AITA for respecting my late wife’s wishes about keeping her family out?
My wife unfortunately passed away last year when our daughter was only 3 months old. It was very difficult to get through but my little girl and I are keeping it together.
My daughter is 16 months now and there’s been pressure from my wife’s sister to let her side of the family see my daughter.
The issue is my wife had absolutely no contact with her family since she was 18, so 16 years of not seeing them. Her home life was something she never wanted to talk about.
It always made her upset so I never pushed her to tell me. All I know is they were manipulative and abusive in some form. She left as soon as she was 18, changed her last name and never spoke to them again.
4 years ago she got into contact with her older sister and she’s the only person my wife allowed into our lives. By that I mean we met through video chat but never actually in person.
We still maintained contact after my wife passed and we met a couple times before and during my wife’s funeral. My sister-in-law called me a few weeks ago. She mentioned her parents would really like to meet their granddaughter and want to start over.
They didn’t attend my wife’s funeral because they knew she wouldn’t want them to be there.
One thing my wife always made clear is that she did not want them near our daughter. Ever.
Telling my SIL this...well she got very upset. She said it’s been years and yes her parents were awful people (again won’t say exactly what they did) but losing their daughter has made them reflect on things. And they want to meet my daughter since my wife never gave them that chance.
She’s still trying to convince me and so far I’ve said no. Each time I just feel more and more bad for denying them but it’s what my wife wanted.
Her parents found my Facebook (pretty sure SIL might’ve told them) and I’ve gotten dozens of messages begging me to let my daughter know her moms side of the family. And I shouldn’t keep her from knowing her grandparents for past mistakes.
None of them will leave me alone and SIL has said a few times that I may be grieving losing a wife but to have some empathy for them losing a child. Because right now I’m being “too heartless” for denying them the chance to meet the only piece of my wife they have left.
I’m at my wits end with this because I’m not sure if I am being an asshole or not. I don’t know the whole reason why my wife never wanted to see them again. Even if I did though, I’d still like to honor her wish.
The way they are being however, makes it hard not to wonder if I am?

If the family really didn’t attend the funeral to “respect her wishes”, I’m sure they’d do the same here. Don’t let them near your daughter ever, OP

NTA. Do not let them have anything to do with your daughter. The last thing you want is to allow them to have a relationship with your daughter and then after a while you see exactly why your wife didn't want anything to do with them, because depending where you live if they have an established relationship with your daughter they can go for grandparents rights, as of right now they have no grounds. Cut the sil off to she's just giving you a taste of how toxic the rest of your wife's family are. Protect your child.

And do not believe the parents crap that they are grieving the loss of their child. They abused her and lost her completely 16 years ago. They deserve nothing.
The fact neither your wife or her sister can even indicate in even a vague or more generalised way the abuse that occurred, means it was truly horrendous.
Tell your SIL this is a permanent and hard no, and if she cannot accept and respect that fully (which means providing no information to her parents), then she cannot have contact with your child either. You need to be very very careful with her even if it appears she's going along with this. You'll likely need to cut her off too anyway, as she's already shown she's on their side.

Thank you everyone for all the lovely comments and support. I was really worn down with this whole ordeal so all your input was so very appreciated . There was a lot of you that expressed your concerns about what my wife’s family’s intentions were and warned me about taking precautions to keep my daughter safe. I have taken these into consideration and have made steps to ensure they have no access to any information that could disclose our location.
And yes in the end I did decide it was best to cut off all contact, not only with my wife’s parents but her sister too. I tried to get through to her many times about why I’d like to to respect my wife’s call on this since she knew her family best and what they did. Despite all the reassurance that her parents have changed she’s still refused do actually say what went down so that was not at all convincing for me.
Once I blocked them all I was getting calls from different numbers the following days. I sent one final message to her sister stating they’re never allowed near me or my daughter and if they ever tried to come harass us I will get authorities involved. Since then it was radio silence for the last couple weeks but I decided to play it safe a few days ago and changed my phone number.
I’ve also deleted my Facebook since I don’t use it that often but have put my other social media accounts on private. Got many great suggestions from many of you about how to make sure they have absolutely no access to my daughter so I really appreciate that! I’ve saved a few of these comments incase I need some extra tips in the future as my daughter gets older and starts school.
Since I last posted and have cut contact I feel like I can finally breathe. You have no idea how stressful and draining the whole thing was for me so really, thank you all for the help! I’ve been more at peace putting this all behind me and focusing on my beautiful little girl. Just wanted to leave this update since I know there was a lot of concern about how this would all play out.

I remember reading your original post and am happy to hear that you worked it out!
Based on the way your SIL was deflecting the question of what happened I think the reason why your late wife went NC (and why she never told you) would absolutely justify keeping your child away from them. The possibilities are endless but all progressively worse. If you know if the authorities were involved or other people in your late wife's life that would have an idea, it might be worth it to look into it/get a PI just so you have that peace of mind.

