Here’s What You’ll Get with the Smart Blogger Email Marketing Certification

Email Marketing Course

We’ve created what will become the gold standard in email marketing courses. You’ll learn the most important copywriting principles and marketing fundamentals for email marketers, the critical components of achieving high open and click-through rates, how to get new clients on a regular basis, and much, much more.
Along the way, you’ll learn from loads of examples from a variety of industries, to make sure each lesson is applicable to different types of clients. Plus, you’ll complete exercises designed to help you grasp the most important concepts and put them into practice.

Think of this as the ultimate email swipe file. We’ll provide you with templates for the most common types of marketing campaigns, including flash sales, webinars, and many more.
These are the same email templates I spent years perfecting that have generated over $7.2 million in revenue for Smart Blogger.
So when I say that these email templates *work*, I mean it. And I can prove it.
These templates are going to save you hours of hard work with all your future projects. Anytime you take on a new client, all you have to do is find the right template, duplicate the file, and fill in the blanks to personalize it.
Depending on the situation, you may need to make a few additional changes so the copy fits your needs. But even then, 90% of the work is already done for you.

Private Circle Space With Feedback From Instructors

Think of the Circle space as the central hub where you can go for inspiration, motivation, clarification, and feedback. This is a great place to network with other writers you can learn from and share secrets with.
Your instructors will be in there, too, providing personalized feedback on your assignment and really helping you to hone your email marketing skills to a razor’s edge.

Certification Exam Including Written Work Graded By Instructors

The certification exam for this program is no joke. After all, you need to live up to the high bar that’s been set by the Smart Blogger brand.
But I promise that if you do the work throughout the course, you’ll have what it takes to pass.
I also promise that your work will be read and graded by real instructors who are expert email marketers in their own right. This is something that almost no other programs offer…which is sad, because it’s by far one of the most important elements in learning to write email campaigns clients are willing to pay for.

~Writer.me~ Profile And Badge

When you pass the certification exam, we’ll set you up with a free profile on writer.me so that companies looking for email marketers will have a way to find and contact you. From that point forward, it will be your source of free email marketing and copywriting leads.
You’ll also get a Certification Badge that you can—and should—put everywhere you can: on your website, resume, even in your email signature, to let people know that you’re a highly trained copywriter capable of writing campaigns that deliver real results for real businesses.
As you can see, you’re getting a LOT from this program. It’s natural that you’re probably wondering…

2024.05.29 04:43 Far-Season-5083 My son is behind, I don’t know what to do and his father won’t help

My son is 4 years old and started preschool in the fall. I was working day shifts from 6am-3:30 or 4:00 and my son’s father wasn’t working so he would take him to school in the morning; we also live across the street from each other which is super convenient. Things were going great until Christmas break ended. After the break, his father’s car broke down and he was unable to drive him to school. I suggested that he walk him to school but he refused, claiming that the school was too far and he would be too tired despite him not working. For 2 months my son would sit in the house playing on his tablet for hours until I got home because his father didn’t want to entertain him. I personally have no problem with my son having a tablet but I never wanted him to be on it for long periods of time. The rule at my house is 1 hour on school nights and 2 hours on the weekend, he spends most of his day outside on the weekends anyway. However, his father allows him to do whatever he wants and doesn’t monitor what he watches. As soon as I get home my son comes and gets dressed for the first time all day and goes outside to play with his cousins who have just gotten out of school. I would cook and get him into bed by 9. I don’t only throw blame on his father because I know that I’m at fault as well because I wouldn’t work with my son on his reading in writing but in my defense I was exhausted from work.
I say all this to say that my son is behind in school and I don’t know how to help him. He started going back to school in March. The other kids in his class are writing their names and can recognize letters but he can’t do any of that. I recently went on medical leave so I am at home all day with him and I try to help teach him. His teachers don’t have time to help him catch up and always say that he isn’t a good student. I’ve bought work books, flash cards, and even customized print outs of his name for him to trace. I tried out learning videos on YouTube like Blippi and Ms. Rachel but he shows no interest and would rather use his tablet to play games. He doesn’t like any educational shows and will only watch shows like Pj mask and other things that I think are too overstimulating. I am struggling to get him interested in learning. I know that consistency is important and I work on it everyday but I can’t control what he does at his dad’s house and I definitely can’t keep him from going there without causing problems. However, he has no interest in helping his son because he’s says that he’s tired after work and doesn’t want to be bothered. I just don’t know what to do anymore. Please if you have any tips on how I can teach him to recognize letters and engage in learning I’d greatly appreciate them!

