waterproof, fog-proof, and shock-resistant design. These features ensure the scope can handle various weather conditions and accidental impacts without affecting performance.

Mounting and Adjustment

Mounting the scope securely on your firearm is crucial for accuracy. There are different mounting options available, including ring mount, picatinny rail, and cantilever mount. The choice depends on the firearm's design and the scope's weight. Additionally, the scope should have adjustable turrets for easy sight-in and fine tuning.

Other Features to Consider

https://preview.redd.it/dcwndgocva3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=feb2f15dd1bb837a8c5054555616f453ecb949a2
Other features to consider include eye relief, which is the distance from the ocular lens to your eye; parallax adjustment, which helps eliminate parallax error; and the scope's overall build quality and warranty.
When choosing a 30-06 scope, consider the magnification level, objective lens size, reticle style, durability, mounting, and other features such as eye relief and parallax adjustment. Remember to choose a scope that suits your intended use and firearm, ensuring you get the best performance and accuracy possible.

As I was scouring the market for a stylish picatinny sling mount, I stumbled across the Allen Citadel Tactical QD Picatinny to QD Black 10846. I was immediately drawn to its sleek design and time-tested rugged manufacturing. The black aesthetic blended perfectly with my weapon and added an authentic touch to my outfit.
The fast QD design for M Lok handguards was a game-changer for me. It made it incredibly easy to detach and reattach my weapon as needed. The use of the push button QD swivel allowed for a smooth and secure attachment to my weapon, without causing any damage to the sling mount. It was like having a reliable and efficient partner by my side during my outdoor adventures.
However, I did notice that the Allen Citadel Tactical QD Picatinny to QD Black 10846 was a bit bulky, which made it slightly more challenging to store when not in use. While this was not a major issue, it would have been great if the designers had found a way to make it more compact.
Overall, this Allen sling mount proved to be a reliable and functional companion during my adventures. Its black finish complemented the look of my weapon and made it stand out without being too ostentatious. I appreciate the fast QD design as well as the push button QD swivel. Despite the slight inconvenience of its bulkiness, this Allen Citadel Tactical QD Picatinny to QD Black 10846 is well-suited for outdoors enthusiasts and gun lovers alike.

Imagine you're in the heat of the moment, aiming down the sights of your rifle, trying to take out a target from around the corner. This is where the NcSTAR Mount shines. Its 45-degree offset angle allows you to mount your lasers, flashlights, or red dot sights at just the right angle for a clear view down the barrel.
The offset canted design of the mount adds a level of versatility that's not often found in other mounts. It eliminates interference with vertical grips, hand guards, optics, and other accessories, making it perfect for a wide range of uses. Plus, the ergonomic design gives easy access to on/off switches for your accessories, which is a game-changer when you're in the thick of it.
But let's not forget the solid construction. The NcSTAR Mount is made from hard-anodized aluminum, which not only adds strength to the mount but also makes it resistant to corrosion. And the single-slotted thumb nut secures the mount to Weaver Style or Picatinny rails quickly and easily.
The NcSTAR Mount isn't just a device, it's a tool that could give you the edge you need in tense situations. It's a reliable, solid piece of equipment that's easy to use and a pleasure to work with. I had the chance to try out the Granite Tool Design Scope Computer Mount, specifically made for Specialized SWAT Black bikes. When I first received it, I was intrigued by how lightweight this mount was, weighing just 15g. It certainly didn't slow me down during my rides.
One of the unique features of this mount is that it's easy to install at home without needing any specialist tools. Plus, it didn't interfere with the SWAT system, which is a definite plus! However, one downside I noticed was the compatibility - it's only made for Specialized bikes with the SWAT concealed transport tool kit.
Overall, the Granite Tool Design Scope Computer Mount is a good choice for those looking for a lightweight, easy-to-install mount for their computer on their Specialized bike. If you don't fit the compatibility criteria, it might not be worth it for you.

I've been using the Solgw Aluminum M-LOK QD Socket Black for my sling and it has become my go-to accessory. The sleek black finish adds a touch of sophistication, while the lightweight yet strong design ensures that it won't fail me when I need it most.
The positive lock up mechanism allows me to secure it with confidence, even in the roughest terrain. Overall, this socket has proven to be a reliable addition to my daily gear setup.

🔗Explore Scientific Mini Scope Mount for Telescopes

As a stargazing enthusiast, I recently tried the Explore Scientific Finder Scope Base and was astounded by how convenient and reliable it was. It's the perfect addition to any telescope, providing a stable base for mounting the finder scope of your choice.
The highlight of this product, for me, was the ease of installation. It literally took me a few minutes to set it up, thanks to the provided mounting screws. The knurled knobs on the base really make locking the finder into place a breeze.
However, it's not all smooth sailing. One inconvenience was the lack of lock washers in the box which, although not a deal-breaker, would have been a nice addition for added security.
Overall, the Explore Scientific Finder Scope Base was a pleasant surprise in terms of functionality and ease. Despite a minor hiccup, it's a winner in my book for those who enjoy stargazing and want their equipment to be secure and robust.

