I specialize in Advertising, Marketing, Graphic Design & Creative Direction. Most of my professional experience is in the beauty industry, but I don’t have a passion for being a “makeup artist” — I’m just an artist, in general.
Sometimes I feel like my work is too “artsy” to be taken seriously, but I really want a solid career in my field. Sometimes I’m embarrassed of the past projects I’ve done because they’re not very “corporate” looking and more on the niche side.

Ive done portrait photography, directing my own photoshoots and sourcing popular models in my city. I’ve done videography, social media marketing (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Wattpad, Tumblr) — on all of these platforms I’ve been able to gain loads of attention in a quick amount of time.
I’ve even done social media managing for friends and family and in just a weeks time their analytics will be over 100,000%
However, for most of my projects I’ve never officially monetized my skill.
Actually, I’ve started a niche YouTube channel 2 MONTHS ago and I’ve already got 5,000 subscribers and fully monetized. About 5 people have joined my Patreon to support ($20/Month I receive from this). I even created my first discord and there’s over 80 women there. This is the FIRST time I’m actually getting paid for what I KNOW how to do.
I decided to get a degree in Advertising & Graphic design. Since high school, I’ve been self taught with pretty much everything. I enrolled in community college (which is free, thank God) 2 years ago and I graduate next year.
I figured going to school and getting a degree would make people take me more seriously, but I feel like opportunities never arise for me— like I have to make them for myself, and even then it’s hard for me to get PAID.
I’m really great at what I do, but whenever I get hired somewhere, I’m bussing tables or flipping burgers. Thankfully, my mom allowed me to stay with her while I finish school — but there’s a lingering fear that all this work …