2024.05.29 04:21 smolderingember <5% Interview Rate

I have 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending. Naturally, my applications have been almost exclusively originations and underwriting roles, with a small amount of asset management applications as well. I've applied to 200+ roles over the last 6 months and only interviewed at 3 firms. One firm didn't email me back after 2 rounds of interviews (5 individual interviews). Two others interviewed me (3 interviews and 8 interviews, respectively) and offered roles different from the ones I applied for. I turned down those offers as they were obvious bait and switch postings and I have no desire to work for liars.
Undoubtedly, CRE is suffering from a downturn. But at this point, I can't help but think I'm being discriminated against because of my ethnic name and face. Please let me know what I can improve and how I can address this discrimination.

2024.05.29 03:29 hornybuttguy Very confused on how to approach this

Hi!
Using a throwaway for anonymity purposes
My apologies if this is not the right sub for this discussion, but it's the only one I found remotely related to my experience.
I really enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories, getting excited for them, as long as I am not directly involved in for example picking a ring for my best friend's girlfriend, help them pick drapes for their new house... However, if it's unplanned and they are in a tough spot about it, I will turn the world around to help them.
Same with relationships, I have not been in a long term relationship and when I entered a relationship, it was just annoying, because I did not have my personal time as much as I wanted to which eventually led to a break-up. No, it's not just that one girlfriend, it's in general... I love being alone. Genuinely. Even friends have limits. If we're somewhere for the weekend, I really start to feel the need for my solitude as it's too much. If they leave the room/place for an hour, I'm good again as I've been recharged.
If a close friend has got into a relationship, I will be interested to hear about it and care if they are happy, usually form a friendship with the partner as well as most of them are amazing people I love as friends, but I would hate to listen to them and their love for hours on end. OK, we have determined they are nice, I've met them, i know they are great, you two are a good pairing, we cool. Keep things to yourself. Don't shove tongues down each other's throats every five minutes. It's disgusting.

On the other hand if a friend has suddenly broken up with his/her bf/gf and want to talk, I will absolutely listen to them and advise as much as I can to provide emotional support.

Texting also does not bother me in the slightest, I can talk on a variety of topics for hours on end, make a connection, joke, give advice on romance, write poetry about love even, which again seems to counter some of the things I've written here, but that's where the confusion lies.

My best friend from preschool whom I've known for 20+ years and we mostly talk about tech, booze and work, never really discussed gfs or anything like that, recently got into a relationship with a girl and they are getting serious, he just mentions her in passing every time we meet up. There's a whole bunch of other things going on in his life, both personally and professionally. It's genuinely one of the best meetups I have.

Another couple I'm close friends with has just announced the wife is expecting and while I am really happy for them, I really don't want to spend the next year or so talking about their baby and nothing else. I truly am happy for them and want to know about their lives, but this cannot be the ONLY thing you can talk about... Yes, I know having a kid changes everything and it's a difficult change. I am fully aware of that and it would be absolutely impolite of me not to even ask about their child, at the end of the day, i do want to know a bit, but I don't want a 3 hour convo on how much he/she pooped today.
But, they could call me at 3 AM saying hey, I need x for my baby and I'd be there for them, because I love them.

How do I approach this without coming off as a disinterested asshole?

