I just reached Lemuria as a 149 balance wizard, and I'm already struggling a little bit. My stats aren't amazing and I keep dying before I can hit, which is really frustrating. I also can't hit very fast because I don't do a ton of damage, so I need to do a bit of set up before killing bosses. Should I try upgrading some of my gear, or should I just try to power through?
My gear currently: Hat: Cabal Hood of Disruption Robe: Drape of the Exalted One Boots: Sabatons of the Exalted One Wand: Supreme Teleological Staff (Random Bazaar wand) Athame: Blade of the Felled Titan Amulet: Cabal Amulet of Disruption Ring: Xibalba's Dread Seal (I know I should get something better)

I've been fooling around on CapFriendly and was curious what y'all thought about these potential UFA targets or who you have been eye-ing to sign?

1. I'll start by saying that I think the Kings should move PLD from center to wing, where he doesn't have to drive play as much and isn't required to be as physical as in C. Interestingly, he played RW throughout juniors before switching to C in the NHL, so I think this may be a natural fit. I then have Byfield slotting into the 2C spot, allowing him to grow and hopefully be prepared to take 1C by the time Kopi retires.
2. Unless we come to a team friendly term with them, I think Arvidsson and Roy are gone. Byfield is our number one priority to re-sign, and as much as I'd like to lock him up for term I think that both team and player will take a shorter bridge contract. Secondarily, we will have to re-sign Spence, Turcotte, and Grundstrom; all of whom I think earned a pay raise with their play so far. Lastly, I think that we bring back Lewis at league minimum, assuming he wants to play one more year. I'm assuming the deals for these players would look something like:

Byfield: 3yrs x $4,500,000
Spence: 2yrs x $1,750,000
Turcotte: 2yrs x $1,350,000
Grundstrom: 1yr x $1,750,000
Lewis: 1yrs x $875,000
This probably leaves us with about $8million in cap space, and the following line-up:

So where to fill these gaps?
Forwards

1. Tyler Bertuzzi. A modern-era power forward who would bring youth, intensity, puck hounding, along with some scoring upside. I see him as fitting perfectly into our team, bringing the sandpaper we desperately need while also helping improve our scoring ability. He has also shown his ability to play up and down the lineup, giving us good flexibility on the left side. Currently on a $5million contract, I could see the Kings signing him with a modest pay bump and term.
2. Tyler Toffoli. Cupcakes. What can I say, a reunion would be so sweet and also would make sense for both parties. Toffoli can offer a scoring touch and is already familiar with the Kings system, having even found some success with Kopi before. More slotted for top-6 role, the infusion of leadership into the locker room can also not be overlooked. Currently has a $4.3 million cap hit, rumor is that he is looking for some term. As a 32 year old, Kings likely could sign him for a few years with a modest raise.
3. Teuvo Teravainen. I think Teravainen has a lower ceiling than the other two players mentioned, but is still able to consistently put up points. He offers more of a power play scoring specialty, which I don't need to explain why the Kings desperately need this. Currently has a $5.6million cap hit and at 29 is likely looking for a sizeable raise from his previous contract.

Defense

1. Jacob Movarare. I think Movarare has been serviceable during his last few call ups and would be a safe option to hold down our third pairing. While not likely to blow us away, his budget contract (currently an AAV of $775,000) and steady play makes him my top choice to fill out or D Corps.

Goalie

1. Laurent Brossoit. Similiar to the Talbot/Rittich duo this season, I think that running a Brossoit/Rittich duo next season may not be spectacular it could still provide us with the saves we need. At a current $1.75million cap hit, he is likely a good balance of budget and performance.
2. Saros, Ullmark, Gibson, or other trade. The Kings have definitely been shopping for a big name goalie, however, I'm not convinced we need to swing for the fences to get a top $ goalie this offseason. As shown last season by the Talbot/Rittich duo, the Kings can shelter their goalie and don't require them to bail the team out too often. Additionally, teams like VGK have shown that this method can work for deep runs. While I think that cap space would be better spent on improving the forwards and horrendous PP, I could also see the Kings taking a stab at a bigger name. I do think this approach would only make sense if there are plans to re-sign the goalie and commit long-term, likely to the detriment of Portillo. If they think he is the goalie of the future, then we likely hold the course and don't make any big goalie moves until he is ready to be 1G.