OOP: Thank you for the advice. With everything on my plate it’s just been so overwhelming and now this whole situation. I want to be able to honor my wife’s wishes. Whatever the reason was that made her cut all contact with them

Based on the way your SIL was deflecting the question of what happened I think the reason why your late wife went NC (and why she never told you) would absolutely justify keeping your child away from them. The possibilities are endless but all progressively worse. If you know if the authorities were involved or other people in your late wife's life that would have an idea, it might be worth it to look into it/get a PI just so you have that peace of mind.

OOP: I’ve thought about that but part of me isn’t sure if I’d feel better or worse knowing what happened and what exactly it was that my wife had to live with in silence. I’m still thinking about it

My wedding dress alterations has been a fiasco.
Advice needed: Where are my rights to not pay full price for the final bill
I lost a lot of weight, so by the time it came in it was 4 sizes too big. I brought it to a very reputable wedding dress seamstress that I live 90min away from because she has such a great reputation. I brought the dress in mid February and was very upfront and honest with her that I knew the dress was very big and I could potentially lose more weight between than and June 1st (wedding date). (I've lost 5-10 lbs as of today since dropping the dress off). I very specifically asked her if it would be an big issue taking the dress in given how big it was, and would this dress even still work and she assured me it would be no problem and would just cost more.
Including the appointment in mid-feb I have been to this seamstress 9 different times as every time I came in she would say I needed to come back the following week again. Many times something I was supposedly coming back for the following week was not actually done when I got there. For example from the day I brought it in in Feb she suggested and internal elastic corset to help with support and I said yes I want that. In every subsequent appointment it would not be added, she's ask if I wanted it and I'd reiterate that yes I wanted it and to please add it. It was not added until 2 weeks ago.
One week I came in and the entire neckline if the dress was completely changes (started as scoop, was straight across). Came in the following week and she added boning to fix the scoop that dug into my chest and was unflattering and painful, so I had her take it out. Taking it out caused the tips of the scoops to flop over and the dress had been pulled in so tight my chest was flattened and completely unsupported. My rib cage was invisible between where my boobs ended and the skirt began. Leaving this appointment she pointed out to me that the fabric on my right armpit and the right side tip of the scoop neckline had yellow because I'd been in it and sweat so many times during appointment (I am a sweaty gal). We had extra fabric for sleeves she made me to match my dress. I was hesitant and initially said no because the bodice of my dress has a floral pattern and pleats in specific places. She assured me that it would be EXACTLY the same and that I really should dwitch out the fabric. When I came back last week it was in an entirely different orientation.
We luckily addressed the boning issue at that appointment, with 1 minor adjustment being made for this week that I am semi confident about. I haven't seen the fabric put back in the right position, which I'm also told would be ready this week. She tried to work on the pleats with sample fabric to serve as a template which was going very poorly and I finally ended my appointment last week after being there for nearly 2 hours and feeling frustrated and upset. She told me she would work on the pleats based on over 30 photos I sent her of how its meant to look and she said I could come in for a final fitting Tuesday (as in yesterday) and pick the dress up Wednesday. I told her I live 90min away and with my wedding being Saturday I cannot come both days, the dress needs to be done Tuesday. She agreed.
1 hour before my appointment time today for final try on and pickup they call me and say its not done. I need to come tomorrow. I let them know I could have someone pick it up but I could not come in myself tomorrow.
I have already purchased a backup dress over the weekend that only needed minor alterations because I did not have much confidence leaving the seamstress last week. I'm am 90% sure that backup is the one I will end up wearing at this point.
I'm so mad at the original seamstress. She is VERY expensive (I'm paying more for the alterations than I paid for the dress, which is designer). I haven't told her yet that I bought another dress. I'm usually one to just pay my bill and move on with life. I don't like to haggle and never have before.
But this just feels so wrong to me. I spent hours of my time in her shop with the numerous appointments for a dress that I now will most likely not wear because I do not feel good or comfortable in it. She told me multiple times that all the issues were because they had to take it in so much and that the size of my chest was the issue with the neckline not looking correct (despite me showing her photos of me in the sample with my same big boobs looking just fine and supported.
I can see that she is putting a lot of effort into trying to fix it but I don't think it's going to be enough. I wish she had been more honest with me about the challenge pulling it in so much would be when I asked her if it was too big to be properly altered.
Do I bother telling her I won't be wearing it and haggle on the final bill. Or do I just say nothing, pay for the dress, and have it picked up? Do I even have grounds to haggle on the bill?