1. Day -6
   1. We fly to an isolated area so we can enter the warehouse without witnesses, to avoid any confusion
   2. According to the pattern my benefactor established, I should be due for another rule change and a gauntlet, so I check the lounge immediately
      1. There's no note on the door this time, and no one inside to speak with me, but there is a card on the coffee table:
      2. Indeed, there are now five envelopes, each describing a different gauntlet I could visit
      3. After a bit of thought, I opt for Fall Guys, as I can at least expect it to be quick and merciful, and affix the sticker to my jump tracking chart
   3. I turn my attention back to the biosphere teleport to the observation deck, and make note of what's changed in the last ten years
      1. At the macro level things seems to be similar - the islands are in the same places, but there is noticeably more going on in the factory complex
      2. With the end of the jump, the Zetan Mothership had warped into the extra-dimensional Big Garage, and the alien crew were occasionally filtering into the rest of the warehouse and biosphere area
      3. The Bards had built an amphitheater from a hill near the housing complex early on, and by now it had grown into a full-blown outdoor theater, with an excavated pit, curtain system, and similar facilities
      4. The biggest change had been on the islands assigned to the halflings, which were now full of farms, ranches, and workshops
   4. With a steady supply of fresh food now including cereals, fruits, seafood, and meat, they grocery preference was adjusted toward supplemental items like spices and unusual ingredients
      1. This time Pawl has some trained or programmed robots helping with the meal preparation - likely J-Borg's influence, but the meal is divine, and he even has been saving up shrimp from the warehouse grocery's plan to make a feast for the Zetans
2. Most of the team hasn't heard of Fall Guys before, but it's one of the 1500 or so games installed on the Game Room's servers
   1. We spend much of the week trying to come up with strategies for the various levels and challenges
   2. I don't tell the companions that the next batch of jumps will be partially my choice, but more than once I hear one of them say "It would be interesting to visit ..." or similar remarks, and I wonder if somehow they know, or I'm just sensitive to it now that I do
3. Day 1 of 60
   1. With the weird twisty feeling of a jump, and the sudden awareness of how much I am now lacking, I find myself in a throng of bean-people, some in costumes, watching a brief countdown before running a course of rotating platforms and knock-down bars
      1. I did ok in that first race, and even though I didn't finish first, I qualified to go to the next level
      2. After two levels, I failed to qualify in a team game sort of like basketball, and was kicked out of the match
   2. After the match, I was sent to a strange room
      1. The first things I noticed were areas that looked sort of like walk-in showers with glass doors I could open and step through, one labeled "next match" and one labeled "end day"
      2. But there was also a strange thing that seemed like a combination of dollhouse, wardrobe, and vending machine
   3. I had thought about it, and told myself that I'd devote my first day to learning my limits and getting used to my body and advantages, rather than just trying to win immediately
      1. This was good as my second match started with a team tail tag event, wherein my team seemed to have forgotten how to effectively run away
   4. After a few more matches (or maybe a lot) I had the hang of things, and finally got first place in a match 5. Figuring it best to end on a high note, I decided to try the "end day" option, which resulted in another trap door - leading to a bed perfectly suited for a pill, on which I instantly fell asleep
4. Day 2 of 60
   1. I woke up to my bed being gently tipped, resulting in me falling through, yes, another trapdoor, which somehow led back to my "green room" as I'd taken to calling it
      1. This time the greenroom had a new feature: A screen showing "59 days remaining", and a few stats about me and the competition
   2. I once again tried to focus on practice and calibration for a bit
      1. It seems like even my bodymod enhancements, which should give me great advantages in strength, speed, and reaction, had been significantly tuned down
      2. But I was consistently lucky in my starting position, and I seemed to fare better when getting knocked around, as well as judging jumps and dives
   3. This time I got my victory earlier - on my fifth match of the day
      1. But rather than "quit while ahead", I decided to try to grind through a bit more to see if I could improve my standing in point totals
5. Day 10 of 60
   1. I hate the Lost Temple
      1. It's not even a team event, where I expect suckage, it's just random bullshit
   2. And I hate my teammates
      1. I think it's intentionally pairing me with bots, or babies maybe? It's hard to tell
   3. But through perseverance, I have managed to get myself into the top 5% of scorers for the season
   4. I learned that the scoreboard screen has more functions
      1. I can see a history of my games and watch replays, and see the names of other players involved, plus get some more stats about myself and the season
   5. I tried a few goofy outfits, but I have mostly been wearing the plain blue bean-condom - I just don't feel comfortable in the weird ones with lots of parts flailing around
6. Day 30 of 60
   1. I wake up and check the leaderboard - it seems unchanged from last night
      1. It seems most players only play a few matches per day, and I spent a fair amount of time yesterday reviewing replays
      2. I barely need to sleep, but I think the others need it more
      3. I'm still in 7th place - I'm trying to keep the gap between me and #1 narrow, but not so much as to make the top 3 feel the need to play even more matches
   2. I start my first match of the day - it seems to be only slightly different than the first map I played on day one: spinning platforms resembling propellers, with spinning bars
      1. I yield the lead to a random, but keep pace with him while blocking anyone behind me as well as I can
      2. I dive to tackle the leading bean, right as he should be jumping to avoid the obstacles
      3. The bar hits us both and we go flying - the rando off to the side, and I manage to fly directly over the next moving platform, saving myself precious seconds
      4. With a sizeable lead, I race over the rolling logs, dodge the swinging hammers just on time, and hit the finish line - first again
   3. After that match, I spend some time reviewing games - my own mistakes, but also the play style of the rest of the top 10, I know that as the season comes to a close, I'm going to have to make a run for their leads, and they won't want to give them up easily
7. Day 45 of 60
   1. I drop into my green room and see I'm still #7, and the gap is still manageable
   2. I play matches constantly today - starting each as soon as I'm able
      1. I'm curious about how it builds the rosters for each match, and trying an experiment
   3. I play for hours, grateful that my body and mind don't tire like most people
      1. The Temple and team events still frustrate me, but I'm not going for first place today, not pulling out my best tricks, and the shear number of matches nets me a sizeable amount of kudos
   4. After some ridiculous number of matches, I notice some strange trends
      1. In team matches, the enemy teams now seem to be as bad as mine
      2. My competitors also don't seem to be really trying to win - a larger portion of them seem to be just charging ahead heedless of obstacles, which makes the rounds take much longer to finish
      3. More noticeably, I spend far longer waiting after being washed and dressed, presumably as the system finds enough competitors for a match
8. Day 46 of 60
   1. I don't even start a match when I wake up - the leaderboard has me at #4, which is where I stopped my "grinding" yesterday for fear of sparking a trend of even more matches per day
   2. Instead, I study the replays of the games from yesterday
      1. I wasn't fooling myself - after a while, the quality of competition dropped sharply
      2. And it seemed like the pool of competitors was even early in the day, and skewed toward the bottom quartile more as the day dragged on
      3. Even those players weren't quite playing their usual way though - well, some were extremely consistent but some weren't
      4. It makes me wonder if it's waking them up from sleep to fill a match, or some of them are bots or simulations, or something else
9. Day 60 of 60
   1. The end-of-season race heated up despite my efforts to not cause it so
   2. The day drags on, and I keep myself at #4 by alternating between games and watching replays
   3. Eventually I see that the updates are becoming less frequent, and go into action, starting to play in earnest
      1. I easily qualify through the first rounds, even carrying my team through Hoarders despite themselves
      2. The game announces the final round, and the countdown starts at 3...
   4. I unleash - taking full advantage of my positional superiority, my unmatched timing, my freakish ability to land where and how I want, and most importantly, my endurance
      1. I'm trying to build an insurmountable and intimidating lead
      2. I know the playstyle, preferred outfits, and rough ranking of each of the 300 competitors in my group this season
      3. After rigorous testing, I've determined that I still have an ever so slight advantage in straightaway speed and jump distance over my competitors - the benefits of my body mod being compressed so as to be almost unnoticeable, but not completely wiped out
   5. The gap between me and #2 is now the same as the gap between #2 and #9 - but I see that others in the top ten at least are still gaining points even as the day wanes on
      1. I keep going all-out, not winning every match as luck and teammates interfere, but consistently qualifying and gaining Kudos to maintain and grow my lead
   6. I get placed in a match with #2, the former #1, "Alan", if the Sorcerer skin he prefers is really him
      1. I don't need the points right now, so I target him - blocking and tackling him at every opportunity, getting us both eliminated
      2. Then I do it again in the next match
      3. When he drops to #3 I go back to exploiting my small but meaningful advantages and rack up some more points
   7. And I keep going, even longer than I did on Day 45 - switching between building my lead and tormenting the runners up
   8. And then, when I step into the "Next Match" tube for the 42nd time that day, the trapdoor slide drops me into the entrance hall of my warehouse, dumping a certificate of achievement and a heap of bean-fitting clothes on my head