2024.05.29 02:51 Zeddblidd The Boys: The Sherman Brothers’ Story (2009)

2024-208 / Zedd MAP: 86.14 / MLZ MAP: 83.34 / Score Gap: 2.80
Wikipedia / IMDb / Official Trailer / Our Collection
I have a few rules when writing - things learned from my time as a journalist, and later, as the crafter of creative career creations, yes friends - I was a professional resume writer, a wordsmith, netting a couple hundred bucks for a single document. You might think “oh, my computer has a template” or “my Aunt Mary does the family’s resumes” but later you’d wonder why nobody was calling you in for an interview.
Crap in / Crap Out, I’m afraid (Rule 1) - creative writing is a skill, not well suited for hobbyists. I turned my gift for turning a phrase, the gift for gab if you will, into money. Anyone who’s ever wished to transform writing into currency can tell you… it’s nearly impossible. Once achieved, there’s no going back. (Rule 2) Look at me - I’m giving it away now, here on Reddit - but then currency can be more than just money. You can spend and pay a great many things - time, attention, respect, a good time, allegiance. :]
The most important philosophy I learned was to make whatever I was writing seem both interesting and fun - never let the customer see the process, never let them see you sweat. (Rule 3)
This is where The Sherman Brothers excelled - they wrote some of the 20th century’s most memorable songs. Happy songs, sad songs, and above all, silly songs for the movies. Outwardly, what a treasure to have two brothers of such skill - music and lyrics, apparently effortlessly and fit for the King of Disney Studios, Walt himself was an employer but also a huge fan.
In private, they couldn’t stand to be near one another. There’s no hate like family hate (that’s Rule 1 but in a different book entirely, one unfortunately on my shelf too). Once they retired, they didn’t speak for decades. We had no idea.
From IMDb: Their music is unforgettable. Their name is legend. Delve into the lives and cinematic legacy of the prolific songwriting duo whose music has been featured in classic movies such as Mary Poppins (1964) and The Jungle Book (1967).
You might be one of those people just meeting The Sherman Brothers, Robert and Richard, for the first time - although, you’ve certainly heard their music. I could compile a list of films whose catchy tunes can be traced to them but we’d be here all day. They won Oscars for Mary Poppins and were nominated for several others.
Mrs. Lady Zedd grabbed this documentary for me from the Disney Movie Club because we first became aware of the brothers during the early days of the Movie Collection Catalog. During the upgrade I built for 2.0, I started noting the names of bands I like and, not long after, “Them” of the musical variety.
The Sword in the Stone (1963), Mary Poppins (1964), The Jungle Book (1967)… Disney flick after Disney flick, the non-Disney too, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968), Snoopy Come Home (1972), Charlotte's Web (1973) - damn, motion picture after motion picture had their musical fingerprints all over it. I call out names I bump into, MLZ learns them from hearing my MCC chatter. The documentary was a thoughtful gift.
Neither of us were prepared for the story The Boys had to tell. Richard and Robert were fire and ice. Creatively, they brought the best out of one another - personally, they wanted nothing to do with each other. Their children lived blocks from each other but were strangers. It was very sad, but it happens.
We came to terms with the reality of things, there were a few pictures during the credits that showed the brothers together - we chose to hope they patched things up. I looked them both up and discovered the older of the two, Robert, had passed a few years after the documentary, then - that last “I didn’t know” - Richard passed just a few days ago. We were having a memorial viewing, but accidentally. It really goes that way sometimes.
On a more positive note, I discovered my favorite Sherman Brothers song turned out to be Walt Disney’s too Feed the Birds (Tuppence a Bag) from Mary Poppins. Their music, born of friction, often served to soothe - the older I get, the more I realize what a gift that can be.
Movie on.

2024.05.29 02:15 HomunMage How to build automation workflow with function calling on local LLM?

This topic combine several questions.
First, is that there is no one general chat model. such gpt and ollama have different interface. This cannot create workflow template.
Second, such "Tool Agent" can use Read, Write File and function calling. But Tool Agent cannot output to prompt template.
Another side has same problem, "LLM Chain" cannot use tool or function calling.
Similar to first question, that the items "only" can use some spesific item. exhausted to find what can link.
Third question, this repo seems powerful, but just look like powerfull. It cannot do something more complex than any exist templates.
I see many questions such that cannot RAG multiple file, cannot combine agents.......
For my example, how to build automation workflow with function calling?
Such that X chat model with a template such Marketing search web with selenium, and next do analysis, write to TA.md.
Y chat model with a role such PM that read TA.md and design product and write to a file such Design.md.
And then another chat model Z with role programmer that write imp.py and run test.py.
and for different stage such model Z use gpt4o such PM model Y use ollama local.
(like metaGPT or CrewAI)
Even any one line of this workflow sub step cannot use flowise to acheieve.