I am 25F. I am unemployed right now. I’m in Grad School, I volunteer a lot, and I’m currently doing internships for therapy to help gain experience for my résumé. I am partially blind. I have never been in a relationship and I am living with friends at the moment. I just feel like my life is a series of endurance. That’s all I’ve been doing for the past 7 years of college “Just keep going you’re almost there” “Keep moving forward, it’ll get better soon”. I am the first in my family to get my bachelors degree and soon will be the first to get a masters degree ever, even with these accomplishments, I just feel very useless. Where: At the highest peaks of Ministra, you meet a Tiran by the name of Nasaliya. When you interact with her, you have to beat her in a race. This race takes place in the air and you use your Glider. There will be rings that appear and going through them gives you a speed boost. Successfully beating Nasaliya will deem you as a worthy opponent to fight (you only need to do this once and you can do it multiple times for fun if you want).
Fight: This takes place on a small peak of Ministra, a small arena about half the size of Maestro’s boss fight. Nasaliya has 2 phases and 45K health. Phase 2 happens at 30K health. She will fight like a Humanoid too. Her weapon is her wings as they have been so honed that they are sharp like razors.
Phase one Nasaliya has 3 main moves.
Feathered Retreat: Nasaliya jumps 3 times, throwing a fan of feathers towards you each jump. These can be blocked (medium posture damage), parried, or dodged.
Myriddian Feathers: Nasaliya throws hordes of feathers towards you (they are homing). She will throw a random amount of waves ranging from 3-6, making it reaction based, ending with a flying kick towards you that must be parried or dodged (if you block you are instantly guard broken.)
Tiran Divebomb: Nasaliya flys high up in the air out of vision. After a short amount of time, she dives and strikes you. This MUST be dodged. You will hear the sound que of a move that has to be dodged to be able to dodge this. After coming down, she will slide and use another one of her main moves from there. If she hits you, she grabs you, throws you in the air, and strikes you down. This does HEAVY damage.
Not Worthy (Execute): Being not worthy of her actual power will disappoint Nasaliya. She says you weren’t as strong as she thought you were and proceeds to grab you, twirls you once, then tosses you off the mountain. This doesn’t kill you, but forces you to climb Ministra again to fight her.
Phase 2: After reaching phase 2, Nasaliya laughs saying, “Maybe I’ll have to try here!” and she twirls, making a fierce air wave that stops it from snowing completely. This is when the real battle actually begins. Cue the increase of the speed of the music. Phase 2 Nasaliya will be much more aggressive and tough. She changes from a humanoid AI to her own unique AI. She has 2 forms in the phase, which is her land form and air form.
New Moves:
Relentless Dashes (Execute): Nasaliya sees you as worthy and doesn’t hold back. If you are downed, she will teleport to you, uppercut you, then do a flurry of dashes through you until you are reduced to nothing. This kills you.
Feathered Fight: When Nasaliya is fighting you on land she has a chance of entering her feathered state. Feathers will be twirling around her when she lands. In this state, her M1s will send a feather a set amount of distance. Alone, these feathers don't do anything. At the end of her feathered flight, she recalls all the feathers towards her. You must dodge here. Nasaliya will always laugh and then recall her feathers. Each feather does damage to you, so either dodging or staying out of the line between her and you will work. She will swap to a random air move after this.
Tiran Destruction: Tiran Divebomb becomes Tiran Destruction. This covers the arena in red outlines. You must stand in an area that isn’t red to dodge this attack. Even if you dodge the attack you will still get hit for being in the zone. This happens 3 times in a quick succession. You will only be able to get some hits in if you dodged all 3 of these.
Razor Feathers: Nasaliya takes into the air and glides around you preparing to attack. She will send a set of homing feathers to you 4-8 times. Her feathers will either glow red or blue. If they are blue, you must parry or block them. If they are red, you must dodge them. She can only send out 2 red feathers in a row and you must dodge roll cancel to successfully be able to dodge this attack. Her final feather will ALWAYS be blue. Parrying this SUCCESSFULLY, will fling it back towards her, hitting her and knocking her down to the floor. This allows you to get hits on her.
Feathered Aggression: This move is Feathered Retreat but turns her feathers Red and Blue. Blue feathers means parry and red feathers mean dodge. Read “Razor Feathers” on how to deal with this. Her last wave of feathers will ALWAYS be blue, so parrying this deflects it back, stunning her, allowing you to do damage.
Feather Tennis: On the ground, Nasaliya will do a backflip and send a yellow feather towards your direction. This Yellow feather must be hit with an m1 to punish her. You can parry or dodge it, but she will use another move after this then. M1ing the Yellow feather will deflect it and stun her allowing you to get hits in.
Finisher: When reaching 0 HP or her final stand, Nasaliya will use “A Feathered Finish!” to end the fight. This will always be used last and she will not die until this move is used.
A Feathered Finish!: Nasaliya teleports in front of you instantly and throws you upwards away far from the arena. To make it back you have to glide back (your glider will automatically be pulled out even if you don’t have one). Because of the strong winds in the mountains, you move WAY faster (like 3x usual glider speed). There will be a barrage of feathers and you must dodge them by moving accordingly while still moving back to the arena. After making it back from the arena, Nasaliya recalls all the feathers back towards her. At this point is when you just spam F. After this she will say, “That was fun, let's do it again another time…” as she falls down to the ground from exhaustion. You win the fight.
TL:DR
Funny Tiran boss at top of Ministra. A boss fight more on reactions than pattern memorization. She is funny first phase, then the actual fight starts on the second phase. First phase is humanoid AI, while the second phase is going to be similar to fighting Chaser's AI (doing dmg after moves).