Notes on the Jump Doc

1. I came in having seen the game played, but not tried it myself. Fortunately there lots of recordings and forum posts about the game
2. The perk descriptions were brief and straightforward, which I like
   1. It would be nice if they had a bit more description of how to apply in other settings, but most are pretty self-explanatory
   2. There's not a lot of options here - just a few perks and no items, but that's appropriate for a gauntlet focused on this particular game. If you want something more broad and extensive, this probably isn't the gauntlet (or videogame) for you
   3. I could see a non-gauntlet version including more for other game modes and such, but I don't think it would really be an improvement
3. Similarly the drawbacks and prizes were quite clear, if also not very numerous
   1. Speaking of the prizes, I liked the tiers / options
4. Coming in at nine pages, this is a short but not too short description of the gauntlet
5. The one area I would have liked a bit more elaboration on is how the gauntlet interacts with existing bodymod improvements
   1. I chose to almost completely negate the physical improvements, because they would have been too much in this gauntlet
6. Overall, this is what you'd expect
   1. if you're into Fall Guys, go for it
   2. If you want a low-stakes gauntlet with a fixed short duration, this is perfect
   3. The 400 point perk (Mulligan) isn't something I've seen elsewhere, so that might be another reason to take this

As a Fall Guy, you are a short, squat humanoid, with a jelly bean-shaped body. You have a limited amount of body control, generally waddling around and occasionally jumping, but you have a ridiculous amount of durability, easily capable of handling being smacked hard enough to fly through the air, or surviving a long fall while landing on your head with nary a scratch. Your face consists of just a pair of eyes, with the rest of your body generally wrapped up in some sort of costume, though you are still capable of making sounds and even eating while spectating, though the actual method is... unknown. However, you don’t strictly need to eat or drink or even sleep. You might get a bit loopy without rest, but that isn’t a big change from how most Fall Guys act. You do lose access to Perks and Items and such from prior Jumps while you are here.

Kudos For You! (Free)
While you are here, any Episode that you compete in will earn you Kudos, the main form of currency used by Fall Guys. The farther you get in an Episode, the more you will earn, and if you do things that are particularly impressive or awesome looking, you’ll get a bit more. This currency can be used to purchase a variety of things, primarily cosmetic changes for your individualized outfit, but it is also used in day-to-day life of the Fall Guys as well for things like snacks or souvenirs.
Front Of The Pack [100/900 CP]
It can be difficult when your starting position is randomly set to the back corner of the starting area, meaning everyone else has a chance to run forward before you can even get going. Now, you will always be positioned at the front and in the general middle, giving you the best position for starting out. In future Jumps, this will translate to a similar bonus in other competitions, helping to place you in an advantageous position before the contest starts.
Timing [100/800 CP]
Frequently, the difference between success and fall-ure in the competition is split-second timing. You now have a clear grasp of timing, being able to accurately judge how quickly you are capable of moving, the timing cycles of various obstacles, and when you need to jump or dive to avoid them.
Awareness [200/600 CP]
It is like you have eyes in the back of your head. Or maybe a ‘third-person awareness’. You can sense when something is happening outside of your field of vision, and respond appropriately.
Like A Cat [200/400 CP]
Oops. You stepped wrong, and now you are hurtling through the air like a sack of sand that thinks it’s a duck. Luckily, you’ll somehow manage to land on your feet. Anytime that you end up falling or flying through the air, you’ll be able to right yourself so you can land on your feet, absorbing the impact so you can keep waddling towards the finish line, and you’ll be able to slightly direct your momentum while you are in the air to land at the point you intended. Highest Kudos Consolation Prize (Free)
Less of a consolation prize and more of an alternate win method. In short, if you have managed to gain the most Kudos of any other competitor during this current season (don’t worry, there is a scoreboard that can allow you to check how you are ranking up), then you can win this version of the prize. You don’t get a full slider, but you do have a permanent and significant boost to your luck. All sorts of minor events will go your way (rain stopping nearby when you don’t have an umbrella, getting to a bakery just in time for the last ‘everything’ bagel, etc). It is still possible for you to fail through concerted effort by others or your own complacency, but it won’t happen just from random chance.

This is a pocket dimension, filled with pink slime and having several floating platforms and blocks that can be rearranged into the shape of obstacles. You are capable of freely reshaping the space and structures within here, though nothing inside can be taken out. You can use this to host your own version of Ultimate Knockout, with anyone who enters this space gaining a Fall Guy form while they are here. This space can connect to your warehouse, or can be linked up to a colorful door that you can insert somewhere in any future Jump.
Sixty Win Consolation Prize (Free)
So, you missed out on victory on a few days, but you still managed at least sixty wins overall. So, you now get a limited version of the prize. Effectively, you can pick any one single discrete project or product that you develop during a given Jump (or every 10 years post-Spark), and have it be a runaway success. All other projects will succeed or fail on their own merits. As before, if you win the highest prize, you can pick between the full Midas Touch, or the limited consolation version.