🔗Reptilia Flat Dark Earth 34mm Mini 14 Scope Mount

This bad boy boasts an anodized finish that adds a touch of durability and style to your setup. The mount is designed for a bore height of 100-155, making it a versatile choice for various rifles.
Using the Reptilia Aus Mount in my daily life has been a breeze. The sleek design fits seamlessly with my Mini 14 setup, and the secure locking mechanism ensures that the scope stays firmly in place. One thing that stood out to me was the anodized finish, which not only looks great but also provides protection against the elements.
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. Firstly, the installation process could have been a bit easier, especially for beginners. And secondly, the price point might be a bit steep for some users.
All in all, if you're looking for a high-quality scope mount with a stylish finish and great durability, the Reptilia Aus Mount is definitely worth considering. Just make sure you're comfortable with the installation process and are willing to invest in a top-tier product.

I've been using the Reptilia ROF-90 for a while now, and let me tell you, it has made a real difference in my shooting experience. This quick detach scope mount fits seamlessly with the Aimpoint Micro footprint and even works perfectly for my 30mm optic. The anodized black finish not only looks sleek but also blends well with my rifle's overall appearance.
It's amazing how much it enhances my accuracy on the range. The only drawback I found was that it felt a bit heavier than some other mounts, but overall, it's a small price to pay for the added stability it provides during my shots.

🔗Quick-Transition 30mm QD Optic Mount

https://preview.redd.it/b645drwima3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c20af691a142c7d8813b03fed58954964447ccfb

This 30mm quick detach scope mount offers a mounting point at 90 degrees, allowing for a swift transition to my AIMPOINT Micro when I need to engage at close range.
It's a versatile piece of gear that's never let me down.

🔗High-Quality 30mm QD Scope Mount with Anodized Finish

https://preview.redd.it/rwvi4lljma3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2aea9d64af5a4ae197e9096efe050b5556d312c4
AUS Mount from Reptilia, for 30mm diameter magnified optics, is a beautifully crafted piece of machinery. This product is the result of a 2-year development program and it truly shows in its design and functionality. The finish, an Anodized Flat Dark Earth, gives it a sleek look that blends well with various M1913 Picatinny rails it can be attached to.
This AUS Mount stands out due to the custom bolt mounting system with an anti-snag, spring-loaded, nitrided steel clamp. The clamp can be tightened using either a 5/32 hex or a flat blade driver for a low-profile, streamline design. The single piece of billet 7075-T6 aluminum, which it is made from, is further enhanced with the MIL-STD Type III Class 2 hard anodize coating.
The AUS Mount is compatible with all of Reptilia's existing 30mm ROF line and will also work with several new ROF products launching soon. Despite its robust build and advanced tech, it is surprisingly lightweight and compatible with different optic configurations.
While there is no denying the AUS Mount's capabilities and aesthetic appeal, users might still find the price a bit steep. Overall, this product is worth the price tag for those who prioritize high precision, durability, and a stylish touch in their magnified optics.

I recently had the chance to try out the Wheeler Scope Mounting Kit Combo, and I must say, it provided a smooth experience while mounting my scope. The highlight feature that stood out for me was the "F. A. T. Wrench Torque Screwdriver" – it allowed me to tighten screws with a precision that I haven't experienced before. The wrench-bit set was easy to use, and the 10 bits provided made it a versatile tool for any mounting setup.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks that I encountered during my experience. The level-level-level didn't quite live up to my expectations. Although it was functional, it could have been more precise, making it easier to achieve a level scope. Additionally, the plastic case for the set was a bit flimsy, which wasn't ideal for storage and transport.
Overall, the Wheeler Scope Mounting Kit Combo proved to be a helpful tool for securing and aligning my scope. While there were a few issues, such as the subpar level and case quality, the positive aspects like the F. A. T. Wrench Torque Screwdriver made it a worthwhile investment.

As a hunter, I often find myself in need of a durable and adaptable scope mount. Recently, I stumbled across the Samson Rapid Precision Mount, a 30mm Qd Scope Mount by Samson Manufacturing Corp. This black beauty grabbed my attention, and I decided to give it a try.
Upon first glance, I was impressed by its sleek design and solid construction. Easily attaching to my rifle, it proved to be a reliable addition to my hunting gear. Its adjustable height was a game-changer, allowing for a clear and accurate view of my targets. However, I did notice a minor issue when adjusting the elevation - it felt slightly sticky.
Despite this minor hiccup, the Samson Rapid Precision Mount exceeded my expectations in terms of durability and flexibility. Its ability to lock securely in place while still being easy to adjust made it a well-rounded contender for any hunting expedition. However, those with tight budgets may find their wallets reluctant to part ways with the premium price tag.
Overall, the Samson Rapid Precision Mount is a top-notch choice for hunters seeking a robust and adjustable 30mm Qd Scope Mount. Despite the minor issue with the adjustment, this versatile mount has proven to be a reliable companion on my hunting adventures.