Where: At the highest peaks of Ministra, you meet a Tiran by the name of Nasaliya. When you interact with her, you have to beat her in a race. This race takes place in the air and you use your Glider. There will be rings that appear and going through them gives you a speed boost. Successfully beating Nasaliya will deem you as a worthy opponent to fight (you only need to do this once and you can do it multiple times for fun if you want).
Fight: This takes place on a small peak of Ministra, a small arena about half the size of Maestro’s boss fight. Nasaliya has 2 phases and 45K health. Phase 2 happens at 30K health. She will fight like a Humanoid too. Her weapon is her wings as they have been so honed that they are sharp like razors.
Phase one Nasaliya has 3 main moves.
Feathered Retreat: Nasaliya jumps 3 times, throwing a fan of feathers towards you each jump. These can be blocked (medium posture damage), parried, or dodged.
Myriddian Feathers: Nasaliya throws hordes of feathers towards you (they are homing). She will throw a random amount of waves ranging from 3-6, making it reaction based, ending with a flying kick towards you that must be parried or dodged (if you block you are instantly guard broken.)
Tiran Divebomb: Nasaliya flys high up in the air out of vision. After a short amount of time, she dives and strikes you. This MUST be dodged. You will hear the sound que of a move that has to be dodged to be able to dodge this. After coming down, she will slide and use another one of her main moves from there. If she hits you, she grabs you, throws you in the air, and strikes you down. This does HEAVY damage.
Not Worthy (Execute): Being not worthy of her actual power will disappoint Nasaliya. She says you weren’t as strong as she thought you were and proceeds to grab you, twirls you once, then tosses you off the mountain. This doesn’t kill you, but forces you to climb Ministra again to fight her.
Phase 2: After reaching phase 2, Nasaliya laughs saying, “Maybe I’ll have to try here!” and she twirls, making a fierce air wave that stops it from snowing completely. This is when the real battle actually begins. Cue the increase of the speed of the music. Phase 2 Nasaliya will be much more aggressive and tough. She changes from a humanoid AI to her own unique AI. She has 2 forms in the phase, which is her land form and air form.
New Moves:
Relentless Dashes (Execute): Nasaliya sees you as worthy and doesn’t hold back. If you are downed, she will teleport to you, uppercut you, then do a flurry of dashes through you until you are reduced to nothing. This kills you.
Feathered Fight: When Nasaliya is fighting you on land she has a chance of entering her feathered state. Feathers will be twirling around her when she lands. In this state, her M1s will send a feather a set amount of distance. Alone, these feathers don't do anything. At the end of her feathered flight, she recalls all the feathers towards her. You must dodge here. Nasaliya will always laugh and then recall her feathers. Each feather does damage to you, so either dodging or staying out of the line between her and you will work. She will swap to a random air move after this.
Tiran Destruction: Tiran Divebomb becomes Tiran Destruction. This covers the arena in red outlines. You must stand in an area that isn’t red to dodge this attack. Even if you dodge the attack you will still get hit for being in the zone. This happens 3 times in a quick succession. You will only be able to get some hits in if you dodged all 3 of these.
Razor Feathers: Nasaliya takes into the air and glides around you preparing to attack. She will send a set of homing feathers to you 4-8 times. Her feathers will either glow red or blue. If they are blue, you must parry or block them. If they are red, you must dodge them. She can only send out 2 red feathers in a row and you must dodge roll cancel to successfully be able to dodge this attack. Her final feather will ALWAYS be blue. Parrying this SUCCESSFULLY, will fling it back towards her, hitting her and knocking her down to the floor. This allows you to get hits on her.
Feathered Aggression: This move is Feathered Retreat but turns her feathers Red and Blue. Blue feathers means parry and red feathers mean dodge. Read “Razor Feathers” on how to deal with this. Her last wave of feathers will ALWAYS be blue, so parrying this deflects it back, stunning her, allowing you to do damage.
Feather Tennis: On the ground, Nasaliya will do a backflip and send a yellow feather towards your direction. This Yellow feather must be hit with an m1 to punish her. You can parry or dodge it, but she will use another move after this then. M1ing the Yellow feather will deflect it and stun her allowing you to get hits in.
Finisher: When reaching 0 HP or her final stand, Nasaliya will use “A Feathered Finish!” to end the fight. This will always be used last and she will not die until this move is used.
A Feathered Finish!: Nasaliya teleports in front of you instantly and throws you upwards away far from the arena. To make it back you have to glide back (your glider will automatically be pulled out even if you don’t have one). Because of the strong winds in the mountains, you move WAY faster (like 3x usual glider speed). There will be a barrage of feathers and you must dodge them by moving accordingly while still moving back to the arena. After making it back from the arena, Nasaliya recalls all the feathers back towards her. At this point is when you just spam F. After this she will say, “That was fun, let's do it again another time…” as she falls down to the ground from exhaustion. You win the fight.