Drawbacks

Shifting Events [100/500 CP]
Normally, events will remain the same between Episodes, with only maybe hidden obstacles changing their position. Now, however, things will change between events. Maybe an obstacle will have the order of obstacles changed, or there will be swinging pendulums replacing spinning bars in a section. Events will never look quite the same twice in a row, so you and your competitors won’t simply be able to rely on a ‘standard’ approach to win.
Oof! [100/600 CP]
Well, you might not get injured, but unfortunately, you do still have a sense of pain. It isn’t crippling (falling off a building and landing on your head would leave you seeing stars for a few seconds, before the pain vanishes), but it could be distracting during an Episode.
Worst Event [100/700 CP]
There is this one event that you absolutely hate doing. You find it annoying, demeaning, a waste of time. But, unfortunately, it will show up in over 80% of the Episodes you compete in. Better get used to gritting your possibly non-existent teeth.
Incompetents [300/1000 CP]
On occasion, the events that you will undergo will split you into teams with your fellow competitors, forcing you to work together or you all fail. Sadly for you, your teams always seem to be below average in performance. Uncoordinated and unskilled, they will require you to put in a lot of effort to ‘carry’ them to victory, and team events will show up at least every other Episode you compete in, if not more often.

I've been working on a solo album for about 3 years now, and since then I've wanted to call it "When The World Comes Down." However, this album title has already been used from a punk rock album from 2008. My cover art is not at all similar and the songs are EDM/Pop. I don't want to run into any copyright issues, and I know nothing about this so I figured I'd get some help from people who know more about this than I do. It seems there isnt any other albums with this title, but they do get very close. "When The World Comes Crashing Down" "When The World Comes Falling Down," etc. I dont think When The World Comes Down is a very specific name, so I figured maybe It'd be alright? Will I be okay?

