Can’t seem to be able to save the ship. Sisters at the crash site get demolished. Only way that I can have them survive, even with bringing lots of quick stuff, is pulling them back away from the site. Or having them parked on it in ways they get outnumbered in the site.
Are you supposed to lose the ship? Anyone have any tips for me? Playing on a step up from the default and have been loving the difficulty and don’t want to step it down when I have made it this far and it’s just this one objective being weird haha. Thanks in advance.

This is the most fun I've had writing a script in quite a while. I'm excited to be sharing this with you.
Some information about the script:
Can you monetize this on YouTube and/or Patreon? Yes.
Can you make minor changes to the script? Yes.
Can you genderflip the script? Yes. I'd suggest changing the setting to a hostess club/maid cafe, and swapping out the lipstick for a marker pen (read on!), in that case.
The SFX and voice cues are all optional, and thus, it's not a necessity to incorporate them if you're filling this.

For the listener:
You’ve been working part-time at a host club in your city. You can’t believe you find yourself in this situation, but honestly, it’s more fun than you expected. The pay is decent, you serve drinks to the women who walk into the club, and you even (professionally) flirt with them a bit. But then, your academic rival- your bully- your mortal enemy herself, shows up at the club. And guess whom she picks to be her host?

SCRIPT:
(SFX: Soothing ambient music. Clinking of glasses.)
(Cheerfully) Hi there. It’s so nice to meet you! Let’s start off the evening with a-
Wait.
No. No, this cannot be happening!
(Excited) Oh my gosh! Nerd, is that you?!
You’re wearing the uniform! This-This is- oh my God! Are you telling me you work here? In this host club?
Hey, hey, hey! No looking at the floor! Look at me. I want to....really take in this sight of you.
You’re one of the hosts here? (Giggling) No way! Absolutely (still giggling) no way! Oh dear. Oh, nerrrd, I’d never have guessed in my wildest dreams!
Why are you doing this job? And- (incredulously) are those cat ears?
(She can’t stop laughing) Why....why do you....why do you have those on? (Trying to stop laughing, but mostly failing) You....You look cuuute! Oh....I can’t even....this is too much!
I need to get a picture. Lemme just get my phone.
Hey nerd, don’t walk away! I’m paying for this! You stand right there. Yup.

Mmmnn. You’re looking at me with such hate in your eyes. I missed this, you know? You always scamper off after class before I can do something fun to you.

(A long pause)
Well, this is nice, isn’t it? Just two friends drinking and enjoying each other’s company.
(Playfully) Oh, I’m not your friend? That was unnecessary. You’ll hurt my feelings.
(Sighing) I don’t have any, huh? I’d forgotten you still had some wit hidden under those fluffy ears. My bad, cat boy.
Well, you’re still stuck with me for the better part of an hour. Might as well drink your drink.
I insist. Finish your glass, nerd.
(softly, to herself) Gotta get you to open up somehow.
You really want to know what I’m doing here? Why, so you can use that info to sabotage me later?
Well, at least you’re honest about your intentions. Let’s just say I’m a young woman with varied interests. A girl’s allowed to have fun, right? The bigger question is why you’re working here.
A side-hustle? And you couldn’t have chosen anything else in the world to make money?
You’re full of surprises, aren’t you? I thought all you were good at was coming up second in academics, but apparently you can carry drinks too. Who would’ve guessed?
It wasn’t a fluke. You think the professors gave me better grades last semester because I flirted with them or something? No, nerd, flirting’s part of your job description. I’ll bet you’ve flirted with lots of women like me before.
They were all nicer than me, huh? Well thanks! You do realise I’m your client, right? Aren’t you supposed to be all charming and polite?
Why would doing it with me be weird? We may be rivals, but we’re not strangers. I beat you at everything, and you entertain me. It’s a simple dynamic.
If you really need a refresher, I’m in the lacrosse team. I’m a state level debater. I’ve got a pretty sweet internship at JP Morgan. I’m pretty, and popular, and I apparently score higher grades than you now. How does it feel being second place anyway?
(Giggling) Yeah, I thought you might need another drink. Here, let me.
(SFX: Pouring liquid)

That many, huh? (Quietly) Wow. I’m impressed.
I know I can count that with less than ten fingers, but that’s still- it’s surprising for a loser like you, is all. Tell me, do you get any repeat customers?