Funny Tiran boss at top of Ministra. A boss fight more on reactions than pattern memorization. She is funny first phase, then the actual fight starts on the second phase. First phase is humanoid AI, while the second phase is going to be similar to fighting Chaser's AI (doing dmg after moves).

To start off this post, I just want to clarify that I'm a non-native, bilingual speaker which may be a part of the cause. Expect to see a lot of grammar issues.
I'm 16 years old. Lately since these last two months, I started having problems with retrieving the right words that I frequently use in conversations. My sentence structure has also become very simple and basic compared to the richer and complex ones I used to be able to form. All my life I had been an academic achiever so when depression struck me again it was a massive shock for me.
I've been trying to rebuild my poor articulation skills from scratch but no matter I how much put my effort into it, I don't improve. I used to be very observant of how people articulate their sentences and was able to replicate their structures naturally. New words that I came accross immediately gets put into my passive vocabulary. But now my brain fog prevents me from absorbing any new information and it makes me feel stupid for it. That I can't express how I feel and what I think effectively. There are even times that it's not just my articulation going haywire, but the ability to spontaneously form thoughts shuts down.
The fact that I'm going to move into another country with my parents also pressures me to get my English fixed.
Has this happened to any of you? What could be the causes; lack of sleep, burnout, etc.? How did you solve it?

We were not made privy to them because of our human frailty, and our hearts hardened by sin. (Matthew 19:8, Mark 3:1-5, Romans 5:13) Even now, the parables reveal things to us that we were not ready to receive when our Lord walked the earth. (John 16:12-15)
We're made in God's image. Every lesson of life we learn, makes us more like Him. As we grow spiritually, we leave behind logic that no longer seems reasonable. (Psalm 17:15, Matthew 10:25, 1 Corinthians 13:11-13)
Jesus, the prophesied Messiah, came to give us a greater, and more glorious law. (Deuteronomy 18:15, Acts 3:22, Jeremiah 31:31-34) Mankind was not ready to receive, much less live out, the fullness of the law when it was given on Mt. Sinai. Even now, we are being perfected and learning, by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 18:15-19, 1 John 2:27) Jesus explained, "I did not come to destroy the law and the prophets, but to fulfill." He also explained how vital it is to keep the whole law. (Matthew 5:17-20)
Throughout the Hebrew scriptures, we are warned not to "turn to the right hand or the left" in keeping the law. (Deuteronomy 5:32, Deuteronomy 17:1, Deuteronomy 28:14, Joshua 23:6) It means not to do more or less than what it says. The way Jesus kept the law (including the Sabbath law) was a correction of the rulers' current practices. Jesus used scripture, creation, and divinely appointed miracles to show people that they were the ones in the wrong.
Most of the laws Jesus explained to us are more easily broken than the law of Moses. We are no longer even allowed to hate, much less murder. (Matthew 5:43-45, Psalm 139:21-22) We can only keep these laws by the power of the Holy Spirit who changes our hearts. God's Holy Spirit makes us people of truth and love.
All Jesus' corrections of the commandments were scorned in his day. Don't you find it strange that Jesus, the Author of Life, is constantly condemned for promoting life and love in the Bible? (Matthew 12:1-24) The Word of God says, "When my father and mother forsake me, the Lord shall take me up." (Psalm 27:10) Jesus, the Word of God made flesh, kept his promises, even on the Sabbath. (John 1:1, John 1:14, Numbers 23:19, Isaiah 40:8) This is the greatest complaint against him among our Jewish brethren today.
In this study, I learned that God has always worked on the Sabbath he gave us. (John 5:17, Mark 2:27) It was God that kept manna from spoiling and breeding worms every Sabbath day in the wilderness. (Exodus 16:24) Jesus used King David, and those who served in the Temple as examples and proof of God's will. We are to serve God and support life every day, including the Sabbath. I finished this study wondering if, "a day with the Lord is as a thousand years," was a literal statement. (2 Peter 3:8, Psalm 90:4) I hope that God will be finished making us into our final form when Jesus is ready for his Sabbath rest with his bride. (Psalm 95:6-11, Hebrews 4:1-12, John 3:26-36)
In Jesus' day, it went against Jewish tradition to fast on the Sabbath. Jesus' disciples did not have food to eat. They were not offered a meal by their peers. Instead they accused Jesus' disciples of breaking the Sabbath because they made produce fit to eat by using their hands to take and rub clean the food God gave them. (Deuteronomy 23:25, Matthew 12:1-7)
I believe the only accusation anyone can have against Jesus is over whether or not he really was one with God. There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus spoke the truth of who he was, and it cost his life. (Matthew 26:65, Isaiah 53:12)
I spent quite a bit thinking on this passage, where Jesus was nearly stoned to death before his crucifixion. The scene takes place during Hanukkah, which is also a time when fasting and mourning are not lawful... yet hate and envy seem to be allowed? No wonder we needed a Messiah to change our hearts! (Zechariah 12:10, John 19:34-37)