As a reviewer, I tested the Trijicon Cantilever Mount, Q-Loc, 30mm, Anodized Finish, Black, 1.93" Bore Height AC22051. It impressed me right off the bat with its sleek black anodized finish, which perfectly blended with my riflescope.
This mount is solid and secure, providing a dependable hold even when I took aim under recoil. Yet, it stands out for its quick-release function. With a simple quarter-turn motion, I was able to detach and re-attach it effortlessly.
The Q-Loc feature makes it incredibly convenient for frequent adjustments or storage. The Trijicon Cantilever Mount does have one downside: it's slightly heavier than some of its competitors. But overall, it was a reliable and functional addition to my setup.

I recently tried out this versatile PH Adapter Mount Clip Bracket for my photography needs. The durable and stable rubber holder allowed me to easily switch between different mobile devices, and its size adjustability was quite helpful.
One thing that stood out was the curved groove design, which effectively stabilized my mobile phone while preventing it from getting stuck. The shielding design connected to the tripod helped avoid light leakage, which is a crucial factor in photography.
The wide range of application made it suitable not only for spotting scopes and binoculars but also for field observation and appreciation. The adjustable focus and tightness made it easy to imagine and use in various situations. While the ABS material is solid, it's essential to note that there might be slight errors due to manual measurement and monitors.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others looking for a stable, versatile option for their photography needs.

Size and Weight

When buying a 30mm QD scope mount, you ought to consider the size and weight that will not negatively impact your weapon's balance or the overall functionality of the scope mount. A lightweight yet sturdy mount will not affect your rifle's accuracy or weight distribution, making your experience with the scope mount more comfortable. Make sure you check the specs provided by the manufacturers to ensure the mount is light enough for your liking and still provides the required stability for your scope.

Durability

A 30mm QD scope mount needs to be built with durability in mind. This means that you should look for mounts made of quality materials that will withstand the rigors of outdoor usage, provide consistent accuracy, and have a good level of resistance to wear and tear, giving you value for money. Opt for mounts that are designed with precision engineering and made from materials such as aluminum, steel, or titanium, which offer durability and reliability.

Compatibility

Before purchasing a 30mm QD scope mount, it is crucial to verify that it is compatible with your desired scope, rifle, and turret assembly. Check the manufacturer's specifications or consult with a knowledgeable person to ensure it fits your firearm correctly and securely. This will help prevent scope creep and maintain the scope's zero setting while in use.

Ease of Use

The best 30mm QD scope mount is one that is easy to install, remove, and adjust your scope. Look for mounts with Quick-Detach (QD) mechanisms that enable a swift and simple action without requiring any tools, thus reducing setup time and increasing convenience. This would save you time and effort, especially if you frequently switch between scopes or need to use different weapons.

The price of a 30mm QD scope mount depends on factors such as the materials used, design, brand reputation, and additional features. Set a budget that suits your requirements and preferences, but do not compromise on the quality of the mount. Research various brands and models to compare prices and features, as this will help you make a more informed decision.

Additional Features

Some 30mm QD scope mounts come with additional features and customization options, such as adjustable cant or windage dials, which can further enhance accuracy. Other features, such as anti-glare or fog-resistant coatings, can improve visibility in outdoor conditions. Consider these extra features when selecting your mount to optimize its performance and suitability for your hunting or shooting activities.
By following this buyer's guide and weighing the importance of crucial features for a 30mm QD scope mount, you will have a comprehensive understanding when choosing the perfect mount for your needs. With the right selection, you will enjoy the added convenience and improved accuracy that come with a high-quality scope mount.

FAQ

How do I choose the right 30mm Qd Scope Mount for my needs?

The first step is to consider the type of shooting or hunting you will be doing with your rifle scope. Various 30mm Qd Scope Mounts are designed for different purposes. Mounts designed for tactical shooting usually have sturdy, rugged construction, while those made for long-range shooting often feature adjustable height and tilt. If you plan on using the scope for both purposes, look for a versatile mount with a lot of adjustment options.

What is the main difference between 30mm Qd Scope Mounts and 1-inch scope mounts?

The main difference is the diameter of the scope ring. The 30mm diameter suits larger rifle scopes with larger objectives, which can provide a wider field of view and better light gathering capabilities. On the other hand, a 1-inch scope mount is more suitable for smaller rifle scopes, which are typically preferred for shorter-ranged target shooting or hunting.

What is the difference between "Quick Detach" and "Permanent" 30mm Qd Scope Mounts?

Quick Detach (QD) mounts allow the scope to be easily removed from the rifle, which can be convenient for switching scopes or during transportation. These mounts use a lever or knob to release the scope from the rifle. In contrast, Permanent mounts are designed to be fixed in place and are not meant to be removed without disassembling the scope mount.