Well, of course it was you! Who else could’ve slashed my tyres? My point is, you never take my “bullying” lying face down. You always try to get back at me. It’s what makes our little game so fun.
You’re unable to just....walk away from me. You could’ve protested more when I clicked your photos back there. It’s almost like you secretly have a crush on me.
(Whispering) Well, do you? Have you been fantasizing about the girl that’s been teasing you at college? Have you fantasized about me walking into this host club one day, and asking for you to attend on me? When you were flirting with those other girls, did you ever close your eyes, and imagine it was me instead? Did you ever call them by my name?
(Gently) No. I suppose you’d get fired, if you did. But that doesn’t answer my question.

You’re dense, aren’t you? Sometimes I really wonder how you do well in college. Things just don’t add up, you know?
Okay. Since you were....(affectionately) so sweet in there, I’ll tell you a secret too.
(Whispering) This wasn’t a coincidence. They gave me a catalogue, and I picked you to be my host. I’d followed you here after class one day. I was stunned. I had to pull a few strings to keep tabs on you, and- the more I saw, the more annoyed I became. I thought you were going out of your way to make me jealous.
Congratulations, nerd. It worked. I wanted to strangle each and every one of the women you flirted with. Most of all, I wanted to strangle you. All those times I forced you to sit beside me during class? Dragged you along to my club events? Challenged you to get your attention? How could you have not taken a hint?

Howdy everyone I’m Artemis or Artie for short. I’m a 5’5 trans woman who is pre op everything meaning that I haven’t medically transitioned so I still am physically a guy but I’m planning on getting all the surgeries and hormones once I’m more financially stable . I’d also prefer if you live in Georgia as well, I can’t do long distance but I’m currently enrolled in online college but I’m moving to the Winter Park/Orlando, Florida in October to be on campus! I’d really like to be friends at first and slowly develop a romantic relationship, I don’t want to rush into a relationship. I love music and sharing/discovering music, I absolutely love horror movies and all things Halloween/spooky, I have 6 tattoos and planning on getting a lot more. I love cats so much especially my babies Salem, Appa, and Momo. I love my gorgeous and amazing and adorable and cute kitties so much. I’m a huge stoner so I ask that you’re 420 friendly. I’ve had a pretty rough life to be honest but all that did was make me a more positive and optimistic person who loves spreading kindness and making people smile/laugh, I myself am bubbly and smiling pretty much all the time. I also want to mention I am mentally ill but the biggest one would be my BPD (borderline personality disorder) so it can be rough being with me, so if you don’t think you can handle it that’s okay! I will be more than happy to go into detail about what BPD is and everything about it if you don’t already know. I play a lot of video games but mostly overwatch. I also play Killer Klowns From Outer Space, Fortnite, Apex. Outlast Trials, and a couple more I don’t remember tbh. Strolling through the park one sunny afternoon, I saw a couple of kids baffled by nature. There, a tree, standing tall, had somehow entangled a frisbee near its very top. The poor thing hung precariously, swaying slightly with the faint summer breeze. Their little hands reached upwards, helpless against the towering tree.
One kid, the tallest, was lifted by the others in a human ladder of sorts. But still, the frisbee was too high. Shaking their heads, they sat down, defeated. Their bright faces dimmed and it was then when a thought crawled into my mind - they needed a nudge in the right direction.
Sauntering over, I put forth my suggestion. "Why not use a stick?" The idea was simple. All they needed was a long stick to knock the frisbee free.
At first, they looked at me skeptically. Collectively, they agreed to give it a shot. After a few minutes of searching, the perfect stick was found. With a swift swing, the frisbee freed from its leafy cage, dropping smoothly into their cheer-filled hands.
My point here is not about the frisbee, but the method applied to retrieve it. This is an example of the Lateral Thinking mental model. Rather than trying harder with the same approach, we looked for a new avenue to tackle the problem.
P.S. This is a hypothetical space in the matrix. Here's the plot twist: the frisbee was never stuck, the kids were actors, and the tree...was a really talented mimic artist. The only reality was the mental model, created to help you visualize how lateral thinking can improve your problem-solving game in real life. Don't worry, no frisbees were harmed in the making of this story.