I spend hours trying to write the perfect intro msg or comment to express interest casually only to be ghosted, especially now with the 5 personalised connects / month BS LinkedIn came out with. I try to use a professional-friendly tone, I keep it light, sometimes I get the conversation started but don’t know where to go from there without sounding needy.
Any help is appreciated o7

2024.05.29 00:06 XIVMagnus How to Esign documents?

Hey All,
I’m building a tool to eSign and send contracts. I’m curious about these-v
  1. Legal Validity: What do I need to make sure e-signatures are legally legit in the US and other big markets?
  2. Compliance: Are there specific laws or standards (like eIDAS in Europe or ESIGN/UETA in the US) I should be focused on?
  3. Best Practices: Any tips or best practices for creating legally binding contract templates?
I read that there must be free form writing to be considered legally binding and then I saw hellobonsai doesn't offer free form but yet its legally binding AFAIK.

2024.05.28 23:45 rand3289 Structuring OpenSCAD code

When I started writing OpenSCAD code, I was trying to figure out how to structure code. I couldn't find anything online. Eventually I figured out a couple of interesting patterns. It seems most modules can be written with the following template:
module module_name(){ // public difference() { union(){ translate() rotate() scale() color() cube(); custom_operation_on_children() module_name2(); * * * } translate() rotate() scale() color() cylinder(); * * * } }
In place of difference()+union() you can use difference()+intersection() or just difference() or just union(). The idea is to limit the number of set operations (difference, union, intersection) in a module to two. Why two? If you think about it, union() is there just to define the first argument to difference().
Apply all operations (translate, rotate, custom_operaions etc) on the same line as cube(), cylinder() and custom shapes see "module_name2()" above. Do not use modifiers such as translate, rotate etc in front of difference(), union() and inersection().
If MOST modules are written this way, code becomes very simple, uniform, structured and easy to navigate. This also forces most modules to be small. For convenience I mark modules as public (accessible from other modules) or private with a comment.
While refactoring using this pattern, I found a bunch of unnecesary operations that I was able to remove by moving shapes under other union() and difference().
Intuitevely, this also makes sense: "you combine all the shapes into one piece once and then take away the extra stuff".
Sometimes you want to be able to carve out space and install a part into that space. For that I use what I call an anti-pattern:
module my_module_name_install(x, y, z, ax=0, ay=0, az=0){ // private union(){ difference(){ children(); // in this case carving primitive is a cylinder translate(x,y,z) rotate(ax,ay,az) cylinder(50, d=20); } // and now we install the part into an empty space translate([x,y,z]) rotate([ax,ay,az]) my_module_name(); } }
How I use variables:
Create project_name_const.scad and define all global constants there. include it in all files that need it. Define constants and variables at the top of each file that are local to that file but are shared by multiple modules. Define constants and variables in the beginning of each module that are local to that module.
I also create project_name_main.scad that USE other *.scad files. Within main I position all modules relative to each other. Basically creating an assemly.
At the end of each *.scad file, I call the public modules so that each individual file can be opened in OpenSCAD for debugging.
Here is an example of the project where I used these techniques: https://github.com/rand3289/brakerbot I use these patterns when writing code by hand but they also might be useful for generating scad code programmatically.
Let me know If you have any cool tips on how to structure code. Also tell me if you know any situation where these patterns won't work.

2024.05.28 23:27 sailorstrawberi help creating a list of card "first impression" categories to create a tarot journal for a newbie

as the title says, i'm looking to create a template for a tarot journal, with different categories listed so she can write her first overall impressions of each of the cards. i don't know if this exact thing has been done before, if it has please let me know!
i'm going to include things as broad as Pos/Neg, Light/Shadow, Male/Female(/Other?), Active/Passive, Dominant color, Season, Dominant element, Overall emotion, Fauna, Flora, Yes/No, etc etc. I am still in the process of coming up with the start of my list. I want the list to be LONG, with the goal of her doing a card a day (she can do more lol that's up to her, but this is the intention i am going with)
if anyone has ANY suggestions, however niche, specific, broad, whatever, i am eager to hear them! the goal is to help any newbie really get to know each card individually. this method might not work for everyone, but this is the way my mind works & what i wish i had starting out. After writing her first impressions she will then check them against the "official" (i use the term loosely) interpretations.