 | Ok so with extensive research and keeping check of Smolder win rates by runes and by item in order and 40-50 games of Smolder this past few weeks I've come to the following conclusions from my experience submitted by AstralFlo to SmolderMains [link] [comments] Most consistent runes for me were First Strike > Magical Footwear > Biscuit Delivery > Jack of All Trades with precision secondaries doing Absorb Life > Legend: Haste First Strike feels like you don't miss out on the extra damage from Comet and helps accelerate your build now that it's more early game focused with the base gold becoming 15g not long ago, Magical Footwear helps with acceleration in the build as it grants 300g for free and gives +10 MS on your boots, by statistics Swifties are the better winrate boots but with this with Lucidity or Mercs, you get 55 MS, just 5 shy of basic Swifties, Biscuit Delivery helps with mana before your first back for which you always run summoner Tp, Jack of All Trades with any build always gives +6 AH and +10 Adaptive, with the one I found most consistent always achieving +10 Haste and +25 Adaptive, Absorb Life in secondaries (which is about to be buffed) is a great alternative to Fleet Footworks helping with sustain and Legend Haste makes runes give potentially 25 Haste or 33 if you do Ability Haste shard, I've been running double Adaptive though as it helps with poke in the early game with W having 1.0 AP ratio and going Doran's Ring being best with 3 early points in W before Q first max being best levelling route Liandry's second or third item, it quickly catches up with how much BFT has burnt and by the late game either doubles or triples the amount it has burnt so most of the burn coming from the double burn build would still come from Liandry's anyways and even though the mana is nice on BFT, I generally didn't feel the need of it after trying the build many times which surprised me, was expecting to run Oom way more, anyways its been proven that burn on first slot for Smolder has felt the best so it makes sense, running Sheen first into Liandry's also felt very nice, Mercs gives 3 different stats by itself, giving flat ms, tenacity and mr so it procs 3 stats on Jack of All Trades and as second item will also give +10 adaptive, feels great, completing Trinity Force after gives a very sharp spike in damage in comparison with going Lich Bane second item so it helps with the usually rough early to mid-game, Shojin on third slot is statistically best time to build it and on this build makes it so by now all items make Smolder way tankier than he should be with +1k bonus health from 3 items and mercs giving tenacity and mr, haste by this point is crazy, with Legend Haste's 15, +7 from Jack, possible 8 from shards, 40 ability plus Shojin's +15 on basic abilities doing 77-85 basic Ability Haste, 62-70 for the Ult, Riftmaker afterwards intensifies true damage burn slightly, makes you tankier and translates your bonus hp into AP so makes sense why statistics show it being best built at this time, omnivamp is also no joke, can help lots now that you can stay in fights for longer and closer to the frontline and RFC to close out gives the last 3 stats needed to get +15 adaptive on Jack, so it makes it feel less shit to build the non AD version of RFC and by this point you might not really need to get tankier, just to get more access with the energized Qs which should melt by this point, can also change for Bloodthirster because it feels more powerful but you wouldn't finish proccing Jack which is no big deal but all around very surprising build that didn't have me run OoM, feels real tanky and damage never falls off Now with all that said, it's still not the most damaging build, BlackFire Torch opens up a great build path for max damage, BlackFire > Liandry's / Lich Bane > Lich Bane / Liandry's > RiftmakeShadowflame/Malignance > Rabadon's DC gives best damage, Ult plus W and the burn going so high with the full AP build makes teamfights in the jungle unfair, BFTs AP amp from burning multiple targets is very felt here because of the high AP ratios felt, it even felt better to just get first back tear and continue any other build than going for ER first item consistently, Manamune was also nice but didn't align as much with the builds that I mathed out and when trying them out with Manamune it wouldn't feel like you'd spike as much, despite numbers showing like you should, might be a thing of how having burn first slot and sheen option second slot compliments Smolder better but I would never say it's a bad item, numbers do support it being good, statistics show that win rate is similar. Navori's is dead There's also another very promising build I've been trying out but didn't try out as much as the others and had bad luck like a double afk teammate game where I was held hostage not helping me fully experience it but I think it might be the best one, Rod of Ages > Lucidity boots > Liandry's > Lich Bane > Riftmaker > Rabadon's, think about it, all of the mana you'll ever need, the best amount of HP you can find on AP items that will convert to extra AP for Riftmaker, the best item from the burn duo, full AP, very tanky, extra level from RoA plus potential Elixir of Skill accelerating you real fast, I beg of you guys to try it out as well, tell me if I'm cooking or nah https://preview.redd.it/q6s67xtgqa3d1.png?width=480&format=png&auto=webp&s=82cdf0b45d674ab501e6256f8c0fadb05454a542 All of the above builds btw have been tested and easily and very consistently achieve top damage in lobby 14.11 will have the following changes that are significant for Smolder: Crit ratio to bonus Damage on Q conversion is changing to 75% extra damage at 100% crit, making it so basically Q now crits, if we get it so on another patch we also get Q to count as crit damage when you go 50%+ crit for the purposes of making Yun Tal viable, I suspect it might be a perfect change since burn first item proved to feel best when testing last patch. Q mana cost goes from 23-35 to flat 25 Base AD goes from 57 > 60, making early game and Trinity Force proc better Essence Reaver has AD going from 65 > 70 and cost goes down from 3200 > 3100, making it so it's a 70 AD, 25 Ability Haste, 25% Crit Chance stick with Mana fixing on 3100g, making it a viable first item again for Smolder, if Q became considered crit later down the line I suspect Essence Reaver > Yun Tal > Trinity/Lich Bane > Shojin > BloodthirsteLiandry's to become his next best build or even Tear >Yun Tal > RFC > Trinity > Shojin > Manamune if we get some kind of Attack Speed Ratio somewhere My expectation is that Smolder will pick up a little bit but still be worst win rate for botlane and might pick up a bit midlane if the better builds start being actually built, many people are still using wrong runes for AP or AP bruiser Smolder, buffs will still be needed, my wish would be for them to add Attack Speed to Ability Haste conversion on one or two of Smolder's abilities to open up build diversity without making him busted, either do it on E or Q or both and that won't be a buff that has Smolder become new Tank Ekko because it will still lean on the squishier builds and same intended weaknesses will be had, Attack Speed converting to Ability Haste on E sounds pretty metal to be honest, anyhow, these are my findings and predictions, what do you guys think? |