What are some features to look for in a high-quality 30mm Qd Scope Mount?

  • Rugged construction: A good scope mount should be able to withstand recoil and outdoor conditions without getting damaged or breaking.
  • Adjustable height and tilt: If you plan on using the scope for long-range shooting, it helps to have adjustable height and tilt features to make sighting in easier and more accurate.
  • Easy-to-use locking mechanisms: The mount should have a secure locking mechanism that allows quick detachment without the need for extra tools.
  • High-quality materials: Look for mounts made from materials such as aircraft-grade aluminum or steel, which can provide strength and durability.

Are there any downsides to using a 30mm Qd Scope Mount?

While there are many benefits to using a 30mm Qd Scope Mount, they can be heavier and bulkier compared to 1-inch scope mounts. This can be an issue for shooters who value portability or need to travel light, as extra weight can affect the overall balance and handling of the rifle. Additionally, high-quality 30mm Qd Scope Mounts can be more expensive than 1-inch scope mounts.

As a gun enthusiast, I always appreciate a good suppressor for my firearms, and the SilencerCo Hybrid 1/2x36 ASR FH 9mm truly stands out. Its compatibility with the ASR mounting system makes it a breeze to install and remove. The patent-pending resonance suppression feature is a game-changer, eliminating that annoying tuning-fork effect that's so common with competing 3-prong flash hiders.
The design of the 3-port muzzle brake effectively reduces that harsh felt recoil and muzzle climb, making my shooting experience more enjoyable. However, I've noticed that the price point may be a bit higher than some other suppressors on the market, which could be a downside for some. My overall experience with the SilencerCo Hybrid 1/2x36 ASR FH 9mm has been positive, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective, easy-to-use suppressor.

As a seasoned shooter, I recently had the chance to try out the Threaded Silencer by LEGRIS. This bad boy was a game-changer for my 22Lr firearm. The first thing I noticed was the impressive quality of the silencer; it felt sturdy and well-built.
The male thread connection on the silencer was a breeze to set up - it didn't require any extra tools or effort. It securely attached to my firearm without any wobbling, ensuring a stable and reliable fit. This made my shooting experience much more enjoyable and worry-free.
One of the standout features of the Threaded Silencer was its versatility. It could withstand temperatures ranging from -4°F to a scorching 300°F. This made it a reliable option for various shooting environments and conditions. Its ability to handle such a wide temperature range set it apart from other silencers I've used in the past.
However, the Threaded Silencer did come with a slight drawback. While it was easy to attach, removing it proved to be a bit of a challenge. It took a bit of force and some patience to unscrew it, which could be a minor inconvenience for some users.
Overall, the Threaded Silencer by LEGRIS was a reliable and well-built option for my 22Lr firearm. Its impressive temperature range and sturdy construction made it a standout choice among other silencers I've tried. While there was a slight inconvenience with the removal process, it didn't deter me from enjoying my shooting experience with this high-quality silencer.

The Rugged Suppressors Obsidian is an exceptional fixed mount designed for carbine and subgun platforms with fixed barrels. It's been a game-changer in my daily life, providing a seamless experience with its robust construction and sleek black finish.
One of the highlights of this product is the thread mount, which securely attaches, making it perfectly suitable for fixed barrels. The model Fixed Mount has proven to deliver top-notch performance under various conditions.
However, there are some cons to consider. For starters, the Obsidian isn't without its share of bulkiness, which could pose a challenge for those seeking a slimmer profile. Moreover, while it's durable, it does require proper installation and maintenance.
Overall, this suppressor has made a significant impact on my firearm experience, bringing a new level of precision and comfort to my shooting. It's not without its quirks, but that's part of the journey.

https://preview.redd.it/jbzk3bxfla3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=95f1a763eeb10a4a013127a8cd823ce2c4018331
As an avid hunter, I've grown accustomed to the loud noise that often accompanies each shot when using a suppressor. It can be a nuisance, especially when I'm trying to maintain stealth during my hunting expeditions. That's when I stumbled upon the Saunders Vudu-X String Stop Black 3/8 in. Daimeter 8 in. Rod.
This innovative suppressor caught my attention with its patented, high-performance compound bow string silencer that replaces my carbon rod dampener. The moment I installed it, I noticed a significant difference in the level of noise it produced. Gone were the resonant strikes and replaced with a much quieter experience.
What sets the Vudu-X apart is its ability to trap the string in a recoil chamber, effectively silencing every single shot. It also absorbed limb shock, making my overall shooting experience smoother and more comfortable.
However, it wasn't all good news. The Vudu-X sometimes felt a bit bulky, making it slightly harder to maneuver compared to my previous suppressor. Nevertheless, the benefits greatly outweighed the minor inconvenience.
Overall, I'm happy with the Saunders Vudu-X String Stop Black 3/8 in. Daimeter 8 in. Rod as my suppressor of choice. Its ability to significantly reduce noise and absorb limb shock makes it a worthwhile investment for any hunter seeking a more discreet and comfortable shooting experience.