Hi Everyone! I’ve always loved good smelling stuff and for the last 15 years I’ve usually had one bottle of cologne, and would replace once it’s out. Only in the last few months have I really delved into this world and began filling out a modest collection. I’m definitely not an expert (so take my reviews with a big grain of salt) but I love smelling and writing so here ya go. (Fucking wall of text incoming lmao, I didn’t realize how lengthy this got)
I just got back from a three-hour mall trip to try and get my nose on as many niche fragrances as my senses would tolerate. I had already done a good bit of research so I had some picked out to try and others already crossed-off. Im a 30M for reference.
I also had the goal in mind to find a contender for a fall/winter scent that exudes class, sophistication and decadence. For that, I’ve already tried a few that I really enjoy, and kind of used these as a springboard to continue exploring:
Xerjoff Alexandria II- This is what I envision royalty wearing. Lavender and rosewood mix soooo nice in the open, and dries into a lovey rose/vanilla/essence of oud. The oud is really toned down here for those that dislike it. It’s kind of hard to pick out. Nuclear performance.
Initio Oud for Greatness- Another good starter oud, you could say (this was my introduction to oud). It lasts forever and the dry down is seriously heavenly. The wet, soily oud is at the forefront for 2-4 hours, but I’m absolutely in love with what’s left when it disappears. Lavender, saffron, nutmeg and musk mixes into the best dryer-sheet-like scent I’ve come across (what it reminds ME of at least).
Perfums de Marly Haltane- Quite similar in the opening to Oud for Greatness. Haltane is darker, though, where I get more leathesmoke. I think the oud in this is more subdued, or at least less moist smelling. It blends well and lasts a good while.
Initio Atomic Rose- Holy shit. Apparently rose gets my motor GOING. I tried a lot of rose-centric fragrances today, but this probably still takes the cake for its balance and strength, in addition to the scent itself being just gorgeous.
So with those in mind I was off to Neiman Marcus. I sampled a large amount more than what I’ve written, but stuck to the ones that were memorable; good or bad.
Frederic Malle - Portrait of a Lady- My favorite of the Frederic Malle. Sensual rose/clove/currant at the front, but it is kind of hard to pick out specific notes on this one. After looking, I can get the cinnamon in the background of the dry down, it blends perfectly with the sandalwood, rose and benzoin after drying down. - Carnal Flower- Some similarity to POAL, lots of tuberose and jasmine, which I personally like. A bright yet sensual floral, and you get some coconut and melon there, too. I typically dislike coconut but this is blended masterfully. - Lipstick Rose- Yeah, that’s what it smells like. Try this if you’ve seen people describe scents as lipstick-y or violet taking on that accord. Not my cup of tea, also leans more feminine to my nose than the other two. - Musc Ravageur- I really wanted to like this one. And for a split second I did! A clove-y vanilla sasparilla is what I first got, and it unfortunately turned into barnyard urine. I immediately remembered seeing some reviews stating this, and I couldn’t get my nose to move past it. I can tell there’s good stuff there, but not for me.
Amouage - Reflection- The only one I’d tried before, and remains one of my favs. Rosemary and pink pepper greet you with a deep, fresh spice. The vetiver and patchouli sit nicely at the bottom, and the combination of white florals mixes wonderfully. Another scent I could imagine on royalty, and seems pretty versatile, too. You could wear this year-round without feeling out of place. Insane staying power. - Lyric- Probably my favorite, but I need to smell again on another day. Compared to the other Amouage, I had to continually stick my nose in the coffe beans to pick up the scent from the test strip. When I did get it, it was a lovely light, fresh scent. Quite a departure from the other Amouage I’ve tried, but great. No surprise, the list of notes are some of my favorites: lime, bergamot, rose, orange blossom, saffron, nutmeg, musk, pine, vanilla, incense, sandalwood. Seriously, love each and all those individually and they come together beautifully. - Interlude- Another good one. Dark, mysterious. Definitely get the oregano/peppepatchouli/incense bomb off the top. Leather lurking behind. I typically don’t gravitate toward the leathery scents but this one’s good. - Enclave- This pretty much seals the deal for me that on me, mint just ain’t it. I liked Sedley at first, but the mint somehow gets too cloying to my nose after too long. I can tell I would get the same from the peppermint in the opening of Enclave. I almost liked this one, too. If you can even tolerate peppermint, you’ll enjoy this one.
Mind Games - Blockade- Wowww. First sniff love, here. Explosion of citrus, juicy fruit-y sex. I usually find myself staying away from citrus-forward scents but this shit is next level. This will be a contender for my next upscale summer buy. - Double Attack- Another love at first sniff. It’s familiar, though. Chocolate/orange/cinnamon/vanilla. You’ll want to eat it right up. I already have this box checked in my collection, but may come back to it in the future. - Checkmate- Another lovely scent. Champagne, red currant, rose, magnolia, little patchouli. It all comes together really nicely, and it was difficult for me to pick out specific notes before looking. Not a love, but I was really impressed with the quality and scent profile of the Mind Games I tried.
Clive Christian - Town & Country- Wow. No seriously, like fucking wow. Smells like an Italian fruit cart strolling through an English manor’s sprawling garden road. I look at the notes and I don’t understand how you get this smell supposedly out of Clary Sage, Ambergris, and Sandalwood. Like, what? This is high quality shit. I get some pear or grapes there, too. Try this. - Crab Apple Blossom- Yum yum yum this is goooood. Smells like it sounds. Bergamot, apple blossom and rhubarb dance around playfully together. Can’t help but have a big stupid smile on your face when you smell this. The more it dried down, the more it might be my favorite over Town & Country. - Matsukita- Another great scent. In the same vein as the other two since they are part of the same “Crown Collection.” You get some smokiness, here. Bergamot with nutmeg and mate give depth and a little mystery. White florals, woody ambers and musk at the base. Just quality stuff here. All three of these in the Crown Collection were available in 10ml travel size gift pack for $300. Good idea to put on my wish list. That shit is kiiiinda expensive.
Xerjoff - Erba Pura- I did not expect to like this as much as I did! Favorite that I sampled. Perfect combination of citrus and fruitiness off the top, layered over a bed of sweet musk. Something here is very familiar to my nose but I couldn’t place it. This will be another top contender for a future upscale summer purchase. - Accento- Soothing scent. Fruity white floral (usually dumb reach for me), and the iris gives it some powder but not overpowering. Not as feminine-leaning as I would have expected. - Iommi- Delicious! Sweet smoky rum off the top, and it’s a little surprising how forward the patchouli and leather is in this. It’s bordering on being a little overpowering, but it tames a bit on the dry down. I’d need to see how this goes on my skin, for sure. - Torino 21- Another one that I liked way more than expected. I’m going back and seeing mint listed as a top note here…I didn’t get that! And thank God since mint usually is a non-starter. Kind of an aquatic green to my nose. Again, just a lovely scent. - Naxos- Yeah ok this is good shit. I was expecting a sweet bomb, but this is definitely more restrained than what a lot of reviewers will have you believe. I’m a sucker for lavender and bergamot. Throw in honey and jasmine atop a bed of tobacco, vanilla and tonka bean? Yes please. - Erba Gold- Pretty good. To my nose more feminine than Erba Pura, likely due to the extra fruits in the middle. That combination of citruses, pear and melon is reminiscent of particular ladies’ scents.
Louis Vuitton - L’Immensité- Ohhhh yeahh. Relaxation in a bottle. My favorite besides maybe Fleur du Desert. This, Imagination and Météore all kind of dance to the same song, so to speak. More than one of these would be redundant, in my opinion. The quality speaks through each of these fragrances, though- really nice stuff. - Imagination- The name fits, as a lot of the notes here are almost fleeting like a word on the tip of your tongue. It’s a great, calming scent but it didn’t blow me away. Like I said, L’Immensité was the best of these and I don’t see the need to diversify within this collection. - Météore- Compared to L’Immensité, there’s a little more sweetness here. This leans closer to a shower gel-like scent in my opinion. Still great. - Fleur du Désert- This one started out reallly good. Honey and cinnamon into rose and orange blossom is an intriguing, sensual combination. Unfortunately, smelling it on my arm after a couple hours, the jasmine and honey turn into something my mind recognizes as an old lady scent. The POAL on my hand, by comparison, keeps mixing with my skin in a great pheromonic way. - Ombre Nomad- Disappointed with this one. I’m realizing I don’t gravitate toward darker scents like heavy oud, leather, incense. I can tell it’s put together really well and uses quality materials, but this isn’t one that was made for me.
All in all, my main take-aways include: Xerjoff scents living up to the name. I was definitely impressed with their offerings, and would have expected it to lean closer to overrated. Same with Mind Games. Really enjoyed everything I sampled from them, even if it wasn’t my cup of tea, I was impressed with the quality. Also, I need to get back and sample the rest of the Clive Christian house. I was absolutely blown away with what I tried.
A little bonus: I tried TF Noir de Noir, Extreme Noir, and Cafe Rose. Extreme Noir is excellent. A regal mix of saffron, nutmeg and cardamom on top of rose and white florals. Ahhhh, again, similar to what I imagine a king or king to smell like.
Cafe Rose is probably the second best rose-centric scent to my nose besides Atomic Rose. I’ll need to put those side by side.