That night, I felt so scared because I actually went to the movies to watch 666 film. I remember my auntie saying that demons would come out that day and take siblings appearance to trick and haunt people. Nevertheless, I felt so scared that I went to sleep to my parents room, took my mattress and brought it to their room.
As it was expected, at 3.30 am we heard this acute noise, and glass-like breaking noise. We checked the whole first floor and we found that someone (this literally had been someone) threw a hard bun (like a bread) through the window.
3 - 5 days after, we all left home around 6 pm, we went to the nearest mall that was 20 mins away in car; we went to just spend the day and see stuff. Regular Sunday-like day. When we came back, we noticed that every single door at the first floor was locked up from the inside. This was and old house. We didn't have the keys for each door. So we had to break the knobs of each door.
Later that night, I remember I was watching south park at MTV. Well this was not a proper show for a "13 yo kid" so I had to watch it with the lowest bright, the lowest sound and in a bed position like if I was sleeping already.
I felt someone was looking through the hole in the door after my dad removed the knob with a hammer. So I felt anxious and desperate, this time, was my mom. She entered the room and grounded me and forcing me to turn off the tv. Next I heard she entered their room and everything remained silent.
While I was starting to fall asleep, I checked on the hole where the knob was, and, I saw an eye, thought it was mom again so, I started to say out loud "come on mom, stop kidding" but the gaze remained still. It wouldn't wink. It wouldn't move. And every second I spent watching it, it kept growing an incomprehensible fear inside me, until I just lose it and started to yell for my parents.
They arrived as soon as they could, and checked the rest of the floor. There was nobody nor anything suspicious.