I looked over the datapad, eyes glancing up at the human as he bent over my shoulder, leaning on the desk as he examined the datapad with me.
“Well,” I informed [Him? I believed it to be him], “for the Pilshan, you’re going to need the elevator buttons to have thermal-carved labels on the sides. NOT on the buttons themselves, you’ll risk a temperature cascade.”
“Got it,”
“The M’lekki need a room with 1.5e barometric pressure to avoid expansion beneath the membrane, one on every floor, and they have to spend two hours in for every one out.”
“Does it have to go at exactly an hour, or can we divide that up? Say, half an hour from fifteen, then three from one and a half?”
"Two from one is recommended, but it's intentionally under the limit. You can go as far as four from two, but after the first hour and a half you’re safest adding an additional fifteen for every ten. It’s not in the regulations, four from two should be safe in the short term, but-”
“On top?”
“Yes.”
“So 4:45 from two, got it... Let’s round that up to 5, makes scheduling easier.”
“Er.... Alright. And then the Proxx...”
“Yes?”
“Well,” I stood up straighter to align my vocal resonators, “Mobile Priiin-4 water tanks, it has to be imported, the necessary micro-organisms don't breed off-planet. Nitrogen air masks in every room, regular rubdowns with Priiin-4 mud, imported again, thermovision contacts with real-color markings, warnings on the door to any room with a temperature over CM 21-70, one ice tank per employee, blood meters to check nutrients once every half hour, and subdermal temperature implants in the head and torso, as well as one on each extremity.”
“Phew,” the human shook his head, “Not exactly cheap to have around, are they?”
“I’m afraid not.”
“Well, that one’ll take a while to set up, I’ll have to look at my work schedule to make sure they’re not here before we’re ready.”
“You... Could just have them wear exosuits...?” I suggested timidly.
“‘Not a chance,” he answered, “They’re just gonna have to hold off on their first day. Bit tricky since I have to figure out how to pay them for work not done.”
“Yes... Exosuits are cheaper, though.”
“Nah, it’s not the money thing,” he answered, fingers scratching at his jaw, “Just need to figure out how I’ll calculate profit split on stuff they don’t work on. I guess I could figure out the median and give them that...”
“I’m...” I ran my pincers along the datapad, “I’m not sure profit splits are necessary, you should be able to give them base pay if they have profit splits in the contract.”
“Nah, nah,” the human answered, “Not their fault they’re not at work, not gonna give them any less than they woulda made anyway. That’d be unfair.”
I clacked my mandibles in agreement, even if it was a ridiculous comment. Given how little we actually needed to use money FOR between the free housing, food, and both legal and medical attention from the Interstellar Union Central Committees, I doubted anyone would even notice the money being short for a few months, much less object. Still, I knew better than to argue with a human about employment contracts. There had been a few centuries in their past collectively known as ‘The Labor Wars,’ and it had left a mark on the terran psyche. The upside was that everyone knew if you were lucky enough to work for a human, you’d be taken care of. The downside was this sort of obstinacy, dedication to regulations hardly used outside of human office buildings. Or, sometimes, human archaeological projects with a business run off the top floor.
“Look, human, I understand concerns about comfort, but this is really excessive. I know your species are long lived, but there have been incredible advances in exosuit comfort and maneuverability just in the last three years. I can assure you, nobody will object to you simply providing them with suits. This is very generous of you, but it’s getting excessive, and we’re only halfway through the list. You have five Amkra on payroll, and each one of them is going to cost you 8,000 Credits for just the barebones requirements.”
“And if I want to get them something good?”
“You could be looking at 20,000 each, and an additional 50,000 to give them a retreat room.”
“Well, no shortage of rooms in this old girl are there?” The human laughed, knocking on the wall with a thud. It was true, whatever this ship was originally, it had needed a lot of rooms. Several hundred were already usable, and there was still excavation going on under our feet. Wall carvings which seemed to be ship schematics implied we might only be seeing the top 25% of the ship. It was hard to know how deep it went.
“Yes, ah, a girl, human?”
“Nah, I’m a boy. Er, a male, if the translator’s wonky. A boy with a name, by the way.”
“Acknowledged, unfortunately our translators tend not to differentiate between words and names...”
“That’s fine. Name’s Pete, but I’m just as good with Rocky if that’s what’s going to come out.”
“Ahhh, yes, thank you... Rocky. And I wasn’t asking for you. Why did you assign a gender to the ship?”
The human gave one of their characteristic mirthful barks, “Now, are you asking me for about two thousand years of linguistic history on that one? Or do you just want the short answer.”
“Short answer is acceptable.”
“Just a thing humans do.”
Right. That tended to be the answer to a lot of questions where humans were concerned. It was just a thing they did. They tended to just do a lot of things, and most of the time if you asked five humans to explain it you got seven answers. Their religions were the same. There were some where it was said the only way to truly learn about the stories was by overhearing believers arguing about the details.
“Well, anyway, we’re just getting started on this and my workday ends in ten minutes, so if you don't mind, I need to take a moment to delay my house's welcome s-"
“Absolutely not. I won’t hear of it.”
“It really isn’t a bother, I normally wouldn’t have mentioned, but with this many species on your list, it could easily take the rest of tomorrow and into the next day.”
“Hey, I ain’t going anywhere, long lived like you said. I should have another 45 years on me minimum.”
“Right. If you are certa-”
“Absolutely,” He gave a conspiratorial smile, “But... If you want, I can shuttle you back to your place. We won’t be able to cover the changes needed off-ship, but I won't mind if you put in for overtime anyway.”
“Ahhh, that would be kind, but I wouldn’t want to interrupt your work.”
“Nah, I’m still setting stuff up, I can take the time off. Where you live?” He asked, grabbing an overcoat and rebreather from a nearby hook.
“It’s quite a ride away, I don’t know how long it will take, so...”
Rocky turned slowly, and sat down on across the desk, “Now Miss Kalzi - Lovely name by the way, sounds Italian, beautiful part of my planet - I’m glad you’re not wanting to bother me. But this is my business and Rocky ain’t short for Rockefeller. If I stop seeing myself as part of the society and start seeing myself as, well, the sort of person who can’t be bothered to make life easier for someone... Well, there should be plenty of human history explaining what could happen. On the other hand, I know us humans are some of the more physically gifted species out here, and though I’m not in the best shape, I’m big even for one of us. And I don’t want to make you uncomfortable. So, let me just ask you this directly. Are you saying you don’t want to bother me because you are worried about me? Or do you not want a ride home and you’re trying to be polite? Because if that’s the case, I’m not offended if you would rather go home on your own.”
I considered the question for a moment, vestigial wings fluttering softly under the chitin on my back. It wasn’t... Entirely either one of those. The first seemed a little excessive, and the second...
“Do humans do that?”
“What?”
“The polite thing?”
“All the time,” he smiled, “But I’m guessing it wasn’t that?”
“I just...” I struggled with how to express the idea, our labor history was so different from theirs. There had never been the competition that characterized the Labor Wars on earth, that idea, like so much of their species, seemed nearly impossible to associate with a race that had ascended to the stars, “I don’t feel like it is... My place to... Impose?” I suggested.
“Nonsense!” The human barked again, and motioned with his hands, a snap followed by pointing at me with three fingers curled, one extended, and one raised, “Lady, I contracted you for the inspection, getting you here and home is on me anyway. You did factor transport into the contract cost, right?”
“Ahhh... Well, I only charge a flat rate, public transit is cheap...”
“Cheap ain’t free,” he answered, “Lemme know how much ya paid when ya get here tomorrow. In the meantime, I’m happy to get out of this old rustbucket anyway. Everyone needs to stretch their legs sometimes. Well, I suppose not the M’lekki, but you get my drift. It’s not an imposition, just gimme a spot near your house and I’ll take you right over.”
“...Should I not simply tell you where my home is?”
“Well, sure,” he smiled, “If you’re comfortable with that. But I can drop you off a while away if it makes you feel safer.”
“...I could tell you to drop me off at the transit station, you know,” I suggested, antenna raising slightly. I was satisfied to hear another mirthful sound, lower than the barks, a bit like a pair of near chokes in succession. It somehow felt more... Meaningful. My wings fluttered even more at the success of my joke.
“Well, you could do that, sure,” he acknowledged, “But then we’d be back where we started with me feeling like I pressured you into something.”
“Oh, I don’t want that!” I quickly corrected, “It was a humorous suggestion, really.”
“It sure was,” he bared his teeth pleasantly, and gave me another snap-and-point, “Tell you what, just send me whatever address you want, I’m happy to take you wherever you’re going.”

Deployment

I deployed my function using the VS Code Azure Functions extension.