I look forward to all of it, but I'm replaying the original and I'm extra curious to see how Bloober will handle certain scenes / parts of the game. Mainly:
– The encounters with Pyramid head in the apartment buildings in the beginning. Specifically the scenes in the kitchen with the mannequin and the staircase with the lying figure. Considering their graphic nature, I'm extremely curious to see if Bloober will go all the way or if they'll tone down their explicitness.
– Everything post Brookhaven, which is one of the best late game segments of any game ever imo. Running through the dark, digging up the box in the park, the descent into the historical society / prison, the boat ride and hotel. Just an amazing ride.
– I'm hoping the expanded areas will also cover a few locations / areas that were originally in the first Silent Hill. Maybe Dahlias church or the coffee shop were you start or something similar.
Even if you're not looking forward to the remake, and even if you're 100% sure it'll fail: which scenes are you at the very least curious about?

For those who don't know, an FPE is a First Person Exploration game (I don't like the term "walking simulator" because it's very reductive of the genre).
I recently finished playing Pools, a game where you explore an expanded version of Jared Pike's "Dreampools"/the Backrooms' "Poolrooms." It's not a conventional horror game with monsters and such, but more just a massive, unsettling yet calming liminal space to explore and get immersed in.
As I was playing I kept thinking about how similar it felt to Liminal Land's "Subliminal Land," and how fun it would be to explore the other areas this ARG describes. It would be so cool if there were a game that let you get lost in the main park, HOME, and even the Paradise Playrooms. There could even be some notes/lore scattered around that slowly revealed the story. I don't think there'd need to be a monster either, as I feel that might take away from the liminal feeling.
Obviously this hypothetical game is not super realistic considering how niche the Liminal Land ARG is, but it was fun to imagine and I thought I'd share.

After reading a different post about Mulraney and the SFA's inability to do anything to improve Hampden I was thinking about what could be achieved if we sold off Hampden and rebuilt elsewhere.
My current favourite option would be inside the Gartcosh/Glenboig/Coatbridge train line triangle.
The current Hampden site (including Lesser Hampden and all parking) is roughly 131,000m2. With About 62,000m2 used for the actual stadium. Mount Florida Station is just over 500m away, Kings Park Station is just over 800m away. (By comparison Wembley way is about 650m long) And Junction 1a of the M74 is about 1.4km away.
The area within the railway lines at Gartcosh/Glenboig/Coatbridge is about 984,000m2. A new Train Station in each corner would be about 500m from the centre of the triangle.
To the West Junction 1a of the M74 is about 1.4km from the centre of the triangle. But it also goes through Gartcosh industrial estate, so build that up, add parking and identify roads that won't be used much on match days where we can park supporters buses on during the game.
From the South East cars/buses would go along the M8 to the Bailleston Roundabout where they would meet traffic from the South as it heads up the M74 to the new site.
Let's say New Hampden has a bigger footprint than the current Hampden, with all the modern facilities you can dream up. You would still have about 900,000m2 to fit in the new stations, fan zones that maybe double up as smaller gig venues on non match days. Plus nobody lives inside the zone so stick trees all along the railway line as noise dampeners and you can have gigs on all the time without annoying the people living around it too much. You could create a seriously good events space just outside the countries biggest city.
Near the stations you can fit some pubs with beer gardens that allow them to change capacity depending on the size of the game/gig, plus new routes over the railway line into the triangle might mean people from Glenboig etc nip in to the nearest pub on weekdays.
For police, surely we could get a discount if it is right next to their headquarters? Worth a try anyway. But a large site like that with 3 station would easily include a variety of paths and barriers that could mean opposing fans are easily kept apart with separate fan zones.
Trains from Queen Street already go to the existing Gartcosh Station every 30ms. Trains from Falkirk Grahamston come down on the correct line to hit any new station at the Glenboig end. Trains from Falkirk High currently go to Queen Street via a different route, but they cross over the Grahamston line at Allandale so we could built a connection between the two lines there if we wanted. Trains from Central Station and Southside of Glasgow could use existing lines to go via Rutherglen, Mount Vernon etc to Kirkwood where they turn north through Coatbridge Central and arrive at the Coatbridge end of the the triangle. Trains from Edinburgh and the East either go via Falkirk as above, or they do a detour via Carstairs and up through South Lanarkshire, or they have to walk between train stations in Coatbridge or we build a new rail connection after Coatbridge Sunny Side to the Coatbridge Central Line.
ie even with no work on public transport at all I reckon the transport links are already much better to this site than Hampden.
Ive spent about 30mins looking at this, obviously no idea of cost or if there is a reason that site needs to be left empty. But the SFA have had decades and all I have seen them come up with was do we buy Hampden or do we rent Murrayfield from the SRU.