What is a 22Lr suppressor?

A 22LR suppressor is a device that is designed to reduce the noise created by a 22LR (. 22 Long Rifle) rifle when the trigger is pulled. This device, also known as a silencer, helps to make shooting more enjoyable in noise-sensitive environments and ensures that others nearby are not bothered by the sound.

What are the benefits of using a 22Lr suppressor?

https://preview.redd.it/t4cvicghla3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4486a1c5cd452988fd00006daa65205a3fda6eab
  • Improved shooting experience: A suppressor significantly reduces the noise generated during firing, making the experience more pleasant and enjoyable for both the shooter and others nearby.
  • Safety: Reduced noise can help protect your hearing over time, especially if you shoot frequently.
  • Less disturbance: Suppressors help to reduce noise pollution, minimizing interference with wildlife and other nearby people or activities.

How does a 22Lr suppressor work?

A 22LR suppressor works by using a series of baffles to slow down and dissipate the high-speed gas generated by the firing of a 22LR bullet. This gas, in turn, cools down and reduces the noise created during firing. The suppressor's internal components are typically made from materials that are heat-resistant and can withstand the high temperatures and pressures generated by the firing process.

Are suppressors legal to own and use?

The legality of owning and using suppressors varies by country and sometimes by state or province. In the United States, ownership of suppressors is permitted under the National Firearms Act, provided that the owner holds a valid Federal Firearms License and has completed the necessary background checks and paperwork. It is recommended to consult with local authorities or experts for the most accurate information regarding your specific situation.

How do I choose the right 22Lr suppressor for my needs?

  • Consider the type of shooting you plan to do: Different suppressors are designed for specific applications, such as hunting or target shooting. Be sure to choose one that is suitable for your intended use.
  • Research materials and construction: High-quality materials and construction will ensure a durable and effective suppressor that can withstand a variety of shooting conditions.
  • Check for user reviews and ratings: Reading reviews from other users can help you understand the pros and cons of different models and make an informed decision.
  • Consult with experts: Seek advice from knowledgeable individuals, such as gun store owners or experienced shooters, to help you find the best suppressor for your needs.

What are some popular 22Lr suppressors on the market?

Popular 22LR suppressors on the market include the SilencerCo Omega 36M, the Rugged Suppressors Fatboy 22, and the Tactical Innovations 22LR Pro.

2024.05.29 06:08 brackishbrandywine Stepping ain’t easy & I think my only choice is to resign