My study today was spent defending Jesus as a law-giver and law-keeper. I learned that Jesus' interpretations of justice and mercy were always in existence. We were not made privy to them because of our human frailty, and our hearts hardened by sin. (Matthew 19:8, Mark 3:1-5, Romans 5:13) Even now, the parables reveal things to us that we were not ready to receive when our Lord walked the earth. (John 16:12-15)

Jesus, the prophesied Messiah, came to give us a greater, and more glorious law. (Deuteronomy 18:15, Acts 3:22, Jeremiah 31:31-34) Mankind was not ready to receive, much less live out, the fullness of the law when it was given on Mt. Sinai. Even now, we are being perfected and learning, by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 18:15-19, 1 John 2:27) Jesus explained, "I did not come to destroy the law and the prophets, but to fulfill." He also explained how vital it is to keep the whole law. (Matthew 5:17-20)
Throughout the Hebrew scriptures, we are warned not to "turn to the right hand or the left" in keeping the law. (Deuteronomy 5:32, Deuteronomy 17:1, Deuteronomy 28:14, Joshua 23:6) It means not to do more or less than what it says. The way Jesus kept the law (including the Sabbath law) was a correction of the rulers' current practices. Jesus used scripture, creation, and divinely appointed miracles to show people that they were the ones in the wrong.
Most of the laws Jesus explained to us are more easily broken than the law of Moses. We are no longer even allowed to hate, much less murder. (Matthew 5:43-45, Psalm 139:21-22) We can only keep these laws by the power of the Holy Spirit who changes our hearts. God's Holy Spirit makes us people of truth and love.

(Matthew 12:1-24) The Word of God says, "When my father and mother forsake me, the Lord shall take me up." (Psalm 27:10) Jesus, the Word of God made flesh, kept his promises, even on the Sabbath. (John 1:1, John 1:14, Numbers 23:19, Isaiah 40:8) This is the greatest complaint against him among our Jewish brethren today.
In this study, I learned that God has always worked on the Sabbath he gave us. (John 5:17, Mark 2:27) It was God that kept manna from spoiling and breeding worms every Sabbath day in the wilderness. (Exodus 16:24) Jesus used King David, and those who served in the Temple as examples and proof of God's will. We are to serve God and support life every day, including the Sabbath. I finished this study wondering if, "a day with the Lord is as a thousand years," was a literal statement. (2 Peter 3:8, Psalm 90:4) I hope that God will be finished making us into our final form when Jesus is ready for his Sabbath rest with his bride. (Psalm 95:6-11, Hebrews 4:1-12, John 3:26-36)
In Jesus' day, it went against Jewish tradition to fast on the Sabbath. Jesus' disciples did not have food to eat. They were not offered a meal by their peers. Instead they accused Jesus' disciples of breaking the Sabbath because they made produce fit to eat by using their hands to take and rub clean the food God gave them. (Deuteronomy 23:25, Matthew 12:1-7)
I believe the only accusation anyone can have against Jesus is over whether or not he really was one with God. There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus spoke the truth of who he was, and it cost his life. (Matthew 26:65, Isaiah 53:12)

So I recently had a three month review after my second surgery. The neurosurgeon was very happy, told I was tumour free and sent me off to see me again in 12 months. I get excited, post on socials to family and friends.
Followup with the oncologist the next day and he is less enthusiastic. Says the mri doesn't clearly show whether there's a sliver remaining or swelling interfering with the image. With how quickly my tumour grew last time, he doesn't want to leave it, so I'm getting another scan in 3 months. Now I feel like an ass for getting excited.
I have Schroedinger's tumour, this is so irritating and disappointing.

- I suggest you learn the sideloading process. Without access to the Google playstore, you are going to have to wait for Rayneo to add to the official apps (which are largely a waste of time). APKmirror is a good source of APK files (download the APK, not the Bundle links and look for arm64 versions)
- Once you load SCRCPY (or straight up ADB tools), the first thing you want to add is an APK manager. Save yourself from annoying issues, do this first. You can easily remove apps you try and dont like immediately without having to figure out what they are in ADB.
- These glasses do not currently support google services. Chances are anything google dependent will not work properly. You know what does? Microsoft. I hate them, but they at least work. Microsoft Translator, Edge browser, Copilot AI search, Lens PDF scanner all work. They are not the prettiest layout, but they work.
- Sky tonight works (Star map overlay) and is far cooler to show off to friends then Mickey or the other AR demo apps that always say they are overheating.
- The built in Navigation is lacking, load Waze as an alternative
- The native translation app works, but the subject needs to speak slow and clearly in order for it to register. They also get to watch you stare at them cross eyed with ridiculously oversized glasses on. Use the sunglass lens cover to minimize this.
- Speaking of Translation: I have not been able to use the native apps to read text in another language. Microsoft translator is capable of taking a picture and translating the text with a larger database of languages.
- keep a battery bank on you along with the cables, the ring will die first and third party apps require the ring to be connected. The glasses chew thru their charge in a couple hours (or less) if you use them frequently.
- The onboard AI is lacking. I found Microsoft copilot to be more reliable with it's answers. ChatGPT doesnt work. Neither does Gemini.