I just realised something recently with the end of 3rd nightmare but how the fk is Sunny still fine mentally especially right now ? Let's recapitulate cause it's unreal.
Sunny was poor and living with his parents, his dad died when was 4 and his mom died when he was 7, after that both him and Rain went through gov child care system, Rain found her good family (he didnt know and will later) while he went in a lot of different foster family while having behavioral issues. In the end it never worked so he ran away, after that he lived in the streets alone and asocial plus starving with no home etc for several years, it's already bad enough but it's not over.
1st nightmare was him having to randomly survive an impossible situation against a monster plus having to deal with people, and he killed for the first time. Then 2 month of school and fkn forgotten shore, he made connections etc but it's genuinely 1% good and 99% terrible for him, only arc where we see Sunny kinda lose it and it was very well done for the situation at hand plus his dev so it's not just linear perfect dev.
So he gets out of it and chained isles, which were good until modret's arc which was very bad again, then 2nd nightmare which was fkn horrible with colosseum and the nightmare fight.
Then Antartica which is just him trying to survive horrible things (lo49 💀) plus saving people. That arc was very bad for him and end very badly.
Some bad things happening with the desert and skin walker and then 3rd nightmare.
3rd nightmare was overall not that bad until the Island incident 💀 where he died like more than 60 times easily I think and was really tired.
Then he breaks fate and... he literally loses all his possessions and relationships, SUNNY IS BACK TO WHERE HE WAS AT CHAPTER 1 AFTER 6 YEARS OF STRUGGLING 💀 yes he had good moments and is powerful now but it doesn't matter, he's alone again and back in hell after having tasted heaven for some moments in his life, this shit is terrible. Sunny literally had a worse life than 99.99 % of the humans in his world and 99% of MCs in fiction overall and he only went crazy once ? (Mad prince doesn't count it's not our sunny) Sunny doesn't have plot armor but at this point his mental is his plot armor how the fk is he "ok".
From what we know after that in the 4 years ellipse he spent 3 years alone in the dreamworld killing nightmare creatures and going back to old places and then last year opened his coffe Shop. Those 3 years is when he crashed out and then opened the coffe shop after being mentally good again and that's the thing that annoys me.
I don't wanna see Sunny go crazy but I hate the fact that we don't even see how he heals and deal with it etc. I personally think and hope we will get back to those 3 years be it completely or through some short flashbacks. We always followed Sunny until the start and always knew what happened in his mind and how he developed mentally so this time not knowing even a tiny bit what he went through is weird and annoying asf, I wanna know what Sunny thought through that period, what he did, how did he cope about it, if he lost his mind how ?, when he healed and moved forward how ? If he growed up mentally how ? Anyway tell me what you think of it and G3 stop torturing my glorious King that I really like !!! :( (Sunny will make it !!!)