I think my only option is to completely resign as a stepparent. I desperately need advice about sustaining a marriage with polar opposite parenting styles, & how to deal with teenage boys with no manners or basic hygiene.
There is a lot of background here I will try to keep as to-the-point as possible. I am 34 with a 10 year-old daughter. My husband is 39 with a 15 year-old son. We each had kids at 23. We are 5 years apart, as are our kids. We were also friends for 5 years before “courting” & built a strong bond of trust already, so yes, we courted. I had rejected him a few times over the years, as I was abstinent after a toxic relationship & did not want to repeat the same patterns. Over the covid lockdowns, we started talking, texting, facetiming more than ever. When he asked me out again, I told him I was not interested in dating without the ultimate goal of marriage, to which he said, “Good. I don’t want a girlfriend, I want a wife.” 3 months later, we became engaged & our marriage is truly amazing & fulfilling in so nearly every way except one - my daughter & I, some of the most playful & outgoing outdoorsy girls you could meet, have no idea how to connect to his son. And there is nothing to make me think it is worth even trying anymore.
Miraculously, husband & I both get along extremely well with our co-parents. I could not see myself with someone that doesn’t. Neither of us have court orders or child support or rigid schedules. My daughter’s bio dad is one of my best friends, & I made very clear that a relationship with me means respecting his role. He said the same of his son’s bio mom. I come from a very blended family in which this is the ideal. My parents were at each other’s weddings & all get along & still get together. Our own coparents attended our wedding a year & a half ago. And that meant the absolute world to me & hopefully if not now, someday our kids.
For sure, my husband could not be a better stepfather. He & my daughter share inside jokes & their own games & pranks. She has her own nickname for him & will run to him & hug & climb all over him. They convinced me to add baby goats to our homestead, & have been tending to & bottle-feeding them both, a beautiful connection & commitment to share. He says, “She makes it easy.” And to put it lightly, his son does not - but I am absolutely not allowed to talk about it without getting ridiculed.
I first met the son when he was 13. Overweight, awkward, all of his hair in front of his eyes. He then retreated to his room. I know him to be the exact same now. He is 6’0 & I think over 200lbs, larger than my dad. He defaults to locking himself in his room. Unless asked to help stack wood or play a game with the rest of us, he only emerges to use the bathroom (in which he never brushes his teeth or washes his hands), or ask his dad for food - of which, he literally only eats yellow rice & chicken. He will otherwise smash an entire bag of “Takis” or flaming hot Cheetos at 10 AM & continuously throughout the day as they are available to him. He plays live multiplayer games from morning often to midnight or 3 AM, with my daughter’s room right next to him, where I blast the fan & AC & ocean sounds to drown him out. Calling this out seemed to be calling stepson out personally, so all I can do is adapt. Daughter thankfully likes it cold.
I have tried to be as soft & supportive in airing my grievances to husband, but they are never taken with grace or accountability. I am not perfect & have definitely been passive aggressive with his reactivity, as he takes my issues as insults rather than something to work on. He casts blame on bio mom or Covid, & now me. “I don’t know what goes on at bio-mom’s house, we moved an hour away & he gets carsick! I’m out of his life!” “It’s because he was stuck inside for 2 years!” “Are you sure you didn’t HEAR him say hi?” “Good news, I’ve been living with him 15 years, never sanitized a doorknob in his life, & I’ve been fine!” “I wouldn’t want to leave my room with you criticizing his every move either!”
Our first night in our new home for example, was a nightmare. My hand lotion moved from the bathroom counter to the back of the toilet - so then into our room immediately. He left the toilet seat open & my razor covered in pubes. He left open bags of chips with crumbs all over the counter. “It’s an adjustment, it’s hard on everyone!” Husband said over & over. This was an understatement, being that my daughter has been raised to ask for anything from snack time to screen time always with “please,” “thank you,” & we eat out of bowls that we put in the sink rather than stack in our room with soda cans & candy wrappers.. I am familiar with the saying, “Living room kids come from healthy families. Bedroom kids do not.” Daughter is a living room kid. Stepson is a bedroom kid. Either way, I had never had personal items used without asking &felt extremely violated by stepson, then upset that husband blamed me for it instead of understanding where I was coming from.
This remains true nearly a year later. My husband has started lashing out while drinking the past few months, accusing me of “HATING” his son, which is extremely hurtful as I do not harbor any hate in my heart for anyone. What I disdain is the way he is raising his son under our shared roof & living spaces, & that he refuses to acknowledge or communicate about it. As things were not greatly improving, I personally had a talk with stepson about basic manners. I said, “When you enter this house without a greeting or making eye contact, it is an insult. It comes off as rude & entitled & I don’t like feeling like a ghost in my own house. This is your house too & I want you to feel comfortable. But you can help me feel more comfortable too.” “Yeah, okay. Sorry.”
I have truly never had a real conversation with this kid. He does say “hi” & “bye” & the occasional “thank you” now. At this point, it is abundantly clear that he does not want me in a step role, & neither does his father, & neither does bio mom. So it seems I have no choice but to let it all go & suffer bad manners & hygiene, silence, & now bitter resentment from husband.
What I have observed is that I actually“coparent” with my daughter’s father. We coordinate around each other’s schedules, we make decisions together, we communicate about her physical, emotional, spiritual, educational, & social wellbeing. Husband & bio mom do not. They parent in isolation & simply let the other do as they please, which has resulted in a child without manners or discipline. This has led bio mom to put the kid on PROZAC without husband’s consent. This horrified me, as someone who only goes to the doctor for stitches. My daughter’s doctor is the naturopath who midwived her in the bedroom she still sleeps in at her father’s house. I understand not everyone is as holistically minded, but I begged husband to get him to a nutritionist first. The child is obese & malnourished. But too late. Bio mom did as she pleased without communication, which seems constant among them.
I have not shared my views as I know they are not welcome. Bio mom is medicated, her other 10 year-old son (deceased dad) is medicated, & now teenage stepson is as well. Husband blames our distance from him which feels like an indirect blame on me, as we are closer to my community & business as husband works from home. But truly they live in the ghetto, & I have always lived on the coast & barely like to drive through those inner cities. I set up a high school tour for them here which is one of the best schools in the state with a tech program I thought stepson would love, but he chose to stay with his friends, in one of the worst schools of the state. He incredibly won class president, though has dropped a bunch of honors classes & continues failing others.