Issue

After deploying, I only see the Function App in the Azure portal but not the individual functions. The functions do not appear to be recognized or listed under the Function App. Here are a few things I have checked/tried: - Ensured correct directory structure - Verified the function.json file for each function - Checked the logs for deployment errors - Confirmed that FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME is set to node

This is a very long post, and i did my best to try and ensure it isn’t just a big wall of text.
So, I (19F) just got home from the ICU (monitored for just under 2 days) after experiencing a post tonsillectomy bleed, it was probably the most medically traumatic event I’ve ever experienced. It would be nice to talk about, but the last thing I want to do is scare people who just got their surgery/folks on a wait list/anyone thinking about getting them removed. I cannot stress enough that a post surgery bleed has about a 2-4% chance happening, and the severity of my case was ridiculously rare, it’s almost comical that it even happened in the first place and it’s been tacked on to my track record of just having absolutely horrible luck with everything.
With that being said, I suppose this warrants a trigger warning, if you think this story is going to scare you out of getting a tonsillectomy, please do not read it. and if you experience a bleed that lasts more than five minutes (and only continues to get worse) GO TO THE HOSPITAL (i guess im also speaking from the perspective of someone with universal healthcare but, still). This is a very long story of the procedure itself, my healing, and my experience in the ICU. I have been home for about 24h now, and I’m feeling a lot better than I have in the previous days and, I also have a newfound appreciation for just being alive and being able to carry out basic bodily functions like breathing. This experience has completely curbed any sort of suicidality that previously plagued me, i love living, thank you very much.
TW for lots of blood talk, anaesthesia awareness, and just some general medical morbidity, it’s a little difficult for me to categorize.
May 30th, 2024 (Day 0) I have my surgery around 9:00am this day. I went in for an adenotonsillectomy, palatoplasty (reshaping my cleft palate), and a bilateral inferior turbinate reduction (removal of some tissue in my nose). just freeing up a whole lot of space inside my face to reduce congestion and possible infection sites. pre op prepping was a pain because i’m very small and i was so dehydrated that they kept blowing out my vein. 3 attempts to start an IV before the procedure, but the surgery itself went very smoothly.
As I was being transported back to recovery, my IV fell/ripped out so when they were pushing the pain meds before I woke up they weren’t actually being administered. I woke up in quite a bit of pain, they didn’t know why until they took off my IV dressing and there was fluids spilling all over my arm. Queue seven more attempts to get an IV in me, I’m just begging for subcutaneous meds at this point but they’re saying that my blood pressure was dropping too fast so I needed IV fluids so I just let them go at it, it was decently agonizing though, but i know it wasn’t necessarily anyone’s fault that my veins kept blowing out every time they tried to push fluids.
They eventually drugged me up pretty good so i wasn’t mad anymore, i was sent home with T3s, Tramadol, Zofran and some antibiotics.
May 31-June 5th (Days 1-6) These days were quite hellish for me, in those five days since i got out of the hospital i probably got about 20 hours of sleep and I had lost quite a bit of weight (weight i couldn’t afford to lose, my chronic-tonsil-induced illness has heavily contributed to my chronic weight loss, can’t keep anything on because im sick every single month). I stuck to liquids, ensure, soups with bone broth base, smoothies, applesauce, i got some noodles down at some point too, and mashed potatoes. I had no issue powering through the pain of drinking water and gatorade, (and to get my pain meds down too) i knew i needed electrolytes and hydration more than anything. But by day five (and it seems this is a very common sensation) it felt like I was perpetually swallowing razor blades. I really just felt so physically and emotionally drained at that point, I went to bed decently early on the night of the fifth.
June 6th, 02:45 (Day 7) I wake up choking on my own blood, I immediately call my mom who was staying at her partner’s house, and wake up my boyfriend who lives with us, and we drive to the closest hospital which is three minutes away (convenient for timing, but notorious for horrendous medical attention/lack thereof). I am actively losing blood over the course of four hours, my mom went home around 4 am because she had not slept in 24 hours and my boyfriend left around 5am because he had to go to work. So I was there alone, still losing blood, unsupervised in a curtained room where no one could see me. I was told I would be seen within the next half hour as my mother was leaving.
After a while of anxiety i stumble out into the hallway and (guiltily) lose my absolute mind on a nurse because this has been a horrible excuse for medical attention, by the time i see a doctor (around 6:30AM) it had clotted. they did nothing. gave me IV saline, did blood work, sent me home, i had lost approximately 3 cups of blood at that point, but my morale was so low and i had no one to advocate for me there so i really just wanted to go home.
June 6th, 10:30 (Day 7) I got home, felt pretty chipper because they loaded me up with electrolytes which, if you’ve had iv saline, you know it can make you feel pretty awesome and energized for a while. I wasn’t in any particular amount of pain, so i decided to do some chores and start my terrarium project that i gathered supplies for before my procedure so i wouldn’t go crazy twiddling my thumbs at home (i’m a very work oriented person, i like to keep myself distracted.)
The moment I got home, something was telling me NOT to sleep despite being completely exhausted mentally, but physically i felt quite good. Deep cleaned my bedroom, fed all my critters (fish+amphibians), got my first stage of my terrarium building done that i need to wait 24h to set, so i make some bone broth soup, and finally lay down for a nap, here’s two mistakes, i wasn’t nearly as elevated as i should have been and i had also been occasionally taking advil when my pain got far too intense (with my ENT’s permission).
June 6th, 18:30 (Day 7, still) I wake up choking on my own blood again, but it’s far more intense this time. I can quite literally hear the blood surging out of me, it was essentially spurting. I stumble into my mom’s room holding the lining of my bedroom garbage can, and we race over to the hospital again. We didn’t want to return to the same hospital i was at earlier, but it was rush hour and we were worried we weren’t going to make it anywhere else in time, and i could always be transferred via ambulance. it was BAD.
I'm immediately triaged because i begin vomiting blood since i swallowed so much of it, when experiencing vomiting they give you these litre sized plastic bags so they can essentially monitor the volume, i filled three of them completely and continued to throw up in a garbage can next to me once they realized monitoring volume was pointless and I was losing blood way too fast, i only have like 3 and 1/2 litres of blood to begin with. I was becoming incredibly tachycardic, and their bright idea was to give me epinephrine to stunt the bleeding, my heart rate reached 185/90, it felt like my chest was going to explode. at that point im scared, angry as hell because im hopped up on adrenaline and incredibly panicky. they start blood transfusions and quickly realize i need to be transferred to the better hospital in my city (thank GOD, i honestly kind of felt like those people were going to kill me).
They informed me they were going to intubate me prior to transportation in case anything happens while we’re in the ambulance, and to get me into the OR as fast as possible. Here’s the problem, when you’re being sedated you’re supposed to be given a concoction of drugs, an anaesthetic, a paralytic, and a painkiller, at the very least. they only gave me ketamine. I was completely aware the entire time, i could feel everything, hear everything, just paralyzed. So im laying there, in a k-hole while im having tubes shoved down my throat.