2024.05.28 22:15 elegye When avoid metaprogrammation ?

Hi there,
I am still a junior software developer, and I quite often encounter the same question: when/why avoid metaprogrammation ? Do you have examples where metaprogrammation became absolute bloated and the code unmaintenable ?
This language feature is really powerful and I currently use it at work. I need to implement a quite similar behavior for 20 different data type (receive data, store it, and send it when needed). Since this is always the same behavior, I suggested to use metaprogrammation (for some reason, basic OOP is not sufficient). I like the idea of one template class, and avoid writing 20 classes and finally 40 .h/.cpp files. My project is largely written in c++03, despite we compile it in c++11 and some components in c++17, without using 1/10 of c++ features (large part of the team comes from embedded C).
Thanks for your always interesting answers!

2024.05.28 22:00 DalyaBlackComedy 21-Day Joke Challenge

Hey Friends!
I created a 21-day Joke Challenge Notion template. It's totally free and it has a section that you can get all the writing prompts in one page if you don't want to deal with Notion as a product. But I hope you'll try it! I worked really hard on it. :D
This is a great way to just get the juices flowing before a writing session.
You can find it here! Enjoy!

2024.05.28 21:56 Emotional_Key Introducing documentation culture in a team of 12

Hello, we are looking to start documenting properly our workflows, pipelines and datawarehouse. We are looking to define reusable templates for various pieces of documentation to ensure a standard.
Now first things first we are trying to figure out what to use to document these processes and where to store them.
I suggested .md files on github just because this will give us a better insight into the history of the document, who wrote what and also a good way to search the documentation.
But the team is not very technical, I don’t think they interacted neither with git or with markdown files.
And I’m here to ask for suggestions.
Do you know how I can ease the interaction with both writing on markdown files and using git? I think it would be great if there was a tool that can help with both of these aspects. I was thinking of vscode but I’m not sure if I can find any good extensions for markdown editing.
Do you also have other recommendations?

2024.05.28 20:52 MrWorldwide94 Simplest way to make and test an email template?

I just need to upload my code and test it out. I am a very new web dev at a marketing agency and have been tasked with coding almost a dozen email templates for a client who uses Salesforce. Our company doesn't really have any experience working in Salesforce, so I'm kind of on my own with this. I've got several of the templates coded out in HTML and CSS, but I'm just so lost how to proceed. SF is not very user or beginner friendly, none of the tutorials are very helpful or specific to my situation or are just outright wrong. It's utterly ridiculous how terrible all the tutorials are, and I don't have the time to spend days learning the ecosystem, especially since this is a very one-off situation. I've spent more than half a day on this already. If someone can tell me the best way to do this as if I'm 5 years old, I'd appreciate it.
As of writing this, I started an account under a free trial. The only way I was able to create an email template within SF was by creating a campaign, deleting the blocks, then inserting all my html. When I try to send a test email, it says there are no unified individuals. I've looked that up as i have every other step, but there's no simple straightforward answer.
So, maybe we can start with that. How do i create a simple, fake unified individual to test these emails out? Is it possible to test the merge tags doing this? Or am i going about this the completely wrong way and should do something else?

2024.05.28 20:51 Red_Ldr88 How do decide on and stay organized with the skills you are working on with your kids?

I was at an art class with my 4yr old today and realized that we have a lot of work to do with using scissors. But we are also working on basic phonics, number sense, writing letters, etc. Then there is social/emotional skills (dealing with frustration, big feelings, etc). My daughter also some additional special needs (PT, self care) that we are also working on. It can all seem overwhelming at times. I’d love to hear how others work some of this skill instruction into your day to day.
Right now, I try to incorporate some “academic time” into our day. I try to keep this loose and based on what we are doing that day. For example, we will go to our local farmers market and look at the letters on signs, work on “more than” or “fewer than” with items at the stalls, etc. She does go to preschool in the mornings and few days a week, so she is getting some additional instruction there.
All to say, I want to make the best of the time that I have with her while also not beating a love of learning out of her.