My birthday was last week. When my husband asked what I wanted, I said baby back ribs & family. I just wanted to grill & chill due to an insane work week. I run a housekeeping business & worked for 24 hours in 3 days opening up for the summer rental season. I did not want to go crazy hosting & knew I would if we invited friends. “Are you sure? You wouldn’t be hosting, I will be! You don’t have to do a thing!” He emphasized over & again. So when a friend ended up visiting from out of state, I was ecstatic to invite her & our mutual close friend to BBQ with us. They are single moms with 4 toddlers between them & wanted to camp on our land.
We had a great day grilling & running the sprinkler & feeding the animals. Husband had promised stepson would be outside with us all day. Toward the evening, I asked where he was. “Do you see any other teenagers out there? What’s he supposed to do?” I was hurt. “Well I don’t see any 10 year-olds either, but [daughter] is still out there, & you actually said he would spend the whole day with us. I just want some time all together.” Husband knocked on his son’s door & said, “Hey it’s her birthday, it’d be nice if you come out & spend some time with us.” Then he did, & even if it was just a quick basketball game with his dad & he introduced himself to no one, it still meant so much to me.
So later when we had helped friends & toddlers set up a tent & fire in our woods, I hugged husband & thanked him for bringing stepson out with us, saying family time was all I wanted. “You two have such a healthy relationship,” my friend says. At the time, it uplifted him & he said he loved this friend to death. A few hours later, he said it was “hilarious.”
We had invited stepson’s mom, but she was out of town. My coparent joined us however, & he & husband stayed at camp with the moms & toddlers while I went to tuck daughter into bed around 9. We played some trivia to unwind, said a prayer, & I kissed her good night & went to start the dishes. Husband & coparent came back around 11 when I was ready to go to bed myself. They were suddenly on a completely different level as my slow & steady beer intake. Both their legs were gashed & covered in blood from their hike without a flashlight, which they thought was hysterical. They were loud & silly like, “You can’t go to bed, it’s your birrrfday!” & I realized, ah. They were drinking my girls’ tequila.
Coparent went on a drunk spiel thanking me so much for all the love I am, how I keep the family together, this & that & showering me with slurred praise. Husband was drunkenly yet enthusiastically agreeing & thanking me, saying I was the best. I tried staying up with them to be polite but they were so deep in conversation on a different level that I went to go make the baby goat formula for their 5AM feeding & go to bed. But I couldn’t find their bottles. I raised my hand with the men, gradually higher & higher to ask husband if he had seen them. “I see you have your hand raised, but hang on, let me finish this point,” coparent said. So husband finally noticed, & I cut in anyway asking if he had seen them. “As a matter of fact, no, YOU fed the goats last so I have no IDEA where they are,” he raised his voice, literally pointing a finger at me.
That suddenly spiraled into another drunken heated accusation of how much I hate his son. I started crying & saying all I wanted was for him to be with us today & that I was grateful he brought him out. He fought me saying they can never have a good weekend because of me, called me an “@$$hole,” & said “F you ,” 3 times in a row, upsetting me so much as there was absolutely nothing I could say, to the point I slugged him in the arm to get him to stop. This has happened twice before embarrassingly with alcohol, when he just yells & yells things that are not true & curses at me that I can’t even respond vocally. “You see how she treats me?!” Both men of course freaked out & coparent started yelling at me to listen to husband. This essentially turned into 2 hours of incessant berating from both of them. They both cried during their own tangents. It spun out of asking for baby goat bottles & continued til 2 AM with, for the first time, continual threats of divorce.
“You are not in this relationship & do not need to mediate it,” I told coparent.
“Like it or not, I am! How you treat husband affects all of us! His feelings are VALID & you need to be quiet & listen to him!” he said.
“I’ve heard this all before & it is simply not true! I do not hate stepson & he wants to divorce me because he thinks I do!”
“Emotions cause us to say things we don’t mean, he does not want to divorce you & knows you don’t hate him,” coparent said.
“Oh no, I DEFINITELY believe she hates him. And if I have to spend the last 4 years of his youth with my son being constantly criticized, I will absolutely divorce her!”
“I did not criticize him once today! I never criticize him, I am trying to help us become a functional household!”
And he just went round & round in the same circular aggressions that can only hear themselves. I continually begged for them to stop yelling as daughter’s window was open, the baby goats needed sleep, our rabbits didn’t need that stress. But I got yelled at more for that. “You can’t control passion & you need to sit down & LISTEN to your husband!” Coparent kept insisting. But I had heard it all many times before. I even tried to sleep in the goat pen, trying to settle the poor babies, still hearing the men raise their voices about me, how being critical was just my nature, & then got yelled out of there.
Around midnight, I tried to resign again & go back inside to finish dishes when stepson emerged. “Do you know where Dad is?” “Oh he’s outside, you can probably save him from [daughter’s dad].” He went into the bathroom. So I poked my head out while they continued bashing me & said, “Stepson needs you.” “I’ll be right there.” I went back to the dishes. Stepson comes out of the bathroom. As always, flushes, no faucet (or hand-washing). “He says he’ll be right there sweetie.” No words, back into his bedroom. 10 minutes go by & still no husband as I continue the endless dishes. I poke my head out again. “Did you not hear me? Your son needs you.” “ALL RIGHT!”
Turns out he needed dinner. Despite a huge spread of barbecue & potatoes & corn & pasta & salad & veggies & dips, stepson touched none of it & needed his chicken & yellow rice. So husband literally cooked him dinner at 1230AM, all the while continuing to accuse me of hating him whilst doing so.
Coparent authentically apologized the next morning on the phone. “You screamed at me for HOURS when I was ready for bed to listen to falsities I have heard over & over without ONCE trying to hear me.” He got it. He humbled & admitted specific wrongs & I accepted his apology.
“Sorry” does not seem to mean anything when you throw around the “D” word like that though. Husband pledged to stop drinking. To his credit, 3 days later, he still hasn’t. But when I said, “If you think I am capable of hate, you don’t know me at all,” the best apology he could give me was, “I’m sorry, I don’t think you hate him. But I know you don’t like him.” Then, “I don’t want to divorce you. I feel like I ruined our entire lives in one night.”
I told him that this is going to take more than “sorry” to heal, especially where blame is still cast, & he will have to “show” me. I don’t even know how, through more conscientious parenting? We haven’t slept in the same bed in 3 nights. I haven’t cooked for him, but I still clean after him. We finished some homestead projects in near-silence together.
I think I must resign to being the invisible ghost stepson makes me feel like. Do I have ANY role here but to resign & accept his parenting & continue mine with my daughter alone, while he reaps the benefits of an amazing relationship with her? Isolation parenting just like with stepson’s biomom ? If not for my daughter & our animals & gardens, I would just want to lock myself in a room all day too. But that’s what is so hard for me to get. We have nearly 30 acres & this child is permitted to be a blob on a screen living on empty calories all day & night. I cannot & will not blame a child for anything. I told my husband that when a plant isn’t thriving, you nourish it & improve its environment. He said he didn’t get it. And as deeply as I love him & don’t want to even think about divorce, I have never been so unattracted to him.