Being aware for the intubation process was the most horrible thing i have ever experienced and i already had a fair amount of medical trauma prior to this, it feels like you’re being buried alive. you feel the machine take over but you can’t actually feel the gas exchange so it just feels like you’re slowly suffocating and there’s nothing you can do, i’ve never felt so hopeless in my life. Side note: I was cautiously labeled “difficult airway”. Intubating me in the first place is difficult (mostly due to the size of available equipment), much less in an active trauma situation, aside from the mental panic of feeling like i wasn’t breathing it was also just incredibly painful.
At one point a cord ran over my eyelid and lifted it so I could see my surroundings, so i started rapidly moving my eyeball around, that was the only bodily control i still had. but to no avail, no one noticed. the ketamine made me bradycardic (my poor heart going through the ringer, dipped down to 90/50), and the usual giveaway that you’re awake is that your heart rate will skyrocket but since they loaded me up with all that ketamine it completely depressed my cardiovascular system.
At this point i am fully prepped and in transport, my mom rides in the ambulance with me and right as i was about to go into the OR (i had been trying as hard as i could the entire time to move something, ANYTHING) i managed to hit my hand on the bed a few times and my mom absolutely lost it when she realized i was still awake, that was my only saving grace but honestly i would’ve rather gone through the cautery and few sutures awake than the intubation. that is the one thing i truly can’t stop thinking about, is how horribly painful and terrifying that experience was. after this point i am properly sedated and taken into emergency surgery to cauterize the bleeding vessel and add extra sutures as a precaution.
June 7th, 06:00 (Day 8) I wake up in the ICU, still intubated with my hands tied to the hospital bed, understandably (so you don’t rip out the intubation the moment you wake up). I was confused and scared but the charge nurse noticed i was awake after a couple minutes of me tapping my fingers against the bed rail. The first thing I ask for is a pen and paper, i can’t stand not being able to communicate. At this point I was decently loopy, they had me on a fair amount of dilauded, but over the course of 15 ish minutes i managed to sweet talk her into taking the restraints off after repeatedly promising to not touch the intubation, it was killing me though.
I was treated like an anomaly, it was really nice actually. I had zero responsibilities whatsoever, and I was a pretty big treat for the ICU nurses since they’re used to the most fragile of the fragile, and most people are pretty (reasonably) grumpy but i was just elated to be alive. I was rather cheery and jokey, very compliant and didn’t complain about anything because… what’s the point? you’re just trying to help me, no matter how uncomfortable it might be. I kept getting visits from various nurses from the unit, i kind of felt like a class pet.
They did my chest X-rays while i was still asleep, I had a bit of fluid in my lungs but the respiratory therapist was confident I’d be able to cough it out myself (plus i was begging for the thing to be taken out). They were nervous because my oxygen levels were only around 70, we all theorize at that point my body was just rejecting equipment because they became dislodged in my throat so we needed a quick removal anyways (i also accidentally pushed my catheter halfway out too, my body was not happy), the moment they took the intubation out my oxygen levels shot up to 100, it felt like the clearest breath i’ve ever taken in my entire life and my nurse told me that in her whole career she has never seen someone’s oxygen levels improve so drastically after intubation removal (ICU nurse things i suppose). It felt so good to just breathe.
After I was awake for a while my team came to meet me (the emergency surgeon, RT, nurses and physiotherapists). Upon my arrival the prior night after the surgeon went through my chart and realized I was only given ketamine for sedation at one point, I was put into the m&m category. Which is a rather cute name for something so macabre, it stands for mortality and morbidity. obviously i’m not dead, but i had a very morbid and traumatic experience, i was offered psych support but honestly? the whole experience just gave me a greater appreciation for my basic bodily functions. needless to say the staff at the better hospital were less than impressed with my prior medical treatment and told me they’d be pressing to speak to someone about it, which is relieving.
June 7th, 10:30 (Day 8) At this point I’ve just been trying to nap, occasionally chatting with some nurses as I get continual visitors (it was incredibly funny to me, i felt very loved and cared for) I hadn’t been able to eat due to the scratchiness, honestly the post-intubation pain was way worse than what i was feeling from the cauterization. My mom comes to visit me and brings me some nice slippers and my housecoat and a few other care items, and i ask if she has a photo of me from yesterday. She did, and I’ve never seen myself look so fragile, it might be a little dark but i’m just going to hold onto that photo to remind myself that i am so grateful to be generally healthy, yes i have a couple physical disabilities that do hinder me quite a bit sometimes, but i’m not medically fragile and this was a big wake up call for me, it gave me motivation to actually start taking care of myself.
Later in the day my two friends and boyfriend came to see me, all bringing me some treats. I begged them to smuggle me food, i have ARFID and despite having a big change in attitude about life in general……. i can’t get past my food aversions lol, plus hospital food is just nasty 90% of the time. Getting up to walk felt strange, which… was fair because i found out i actually ended up losing a little under 2/3 of my blood volume, not all consecutively of course or id definitely be dead but they went through four units of blood, two litres. when they told me that it really put into perspective for me how close i was, class 5 hemorrhaging is categorized as a “preterminal event”.
The rest of my hospital visit was pretty normal, they kept me until my hemoglobin levels were back to normal, I was discharged June 8th around 12:00, went home and proceeded to eat my weight in food. I’ve never felt so hungry, and i’m doing the same thing today (June 9th) because I woke up with a voracious appetite. I’m relieved, despite it being an all around terrible experience it’s given me an entirely new outlook on life and, i actually have an appetite again so I have a lot more hope around the notion of me being able to finally gain some weight. Im happy, i’m healthy, and my tonsils are gone.
Somewhat entertaining side note: this whole fiasco is how my mom found out i have my nipples pierced (grand reveal as i was getting my clothes ripped off for surgery prep), she was NOT happy and it was the first thing she brought up when she saw me conscious the next day, she’s ridiculous, but i love her.
TLDR: Experienced a post tonsillectomy bleed which resulted in me losing about 2/3 of my blood volume, experienced something arguably akin to medical malpractice (?) i don’t think that’s quite the right term but it was certainly incredibly irresponsible. Scared the shit out of me and now i have a very overwhelming appreciation for the most basic things in my life. My coworkers keep joking that i chose this over tonsillitis but honestly, yeah, and i’d do it again. I feel a million times better now that I have enough blood and food in my body, it is a huge noticeable improvement in comparison to how i’ve felt for years and apparently it’s pretty physically obvious too, everyone i see says i look a lot better. please, get your tonsils removed if you need to, don’t let the little buggers plague your life because they truly can cause some massive medical issues. I mostly just wanted to write this out to vent, but again, PLEASE do not let this incredibly rare complication alter your decision on your potential tonsillectomy.