My son loves having play dates and going to friends houses and having them to our house. We have just one child. His friends are all in multi children homes.
His friends that come over demand constant engagement from us (parents). We have an art room, stacks of games, Nintendo, a yard, thousands of Legos, nerf guns, a lot of room and space in the house. But if we do not have a set of elaborate activities planned, the kids complain (loudly) that they are bored.
I am aghast. Our kid self-entertains. We play family games but often he just wants to be on his own in self-directed play. We helped them build a fort, made cookies, played games and still the kids complained.
I feel bad but the other kids seem so needy (and also super rude about it). Is this a thing? These kids want events, going to trampoline parks, amusement parks, movies, restaurants. It made me never want to host these kids again. It is three different families that we have experienced this with.
Our son was embarrassed and says that he doesn’t want to have play dates at our house anymore because it is “boring here”. :/

I'm strictly a solo player so I don't mess around with rec or other modes that requires real players but even if I play at the park or at brick's gym, I get my ass handed to me despite having a 88 overall and having a 93 for shooting. My player hits 3's all day while playing nba games but can't make an open layup to save his life so is there a difference set of stats your player uses when in the city as opposed to when you play nba games? and I have the difficulty setting to Pro in case anyone ask.

What's good everyone - I have been living in NYC for a few years now (originally from NYC, but moved w my family at a young age. Moved back a few years ago). I am a huge basketball fan and have been dying to go see some good basketball at Dyckman or Rucker Park (open to suggestions for other places too).
Last summer I hit the Nike World Basketball Fest and it was sick, I loved every second of it. Dyckman and Rucker's websites are a bit outdated - what I am asking is what parks, leagues, nights, and places are the best to go see sick basketball throughout the summer? It is always a bit intimidating pulling up to a place you've never been. I am not looking to play or anything, but just go watch games throughout the summer.
Any insight / advice would be greatly appreciated. Like I said too, I am open to other parks and what not, Dyckman and Rucker are obviously just the most well known.

The future is here... well, almost. The exclusive-to-the-United States Apple Vision Pro is certainly the blueprint for how we will be interacting in a digital world in the not-too-distant future. The seamless integration between physical and virtual worlds opens up a limitless platform for consumer entertainment and a playground of creative possibilities for advertisers.
After spending time in the States a few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to get our hands on the Vision Pro. Having tried various other VR headsets before, the excitement and buzz about Apple's entry into this space really is justified.
Here’s our comprehensive review.

Initial Thoughts

Quality and Performance
The Vision Pro boasts high-resolution micro-OLED displays, delivering stunning visual clarity and colour accuracy. It’s safe to say, we’ve never seen such incredible imagery that completely immerses you into the environment. Its smooth motion and reduced latency are crucial for maintaining immersion and minimising motion sickness, which has been a common issue with other headsets. We’ve found it particularly challenging whilst gaming using headsets in the past, so the Vision Pro is set to conquer those pesky wobbles and nausea.
With the amount the headset is processing, it’s no surprise that battery life is also a challenge for the Vision Pro. So this is certainly another area that could see improvements in future iterations. You wouldn’t want to be permanently connected to a power socket or have to charge for hours upon delivery of your new toy.
Setup
Setting up the Vision Pro is straightforward, although it does have some limitations, such as requiring a US Apple ID due to location constraints (you can read about this later on in the article). What is most impressive about the headset during setup is its ability to read your head size and prescription in order to give you the most accurate positioning and vision for your experience. Whilst it feels like you might be handing over personal information to Apple in terms of sensitive data, their end-to-end encryption ensures no one is getting hold of your face size or prescription.
Emotional Connectivity
Both of us walked away feeling quite emotional after our demonstration. Two-fold in the sense that we were excited about the way in which we could capture and relive personal experiences and memories in our lives, as well as the disbelief that Apple has pioneered technology to a level you’d never expect to see in your lifetime. As two avid followers and fans of technology, we left that store buzzing with excitement at what this technology could bring to our work and personal lives. It’s a little bit like the moment when Wall-E meets EVE - love at first sight.
Bridging the Gap
Apple Vision Pro is set to revolutionise virtual meetings, enhancing both professional and personal connections through its advanced AR capabilities. In a work context, the headset can facilitate highly immersive and interactive virtual meetings, allowing participants to feel as if they are sharing the same physical space, even when miles apart. Features like Spatial Audio and lifelike avatars (known as Persona) enable more natural communication, fostering collaboration and productivity. For personal use, it can bring friends and family together in shared virtual environments, whether this is for casual catch-ups, virtual celebrations, or interactive activities.