2024.05.29 05:44 j_a_reyes [WTS][ON] FMA FAST helmet, replica gear (chest rigs, plate carriers)

Hey all, doing some spring cleaning and getting rid of gear I never use.
All prices are OBO, shipping is on the buyer. Will absolutely consider a package detail if anyone wants to take multiple things, would actually be preferable.
Located in the GTA.
Pics at the imgur link below:
https://imgur.com/a/pWAoPNW
Item 1: FMA Fast helmet, tan, size M/L - $90 OBO SOLD
Shell is on the thicker side, pads are the non-lux liner type. OCC dial is the actual dial type, not the worm gear that I found to be kind of annoying. Changed out the old shroud to a copy of the Wilcox shroud. Also upgraded the velcro from the old pattern to the newer, more broken up pattern (better coverage).
https://imgur.com/a/jvScgUZ
Item 2: Riggers belt + replica TACO pouch - $20
Riggers belt and TACO pouch, TACO will comfortably hold M4 mags, will probably be fine with AK mags. I don't believe it's really meant for bigger mags like 417 or SCAR-H mags.
https://imgur.com/a/5KRey0b
Item 3: Replica Haley Micro Chest Rig, Multicam, $55 OBO SOLD
Comes as an X-Harness.
https://imgur.com/a/2LnbKnG
Item 4: Replica Spiritus Systems Mk4 Chest Rig, Multicam, $90 OBO
Comes as a H-harness. Has a stretch kangaroo insert to hold 3x M4 mags. Also has the two radio pouches on the sides.
https://imgur.com/a/bZDHhgX
Item 5: Replica PlateFrame, Multicam, Med Plates - $125 OBO SOLD
Comes with the hard swimmer plates + multicam plate covers. Has the S&S Precision style triple mag pouch, and the cummerbund radio pouch. Also comes with the soft foam backers (flotation backers).
https://imgur.com/a/FZ2GaxO
Item 6: Replica Slickster, Ranger Green, Med Plates - $125 OBO SOLD
Replaced the cummerbund with an elastic cummerbund that uses tubes. Original elastic cummerbund will still come included. As well, Slickster currently has a triple mag G-hook style placard on the front. It will also come with the kangaroo+MOLLE G-hook placard pictured as well.
https://imgur.com/a/accNyhg
Item 7: Replica JPC, Multicam, Med Plates - $125 OBO
JPC has the cummerbund replaced with an elastic cummerbund. Comes with the dangler pouch, and has the old school hard plastic triple mag kangaroo insert. Shoulders are that nicer rubbery material, not fabric.
https://imgur.com/a/fA38nXq
Item 8: Replica SPC, Multicam, Med Plates - $200 OBO
Spent some time putting this kit together and really tried to like it, but it just doesn't fit me well - decided to stick with an FCPC.
SPC is multicam, never fielded and completely clean. Comes with medium cardboard plates to hold the shape. Also comes with the side plate pouches, which are filled with foam. It will include the original front flap, which currently has the stretchy fast mag pouches. It will also come with the AXL advanced placard adapters, and the attached triple M4 mag placard. Will also throw in the quad SMG mag pouch.
Biggest thing to note for this SPC is that the cummerbund has been modified. I didn't like the original tab + flap combo, so I cut the flap and replaced it with a tab + cobra buckle combo. The mod is not reversible, so if you don't like the idea of a cobra buckle for this carrier, be warned now.

Problem with screen resolution
F1 screen resolution doesn’t fit my screen even though both are 2560 x 1600, this is exactly the same as f1 23 but I don’t have this issue
