Waze not Centered after update
I've had Waze running on my car stereo system for years now. I hadn't updated Waze in a while but when I did I noticed my map is now all the way to the right when I'm stopped. This doesn't really matter but with auto zoom enabled and driving it regularly disappears off the screen, this kind of defeats the whole purpose of using a navigation system to begin with since I can't see where I'm going. Is there any way to fix this or should I just redownload my old version and call it a day?

2024.06.10 16:19 The_Lanester PC random hard crashes, resarts automatically but fans won't work.

Hi! Recently built a new PC in February this year. Here are the specs:
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/PRd8t7
I've had 0 issues with it up until last week where I was playing a game (temps were fine) and the PC just hard crashed and rebooted by itself. Upon logging back in I noticed the display on the NZXT cooler hadn't come on again and neither had any of the radiator fans or case fans. GPU fans were fine.
I opened the NZXT software and saw that it wasn't recognising the cooler or fans attached to it but it was still picking up the temps and clock speed.
I gave the GPU a driver update to the most recent one and then it behaved for a week before the same thing happened again to me today. The only way I can get everything to work properly again is to shut it down and remove the power plug and let it rest for about 15 mins before plugging it in again.
The temps are always fine (i've been closely monitoring) and something tells me it's something to do with the power draw but I've no clue, nothings changed in the last 4 months since I've built it, PC hasn't even moved for anything inside to come loose or anything.
Does anyone have an idea of what the issue here could be? I feel like all the hardware are very good and from reputable companies so wouldn't imagine its a hardware fault?
Any input is greatly appreciated!

2024.06.10 16:18 Main_District_3648 Medical WhatsApp messages!!

I’m a doctor and don’t know if this subject has been discussed before!! But why is it OK to send voice notes anytime of the day to seek medical advice..?! I mean why don’t people call.. now with this WhatsApp .. every single question whether it was dumb or legit has to be asked with a voice note.. I wake up in the morning and I find at least 7 or 9 notes from 3-4 different patients sent at 3 or 4 am.. and next day they call and say why you didn’t answer.. I have auto-reply stating not to depend on voice notes.. but no one reads… they just call next day and say why you didn’t answer .. it was an emergency.. hellooooo.. I was sleeping.. why didn’t you call.. ah.. well we didn’t want to bother you .. Just calll.. wake me up if it’s urgent I don’t mind.. I even saw in groups on my wife’s phone that if a doctor doesn’t reply on WhatsApp and doesn’t answer quickly.. they will change their doctor!! Really?! Are those people so lame that they don’t want to call and expect doctor to be on this phone all day!! I mean seriously.. I just wish WhatsApp will make an update to allow only call and disable voice notes .. Sorry for the long rant but Please people if you one those who communicates with everyone on voice note.. take into consideration that not all people prefer it.. rant OUT!! Thank you for everyone who read the whole thing!

GPU Overclock option don't exist in Vantage
Hi, I have a problem right now: The GPU Overclock option is no longer displayed under the Lenovo Vantage software - that was a different matter. I have a Legion 5 pro 16ACH6h. I reinstalled Windows today and reset the BIOS / UEFI, but that didn't help. Do you have any ideas
As an addendum, I can overclock the GPU via the UEFI, which is what I did, i.e. the settings that Lenovo suggested to me
for me, it looks something like this
but this is a screenshot from google i dont have Hybrid on

2024.06.10 16:11 Wish_I_was_you K1 Max issues since firmware update

Had my K1M since March. Out of the box it was 99% perfect every print.
Then I got the request to auto update the firmware. Continued to print fine but the camera stopped working about 50% of the time.
Next firmware update killed the camera and the lidar, and I started to get a few failed prints. Tried to back out the firmware to an older one with zero success. I'm sure the is operator error.
Now it won't extrude. At all. Can't get it to feed. Trying to avoid taking the hot end apart to look for a jam that I'm not certain is there.
Thoughts besides that I'm an idiot?

2024.06.10 16:10 Initial-Muscle-4937 DMV gave me previous exp dates

I went to the dmv today (I have my conditional green card now. I was previously in daca) to renew my drivers license with expires in a month. When I got my paper copy they gave me my old visas expiration date which is next month. The same as my license. They said my new status or dates haven’t been updated in their system? But I’ve had my green card for almost a year. What can I do? I live in Texas

2024.06.10 16:07 Zizouhimovic Been searching for a car that I can run the heater and sleep in during night ( without engine turing on regularly) + one that has a good self-driving feature. Looking for Non-EV. Price <60k USD but flexible.