I want to first preface by saying that this is in no way an attempt to brag about my financial situation. I am genuinely seeking financial advice to help alleviate the stress and anxiety that I have been having over potentially needing to sell my house. I have never posted on Reddit before so I hope that this is best place and an appropriate post. My apologies for the length.
Here's my background and situation:
I am 32 and have been dating my boyfriend, 33, for 5 years. I purchased a house in central Maine in 2017 for $138k on a 3.750% RHS loan for 30 years. My payment is about $900 monthly for the mortgage and escrow. Currently, the loan balance is $116k. My home on online real estate websites has an estimated value of $260k. I own a 2013 Chrysler, which is paid off, and am going to have my second car, a 2017 Subaru paid off in July. I currently have no other debts.
I earn $43,000 a year, but have been working as much overtime as allowed by my employer. This brings my potential annual earnings to nearly $60,000. My overtime earnings allow me to pay an additional $800 on my car loan every month. My boyfriend makes about $60,000 a year and has no debts. We both work for state/quasi-state entities, which we will receive a pension from when we retire. We also both contribute to a 401a and 457.
I would have never imagined being this financially sound ever in my life and would love to keep it this way. I have seen my own mother struggle and have worked hard to be where I am today. However, I may need to sell my home. My boyfriend wants to move back where his family is in Ohio. While I don't care where I live, I am incredibly worried about how smart it would be to sell. We may not be guaranteed to keep our jobs if we move out of state. Because of this potential problem, I have set up a financial plan to save $2200 a month for the next five years to put towards buying a home in cash so I am not tied down with two mortgages while I sell my current home. My boyfriend has also been saving as much as possible every month. However, we do not plan on getting a mortgage together. This way if we separate I would either have the home in my name or if it was in his name, then I would have the money I saved up. Again, my mother struggled and I don't want to end up in the same situation.
I truly love my boyfriend and can see myself spending the rest of my life with him, but I would love to be financially debt free before my 40s, which was my plan prior to meeting him.
Is it a wise choice to sell in my situation and take on a much higher loan? This would mean potentially losing our jobs with great pay and benefits and having to find new jobs. I would also be giving up a $900 a month mortgage/escrow, which could be potentially paid off in 5 years. I don't have family or friends that I can lean into for advice, so what would you do?
TL;DR - I am thinking about selling my house with a great loan to move out of state and potentially lose my job and have a much higher rate loan. Is this smart?