2024.05.28 20:02 rockpunkzel Parents are claiming that child abuse is going on in my classroom - how do I calm them down?

I'm a first year kindergarten teacher, and all of my students have previously done a year of preschool. My teacher assistant has around 20 years of experience in teaching various elementary levels and has a more authoritative way of handling issues in the classroom (stern voice, mostly). I also have class management strategies such as having practiced procedures (take out your pencil, how to sit down, subject transitions, lining up, lunch time, writing your name, etc.) and the students know them well! I use a sticker chart and have a prize for Friday for earning enough points!
I have one student that has behavioral issues. It's gotten better, but he has an intense need to be the center of focus by an adult and will mock, insult, hit others in the face, steal things, throw things or destroy other student's assignments when he is being ignored or not getting his way. He doesn't want to do classroom assignments and previously would run out the classroom, and now heads to our reading corner to hug the pillows. The sticker chart works to give positive reinforcement and I give him more positive reinforcement with stickers and check marks when he completes assignments and communicate daily with his parents on improvements and misbehavior. This student, who I'll call Tommy, is usually monitored by the teacher assistant.
Tommy has claimed that the teacher assistant hits him in the head (lies) and I've documented continuously that this child claims he is being mocked or hit when it's actually him doing it to others. He gets reprimanded by the teacher assistant with a stern voice and count downs. Susie, a classmate close to him, began to have night terrors and cry not wanting to go to school and the parents blamed it on the teacher assistant's "screaming". I have a meeting with Susie's parents and clear up their screaming allegations by stating that she speaks sternly, and never screams, at another student who misbehaves and Susie sits close to him. These parents began the meeting by stating they were lawyers and know about child abuse and they will sue the school if anything "happens" and they were "about" to go directly to the head principal. Admin sides with them that screaming is not okay and they would speak to the assistant (again, I tell them there is no screaming).
Last week one of my students stopped her bus twice and backed it up 20 minutes to find her jacket inside the school. I attended her once, stopping a parent teacher conference since I was confused as to why she came running into my classroom in tears, and she gets off the bus a second time and the teacher assistant reprimands her that she cannot stop a bus at dismissal over a jacket. I later spoke to the monitor that to please not let this happen again unless it's an emergency (medical or the student soiled themselves). I think it's not fair to back up a bus 20 minutes when students have to get home at a certain time. Turns out her jacket was at home anyways!
One of the parents saw the assistant reprimand this student over the jacket and blows up the parent group chat that this is wrong. Susie's mom jumps in and sends voice notes that this is child abuse and it shouldn't be tolerated. Tommy's mom also jumps in and says that her son claims that the assistant "hits him in the head". The first parent comes into the school to talk to admin about the incident, and admin comes to me stating that I need to talk to my assistant and that this is the second time that the assistant "screams" at students. I'm confused since I cleared up in the first meeting that screaming doesn't happen, and the jacket incident occurred at dismissal time when hundreds of students, teachers and parents are getting picked up. No one else heard this screaming?
I know admin doesn't like this assistant. She's been around so long that it's more expensive to fire her, and she has a personality where she will speak up in meetings to "say things like it is" and why certain ideas won't fit in with the school or parent culture. I don't know if I am biased since I really appreciate how this assistant mentors me (both in teaching and surviving private school culture), but I feel it is absolutely wrong that parents are ganging up on her without any evidence to their claims and admin is feeding into the claims to be on the clients side. And I am out of the loop until recently when admin comes up to me and I see the group chat screen shots.
I need advice on how to handle admin, the parents and assistant. I admit that I do have a fear of admin going against me if I side with the assistant and I also want another perspective in case I am biased and on my assistant's side. But I feel it is so WRONG that admin and parents are ganging up with no evidence to back up their claim and have used the term "child abuse". I would never tolerate that in my presence and it offends me, I enjoy working with children.
How do I calm down the parents to stop the ganging up on my teacher assistant? What would be the best way to speak to them? I do have a parent that leads the group and I get along with her.

2024.05.28 19:35 Individual-Heart-719 How chill is your summer internship? How over/under worked do you feel?