Here is the story, I take trip into different cities and like to sleep in the back of the car instead of a hotel as the flexibility of relocation is extremely helpful to me, and costs are a lot less. So far I have been renting the Model Y and it met my needs almost perfectly. I'm spending a lot of time in the car during these trips for driving and sleeping. For some personal reasons, I have decided against going with EVs (they're lovely don't get me wrong).
Now what I liked about the Tesla was two main features: 1. I could run the camp mode at night and the car didn't need to keep turning on to run its heater. There was no constraints other than battery having enough charge. 2. The Self driving feature: Now while It was nice having it navigate in the city and stopping at lights and doing turns, My main comfort came on the highway. It has auto pilot/lane change/Adaptive cruise control and took exit automatically.
What I need:
A) A car I can sleep in which doesn't need its engine on to heat the interior. I would like sleep inside and don't want people outside to know the car is turned on. [side note: I'm not sure if I plug a PHEW in a charging station is a good idea during the time I sleep in the back.... ].
B) A nice self driving feature on the highway: hassle free ACC + extra assistance for exits/lane changes.
C) anti-theft: Teslas are not as desirable to be stolen as others. They also have a strong network which can make the car not usable for other drivers. I would like a car that is not that easy to be stolen lol.
D) overall a reliable car that can last and doesn't breakdown.

2024.06.10 16:02 The_DeiMisT Something seems to be choking my PC

So after a recent clean install of windows I started experiencing a weird graphical issue with one of my games, namely Fortnite.
Whenever I enter a match or game, I have have low fps and the game stutters. It also seems kind of grainy. However, when I switch from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen or vice versa, the game is crisp and smooth. Just to clarify, it's not that either fullscreen or windowed fullscreen runs better than the other, it seems like the switch itself is what fixes the issue as it works both ways. I also notice what sounds like the gpu working a bit more after switching. After switching, the game usually runs smoothly until I enter the next match, then it goes back to the way it was and I have to switch again. It has reverted back to the stuttering mid-match a few times, but not usually. The lobby itself is not affected and is smooth.
Another interesting thing is when I let the game auto select graphics setting in the stuttering state, before I switch, it sets most things to medium, but the stuttering isn't better. When I auto select after switching, when the game is smooth, it sets things to epic and continues to run smoothly.
It honestly just feels like something keeps choking the game or my pc and preventing it from running optimally when it loads a match.
Things I have tried to resolve the issue; Reinstalling Fortnite, with downloading streamable assests and without Verifying game files Installed on SSD Reinstalling Epic entirely. Updating Graphics Drivers Made sure that config file is not read only Disable fullscreen optimization Run as administrator Let windows run in high performance mode
All the other games I've tried are running well. I've only encountered it with Fortnite. I have spent so much time crawling the internet looking for a solution, this sub is my last hope.

2024.06.10 16:00 brunxrvmxs PC RESTART BY ITSELF (I doubt someone can solve it! lol)

Setup: I5 14600K ASRock B760M-H/M.2 2x 16GB Pichau Velvet 4800Mhz RTX 4060Ti 16GB SSD 1TB Asgard 7000Mbs Water Cooler 240mm Deep Cool LE500 Corsair CV750 Gabinete Montech X3 Mesh
PC was assembled by professionals without the SSD as it hadn't arrived yet. The SSD arrived (CrystalDisk showed 0 previous uses and 100% healthy) and I installed it alone, taking care not to touch anything on the board. Then it looked good, I installed Windows 10 on the SSD. I downloaded my stuff, installed drivers, etc. For 1 or 2 days it was 100% fine, until it restarted out of nowhere. As time passed (3~4 days), the restarts became more intense, in the sense that it did not work again after the first restart as in the beginning, it started restarting a few times in a row (one after the other). It also started not showing the image and I often had to restart 3 or 4 times until the image passed.
NOTE: During these intense restarts where sometimes I didn't even get to Windows and started restarting, I noticed that every time the PC turned off (to restart) an LED would light up, visually I don't know what it means, but there are 2 LEDs near my power button , a blue one when the PC is on and one that flashes red at the same time as the PC shuts down to restart again. This same LED blinked when the PC managed to maintain itself and reach Windows, would it be like the SSD?
These restarts were completely random, it could be in games, on the desktop. I ran AIDA64 and everything was ok, both in the CPU and RAM. Processor did not reach 70ºC in the stress test. Over time I noticed that every time passed image, the motherboard logo wasn't showing (as it normally showed before restarts), I couldn't get into the BIOS in any way. I removed the SSD, it showed the first image, I restarted several times and everything was fine, the motherboard logo even appeared again and I now had access to the BIOS again.
I put the SSD back in and for 1 day it seemed resolved, very stable, always showing the image, accessing BIOS normally, until it started to restart again, but not in that intense way, it continues to be random, but restarts once and then it comes back with video.
The Windows reliability history recognizes it as a hardware problem (live kernel event, I don't remember the code, maybe it was 1b0). I was surprised by the brief improvement after reseating the SSD, I suspected some defect, I disconnected it and left it in the bios, after about 3 hours of inactivity it restarted. In other words, the problem is certainly not the system and certainly not the SSD.
Apparently the BIOS is updated, I didn't find new versions to download on the AsRock website (in fact, the motherboard model didn't even appear in the BIOS update part, but ok) and the memories are already working at 4800Mhz, I just don't know the voltages of the comb, if that makes any difference.
UPDATE: Without the ssd conected, the PC restarted two times during the memtest.