TLDR: I got surgery and now my job is firing me if I don’t return to office within the next 3 days.
I’m rather new to Reddit. But I wanted to share my experience. Late March of 2024 I had to get emergency surgery on my spine and I’ve been recovering since. It’s now May of 2024.
Originally, when I went into the ER, I let my boss know that day and I told them that they were going to preform this surgery and I didn’t really have a choice in the matter. It was go home with completely numb legs and risk permanently losing feeling or get the surgery today and recover what I can. They told me to get better and my recovery comes first. This was on a Saturday.
Fast forward to that Monday. I’m still in the hospital, they hadn’t released me. My boss calls and asks when I will be returning TO OFFICE. I worked hybrid, but I was expecting to be able to work remotely at least for the rest of that week to rehab. This was a major surgery. I had tried to bargain with them and say that I’d come in office once a week for now, I wasn’t able to drive a car due to loss of feeling. My boyfriend would have to drive me there and back and he works a fully in office job. My boss then states “I don’t know what we will do if you can’t return back at 3x per week”. That’s when I consult with my surgeon who then says that I will absolutely not be going back into office for 6 weeks my expected recovery time. My doctor discharged me on Tuesday afternoon and gave me the medical note.
I send that to my boss, who then calls me on Wednesday and says that if I cannot return to office in 2 weeks time my health insurance will be dropped and I will have to use COBRA to cover myself. At that point, I felt backed into a corner and said that was ok. I then spoke with my lawyer who said that it’s retaliation and told me to stand up for myself. I eventually spoke to my boss again and they decided to cut my pay, put me at part time and I could keep my insurance coverage. I was also permitted to work remotely.
I’d like to mention here that I always sent in my deliverables on time, never did I need an extension for anything. Honest to god they would ask for something and it would be completed and sent to them within 15 minutes. During my time there, I was able to mend vendor relationships and also get up to current 0 balances with all of them. I was also in the process of reducing our hiring costs (I work in HR) within 2 months of me taking control of our postings and recruitment, I had costs down by 16%.
So we get to my 6 week post op. The doctor didn’t clear me for work, I can’t sit up in a chair for much of any time. I still can’t drive, and I can’t use the restroom independently. Back surgery is no joke. The doctor did clear me to start PT but they said that once I get about a month or so into PT I’d be ready for office work. I send all of this information over to my boss, I am apologetic. I wanted to come back in office but unfortunately I’m not going to hurt myself in the process. I hear nothing back, from them for 2 weeks. Getting any response from them, even work related. It’s like pulling teeth.
Last week, I get a call from my doctor’s office stating that my boss called in and asked what official date I’d be back into work and some other non work related info. Mind you, I did not get permission, and I think my boss thought my doctor wouldn’t reach out to me. I send over a corporate level heated email, basically asking why they would go to my doctor instead of me. Again, no response. I don’t hear from my boss until today.
We’re finally in the present! Congrats for making it this far through the read. I get an out of the blue call from my boss. I pick up chipper, I knew something was up. My boss proceeded to tell me that I have until Monday to return to the office at a 3x per week status or I am fired. I’m floored. I ask, “who is going to assist me using the restroom at work?” Genuinely, I can’t use the restroom independently it’s a nightmare. They proceed to respond “you need to be in office by Monday”. Completely disregarding anything about my medical situation. I then become sarcastic and say “I am so sorry I had emergency spine surgery and my recovery is taking longer than expected. I can’t imagine how hard it’s been on you all.” Again sarcasm, I’ve been the one holed up in a house for almost 8 weeks. They proceeded to say about how I need to be in office and they don’t want to terminate me but they can no longer accommodate my medical issue. I basically tell them I’ll consult my doctor and physical therapist and let them know.
I’m going to be fired, there is no way I am returning to office yet, and against my medical accommodation. I’ve already contacted a lawyer. I just wanted to share this situation for a good laugh.