I am a rising 2L and I have my first internship. It’s a remote job (paid, thank god) and communication from the superior is a little low. They just tell me to read a bunch of files and they’ll get back to me with tasks.
I get maybe one email a day telling me to do some simple tasks or to write a memo (didn’t take too long given a lot of it was copy-paste template work). Most of my job is spent idle waiting for instructions or reading training files.
I’m not complaining about not having a lot of work, but it still feels a little odd. How often/hard does your internship work you?

2024.05.28 19:12 rai_shi How to make RAG retrieve_documents chain make faster?

Hi,
We created a chatbot with Llama2-7b-chat, RAG architecture using LangChain, Qdrant VectorDB, and for web side Django. Everything works well. Additionally, our system works locally. Now the only problem is the time we get the answer. Sometimes it takes 15 seconds to return the answer from the RAG chain and it's too bad. After monitoring with LangSmith we saw that retrieve_documents takes most of the run time.
Our Qdrant VectorDB collections distance type Manhattan and binary quantization. The embedding model is sentence-transformers/all-MiniLM-L6-v2 so the size is 384. Also we clear the cache everytime. Here is the chains code and the invoke , (We write two system prompt for holding the chat history.)
class RAG(): def _init_(self): self.embed_model_id = 'sentence-transformers/all-MiniLM-L6-v2' self.initializeEmbeddingModel(device) self.model_id = 'meta-llama/Llama-2-13b-chat-hf' self.hf_auth = 'token' self.initializeLLM() self.data_collection_name = "collection_name" self.db_url = "qdrant-docker-port" self.initializeDBclient() self.initializesearchDB() self.LLMpipeline() self.configSystemPrompt() self.RAGpipeline() def initializeEmbeddingModel(device): pass def initializeLLM(self): bnb_config = transformers.BitsAndBytesConfig( load_in_4bit=True, bnb_4bit_quant_type='nf4', bnb_4bit_use_double_quant=True, bnb_4bit_compute_dtype=bfloat16 ) model_config = transformers.AutoConfig.from_pretrained( self.model_id, token=self.hf_auth ) self.LLMmodel = transformers.AutoModelForCausalLM.from_pretrained( self.model_id, trust_remote_code=True, config=model_config, quantization_config=bnb_config, device_map='auto', token=self.hf_auth ) self.LLMmodel.eval() def initializeDBclient(self): pass def initializesearchDB(self): # self.searchDB creation pass def LLMpipeline(self): tokenizer = transformers.AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained( self.model_id, token=self.hf_auth ) pipeline = transformers.pipeline( model=self.LLMmodel, tokenizer=tokenizer, return_full_text=True, task='text-generation', temperature=0.0, max_new_tokens=512, repetition_penalty=1.1, do_sample=False ) self.llm = HuggingFacePipeline(pipeline=pipeline) def configSystemPrompt(self): # sohbet geçmişi için alt prompt ve genel system promptu tanımlıyoruz contextualize_q_system_prompt = """prompt""" self.contextualize_q_prompt = ChatPromptTemplate.from_messages( [ ("system", contextualize_q_system_prompt), MessagesPlaceholder("chat_history"), ("human", "{input}"), ] ) qa_system_prompt = """prompt/ {context}""" self.qa_prompt = ChatPromptTemplate.from_messages( [ ("system", qa_system_prompt), MessagesPlaceholder("chat_history"), ("human", "{input}"), ] ) def RAGpipeline(self): retriever = self.searchDB.as_retriever(search_kwargs={"k":6 }) history_aware_retriever = create_history_aware_retriever( self.llm, retriever, self.contextualize_q_prompt ) question_answer_chain = create_stuff_documents_chain(self.llm, self.qa_prompt) self.rag_chain = create_retrieval_chain(history_aware_retriever, question_answer_chain) def ragQA(self, question, history): ai_msg = self.rag_chain.invoke({"input": question, "chat_history": history}) return ai_msg def clear_cache(self): torch.cuda.empty_cache() gc.collect()
LangSmith monitor result is here,
retrieval_chain 15.71s
So the problem is mostly retrieve_documents. What should we do to make the system faster?