2024.06.10 15:53 ItsJW531 How do I fix AMD GPU stutters in game? (As seen in this clip)

https://reddit.com/link/1dcm23b/video/549qhlvw0r5d1/player
I have tired to go the config files and set the "//Fraction of video memory usage to target" 65 as seen in some YouTube Videos but its still stuttering, I have also tried to set the Priority to High using Task Manager but still nothing changes. And yes it might look like a AMD Driver Update but its all up to date, Afterburner is on the top left so you can see my Usage, Temps etc. NOTE: This only happens when I play COD Cold War.. but does not stutter in any other game I play.

2024.06.10 15:30 ERP_Kaisa [Guide] How to force vertical resolutions or different aspect ratios onto PC version.

Edit: I celebrated too soon. Game crashes consistently when selecting skills. It appears to not crash if you auto skill, but that's not great.
Hello! I play on PC Windows 11 and I noticed some artwork being cut off due to the 16:9 forced aspect ratio. In turn, much of the art in this game gets cropped due to the pictures being more square ratio in nature. Apparently mobile doesn't have this issue. I've found a method that works reliably, but it takes a little fanagling.
Here's an example for Eris. (Last time I posted more revealing art and I got automodded)
16:9 ratio vs modified ratio of Eris
Video of window behavior before and after the fix
This is a big deal for certain artworks like Diana and Liatris.
What I tried that didn't work:
So what I think is happening is that the game cannot go under a certain aspect ratio. You can stretch it width-wise for ultrawide, but if you try to squish it, it cannot compress further than a 16:9 ratio
_____________________________________________________________________________
The Fix
The file to modify should be Assembly-Csharp.dll under Neowiz\Browndust2\Browndust2_10000001\BrownDust II_Data\Managed
MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP BEFORE ANY CHANGES
______________________________________________________________________________
Easy fix: Overwrite your Assembly-Csharp.dll with my own. Until I find the solution to the crashing issue, I'm removing this option
If that sounds sketchy to you, you can do it manually yourself in the steps below. Plus, I don't know if this gets rolled over when a patch happens
____________________________________________________________________________________
Manual fix: Using this tutorial: https://www.reddit.com/SteamDeck/comments/112kgso/reminder_you_can_force_1610_this_is_how_i_did_it/,
I managed to Hex edit the restriction away after modifying it to suit Brown Dust 2 on PC windows.
Except, I can't use the OKTETA software since it seems to be linux only, instead using [HxD](https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/)
  1. Open Assembly-Csharp.dll using HxD
  2. Using the find tool under search, go to the tab for Hex-values and search for 398EE33F. This is the hex value for 16:9 resolution. There should be two instances of it. There are no spaces when you input it. https://imgur.com/TqvS2dl
  3. When you find them, replace both of them with 0000083F, this is the hex value for 1:1 aspect ratio
  4. Save the file.
________________________________________________________________________________________
Results:
When you put the game in windowed mode using the shortcut alt + enter, you're now able to horizontally compress the window further than before. More than necessary in fact, which allows you to fine tune your own preference. Since I input the aspect ratio for 1:1, but manage to go beyond square and into portrait ratios, I suspect I changed something that just tore away the limit completely, letting you go whatever size you please.
Issues:
_________________________________________________________________________________________
TLDR: Find Assembly-Csharp.dll under Neowiz\Browndust2\Browndust2_10000001\BrownDust II_Data\Managed
Use a hex editor to change the two instances of 39 8E E3 3F (398EE33F) into 00 00 08 3F (0000083F)
or
Overwrite your Assembly-Csharp.dll with my own.