So i recently build a new PC for the first time in 10 years. Detailed specs can be found here. Basic Specs are as follows:

• i9-14900K (Intel specified limits, 400A, 253W, etc)
• ASUS z790-e Gaming Wifi II
• 96GB G.SKILL DDR-6800 (Workstation/gaming rig necessitated high RAM amout, so had to strike a balance with amount and speed)
• ASUS TUF RTX 4090 OC
• CORSAIR iCUE Link H150i LCD 360mm AIO
• Corsair HX1200i 1200W PSU

So i've run into relatively few issues with the build, booted first try (Sweet, 10 years and can still build 'em). But i have had a few issues. One, temps for the CPU are idling around 31-35 but randomly spike up to 67 in some cases for a few seconds. I've read this is fairly normal for the 14900K but just want to confirm that. Full load temps are around 75-80, and stress tests are capping around 86 at the 2-3 hour mark.
Secondly, i'm running cinebench to get a good idea where it stands and from my reading i expected to get a 36K-40K but i'm only getting around a 34K. I've also noted that when i'm running the test my CPU cores aren't being pegged at 100% use anymore (they were the first few times i ran it), they're hovering around 35-45% use. I'm not getting any thermal throttling that i'm aware of, all the P-Cores are steady at 5700Mz with two at 6000Mhz, and the E-Cores at 4400Mhz steady.
I went back and changed some of the CPU power settings, i kept the 400A and 253 watt limits but set all the other intel baseline settings back to auto. This upped my score by about 1000, but that's about what i expected and still under what i would expect for this build.
I've been out of the game for a while so i don't really have any idea where the bottleneck might be, or what bios settings or other environmental settings might be capping me out here. So does anyone have any general advice or things i might try? I upped the multipliers on all the P-Cores and got better results obviously, but i want to know why i'm not getting what i expect out of stock speed and need to OC to get to stock scores.
P.S. Extra fun: Under load in games all my USB ports are randomly disconnecting and reconnecting seconds later. This is quite annoying. From research i've narrowed the culprit down to the Corsair ICUE Link Control Modules that control the corsair RGB lighting components. Anyone have any experience with this, or with resolving it?

Season 2 Robby was, at least until Season 5, the most passive version of Robby we've seen yet. He embraced Miyagi-Do, was kind and sympathetic, and tried his best to avoid conflict, and help those around him avoid conflict. Season 4 Robby carried over a few of those traits, but he also wasn't afraid to establish his poweauthority with those around him through words/actions. He wasn't afraid to verbally/physically jab at Miguel, Hawk and even Kenny at times.
In Season 5, it felt like rather than having learned from the past 4 seasons and found a happy medium, Robby reverted completely back to his S2 self, and perhaps an even more passive, selfless version of it. It didn't work - his story arc mostly stagnated and most notably, Kenny still isn't on his side by the end.
Robby tried kindness with Kenny in Season 5 and it didn't work. Kenny kept rebelling and even hurt one of Robby's teammates. And now it looks like from the set photos that him and Kenny still aren't on the same side in Season 6, at least initially.
It's time for Robby to take a different approach: remind Kenny who trained him. Remind Kenny who came to him, snivelling and crying, about being bullied by Anthony of all people. Remind Kenny of what happened when he tried to step up to Robby at the All-Valley. Robby doesn't need to brutalize him like some weird, bitter Hawk fans feel like Kenny needs. But to at least let the claws show a little bit. It would represent a perfect balance between his Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai sides, as he would have exhausted non-confrontational options before starting to stand his ground.
And a Cobra Kai-Miyagi-Do balanced combination of Robby is exactly what Robby will need to win the Taikai as well.