I have an old friend kasi. We both work in Accenture. She's stationed in Alabang and I am in Cubao. We were really close until we became FO. In my memory, alam kong walang basis lahat ng accusations nya against me kasi sa friendship namen, sya lang ang nakinabang sa akin over the years.
I blocked her on Facebook and IG na but her ex has been sending me updates kasi she also did him dirty. They have 2 kids and she left them for another guy. Anyway, every time kasi na nanghihingi ng child support si ex, she will blow up at him and idadamay nya pangalan ko, out of nowhere, she'll curse my name.
And then I'm seeing posts na patungkol sa akin, like, she posted a picture of Fiona meme, and the people who "knows" the story of us were making fun of someone being Fiona look alike. I'm a plus size and treated as princess by my bf. Ayun pa nga asar nya sa akin, how I was like Cinderella when I met my bf. Kasi poor ako and rich si bf.
I know na kinukwento din nya ako sa mga officemates nya even before I broke our friendship. I just feel the need to make her stop kasi sobra na. She's so ungrateful and a liar. I can't stay silent and honestly, gusto ko sya magtanda. Ang labas kasi parang sya pa ang biktima sa mga kwento nya.
Is there anything I can do ba?!

Hello, this may be a very naive question but I don't know how I can achieve this.
How can I find a list of stocks that rose >4% during 10am-12pm during the last trading week?
I'm aware of scanners/screeners. But AFAIK you cannot set specific date and time periods? I'm aware I could search for the "Weeks top gainers" or "Day's top gainers" however, that wont tell me all stocks because some may have risen >4% during 10-12 then reversed back down or they may have done their rise after 12pm.
My goal is to find these stock names that meet the criteria then study each of them closer using technical analysis.
Any advice how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

It's probably the most intense feeling I've ever had. As my oldest ages, 3 now, I get this incredible nostalgic sadness when I'm reminded of the little things that we did when he was younger.
For example, I set up a picture album of the kids on my living room TV. When I see fond memories or even just captured moments of when he was little, I'm nearly brought to tears.
Another example is when I am reading my son's old baby books to my 6 month old, I remember reading to him and he would flip the little flaps and make his little sounds and I feel like my heart is in my throat.
I can't put a name to it and maybe there isn't one but it makes me cherish every moment a little bit more.