I wanted to share something positive and wholesome that recently happened to me. I have a friend who has been very patient and gracious with me, despite the fact that I was being anti-social, pushing them away and being overly cautious. They still reached out, invited me and made the effort to build community together because of their inner value I also felt valued. You see in a city where needing money rules nearly everything, I believe it is easy to get lost and distracted from your inner value. As I reflected on the past year, I caught myself being hurt from past experiences and not letting it go and projecting it onto the present day. I was so cautious and afraid of being hurt I became critical and jaded, just assuming the worst in people and therefore not valuing others and also starting to devalue myself. This is a real problem I believe a lot of us are experiencing.
The way this friend had continued to persue a genuine friendship and look out for me really changed my view and I realized the power of personal value and making decisions that come from within, and being a faithful and trustworthy person. I knew deep down this is not me to be this depressed, and closed off from the world… and only thinking about money and work… the more I was protecting myself from getting hurt, I realized I hadn’t processed the pain of being lonely post-pandemic and only able to get social interactions except at work. My friend really proved to me the value of staying there beside your friends and caring about their well-being even if it looks like you have it all together.
I want to encourage someone who is fighting the good fight of balancing life-work-family while healing and trying to be different than the norm. I wanna say thank you to those who do things for others that don’t have a monetary value attached.
For a long time people have said B.C. Bring Cash, and while that may be true, while I live here I’m going to be committed to building community. Building community is different than just doing activities with safe people that you know. It is the little things that go a long way. And having recently been working on forgiving and forgetting bad experiences I’ve had in Kelowna I’m realizing the part I played in it as well.
The reason I’m posting this is because everyday I see people who look depressed, worn out, tired and lonely. Walking… on the bus… in their cars even. Yes, there is a Bring Cash culture here, there is a class war declared on the middle and lower class, there is an attitude of not needing anyone and wanting to be left alone… but I also see a lot of people who are very kind, and not cliquey or rude. I would say the majority of people I encountered are like that. And maybe I had missed it because of a few bad experiences and bad apples.
I really believe we have a community in Kelowna and this is as good a place to heal, as it is to do business. And taking responsibility for your own healing and paying it forward is part of the process.

Hello! This Saturday starting around 4:00 Central US (A small shift to start time might be fine) I will be hosting a oneshot. I need a few more players still and who knows, I might even run a second one if the first goes well!

Game Overview - A Normal Dwarven Company

You are all mercenaries for a dwarven mining company. The Shalayan Wastes remain an inhospitable ash and snow filled place where chaotic factions wage only wish to make life even harder. You’re underground and have been tasked with clearing out a small dungeon that your dwarven employers mined into, which is said to have some sort of powerful macguffin inside.
The catch: All of you have secret goals, and someone is certainly some sort of traitor. PvP is likely. This is a oneshot, but seriousness, roleplay, and playing to your assigned goals are important. Everyone will be assigned guidelines for character creation at random. You can request to have/not have certain kinds of guidelines (if you prefer to not play the traitor, for example), but you cannot tell the other players about this or the guidelines you are sent.
Players may receive similar guidelines, or all may be completely different. Your secret goals may align or they may not. For the best outcome, I recommend everyone focuses on the goals they’re given and balance that with surviving. You still need to fight through a dungeon and make it out alive.

Requirements:

• We will be communicating through Discord and playing on Roll20.
• This oneshot will be like a social deception game in D&D. Maturity and an understanding that others' fun still matters is important.
• This is both combat and roleplay orientated. You need to be comfortable with RP.
• We're going to play anywhere between 3 and 6 hours if all goes to plan. Be able to give the game attention for its entirety, save for a short break we will take during the middle.
