I’ve released a tutorial on how to get this to work with DS3OS before but this new method should be easier to set up and has less bugs.

Dark Souls 3 Tutorial:

1. Download Dark Souls 3 (I’m using FitGirlsRepak v1.15, others should work too)
2. Download Goldberg Emulator latest build. https://mr_goldberg.gitlab.io/goldberg_emulato
3. Download Painted Worlds Mod from Nexus: [https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls3/mods/1574?tab=files&file\_id=6450\]
4. Download official steam_api64.dll https://www.dll-files.com/steam_api64.dll.html
5. Download settings rar file (Will be linked in the comments section)
6. Install Dark Souls 3
7. Copy the official steam_api64.dll to your Dark Souls 3\Game directory. (Back up cracked steam_api64.dll just in case of any problems)
8. Install Painted Worlds Mod. Copy and paste all files to Dark Souls 3\Game directory.
9. Extract Goldberg Emulator rar file, and go into experimental_steamclient folder. Copy and paste all files to Dark Souls 3\Game directory.
10. Open ColdClientLoader.ini with note editor. You’ll need to add info for Exe and AppID as shown in the image.
11. Make a shortcut of steamclient_loader.exe and move it to Desktop. This is the new way of launching DS3 so, I would change the icon to DarkSoulsIII.exe and rename it.
12. Extract settings rar file and move settings folder to Dark Souls 3\Game directory. IMPORTANT! Every player will need a unique SteamID and Username in order to connect.
13. Open settings folder and edit account_name.txt. This can be whatever you want, e.g., - Player1
14. Edit user_steam_id.txt and adjust your SteamID. Default SteamID is 76561199023125438. Change 1 or 2 digits to make sure every player has a different SteamID.
    • Important to mention, your old save file will be assigned to your previous SteamID, after you change this, it will no longer load your save file
15. Finally, you will now need to set up a VPN LAN connection between all the players. I’m using ZeroTier as it’s free and easy to use. Could use others like Himachi, Radmin, etc..
16. Download and install ZeroTier (for all players)
17. Only the host will need to make an account with ZeroTier. Create a new network, copy Network ID and join it via ZeroTier app. Host will then need to accept each player connected to the network/server, through the website.
18. Once everyone has connected to the Network and been authorised by the host, launch Dark Souls 3 through the shortcut you've made in step 10.
    1. The game will tell you that you can't connect online.
    2. That's fine, as you will be using Shift + Tab to bring up SteamOverlay and invite friends to your world.

Things to bear in mind:

1. This is not a SeamlessCoop Mod that you would get for Elden Ring :(
2. You will be able to join each others world as soon as you start the game :)
3. You can touch bonfire but cannot rest at bonfire :(
4. Only the player who’s world it is can collect items :(
5. Souls will be shared between players :)
6. After defeating a boss, Players will be sent back to their world.

How to install mods with modengine?

1. Download ModEgnine
2. Extract it and rename dinput8.dll, because this is already being used for Painted Worlds Mod. I would rename it to modengine.dll. Then, move all files to your Dark Souls 3\Game directory.
3. Open lazyLoad.ini and add your renamed modengine.dll to [CHAINLOAD]
4. To install mods that support ModEngine, create a mod folder inside Dark Souls 3\Game directory and move your mods there.

IMPORTANT! Most mods that require ModEngine will have their own dinput8.dll and modengine.ini file. DO NOT COPY THEM. Only copy what's inside the Mods folder, things like param, message, events, menu fodlers, project.json files ect..
Here's a list of mods I would highly recommend for EVERYONE! These mods fixes some bugs and other issues with the game, makes the game look better and improves performance :)
MODS:

1. Unlock FPS - This version of the mod will work with Dark Souls 3 v1.15.
2. Shadows Mod - Fixes weird outside shadows.
3. Enhanced Blood and Draw Distance - Fixes weird textures popping in and out and enhances blood.
4. Smaller Default HUD - Makes the HUD smaller.
5. Better Torch - Here you have 2 options. Option 1 is just Better Torch. Option 2 is Better Torch + Removes Light orb from the character. Most people will probably go with Option 1.

CINDERS MOD
After a couple of playthroughs why not try Cinders Mod? Yes, it works! I've tested it with a friend and hod no problems running it. You can either edit modengine.ini file and change modOverrideDirectory="\Cinders", or you can move all the files from Cinders folder to mod folder. Again do not copy dinput8.dll or modengine.ini as this will brake Painted Worlds.
Not working?
If you have problems getting this to work, make sure you have followed the tutorial properly every step of the way.
No license error? Do not launch the game through DarkSoulsIII.exe but instead use steamclient_loader.exe as explained in step 10.
If you don't see you friends come up when you press Shift + Tab make sure, everyone has a unique Username and SteamID and everyone has connected to ZeroTier network. The host must authorise access for each player on the Network.
Still not working? Try a fresh install of Dark Souls 3. Good luck fellow Ashenones :)

Trying to force her onto a team so I can learn wither pass 3 but I can't find info about which position free agents are treated as by the other teams in cases where they could play multiple positions and it isn't obvious which.

I wrote a dependency free log viewer in GO kevincobain2000/gol (github.com)
I wrote this in Go, because I wanted a simple, yet fast log viewer which doesn't need heavy middleware such as Elastic Search, or a separate DB which require many steps to setup.
The log viewer reads logs directly from the disk, and can perform search using regular expressions etc, with realtime update capabilities.
Results are displayed in paginated form, and auto judges the log level as info, warn, success etc.
Since it is written in GO, I embedded the frontend inside the binary, so it can just be downloaded and ready to use using simple command gol in the directly to match all log files, including ones that are tar.gz

Namodenoson showed efficacy in pre-clinical models via a definitive molecular mechanism of action
Can-Fite BioPharma Ltd. The protocol of the clinical study is CF102-222PC entitled: “A Phase II Open-Label Study of the Safety and Activity of Namodenoson in the Treatment of Advanced Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma,” ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT06387342.
The study is a multicenter open-label trial in patients with advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma whose disease has progressed on at least first line therapy or who refuse standard treatment. The trial will evaluate the safety, clinical activity, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of Namodenoson in this population. All patients will receive oral Namodenoson 25 mg administered twice daily for consecutive 28-day cycles. Patients will be evaluated regularly for safety. Approximately 20 evaluable patients will be enrolled. The primary objective of this trial is to characterize the safety profile of Namodenoson and the secondary objective is to evaluate the clinical activity as determined by the Objective Response Rate (ORR) using Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST 1.1), Progression-Free Survival (PFS), Disease Control Rate (DCR), Duration of Response (DoR), and Overall Survival (OS).
The study will be conducted by Dr. Salomon Stemmer, a leading key opinion leader, at the Institute of Oncology, Rabin Medical Center, Israel.

This post got it's start in another less awesome thread, but enough people commented that they were helped by it that I thought I'd expand on it here.
As someone who carries an Epipen because of a serious life-threatening allergy, here's a safety PSA for folks that are not familiar with them yet.
An Epipen is not a Stop button. It's a Pause button. They exist to buy us time to get to advanced medical help, they are not a magic potion. It is very common for a person in anaphylaxis to require additional doses or other medical interventions to save their lives. The very exaggerated 'Everything is fine now!' affect you see in TV shows is not medical reality.

If you don't need one of these, but wonder if you could help someone in an emergency like this, it does not require any licensure or training to administer one. I've yet to find anywhere that you aren't covered by some version of a Good Samaritain law. If you aren't sure that you could do it, remember that these devices are meant to be self-administered by someone who's body is actively trying to kill them. As the one not currently dying, you got this.
If you aren't sure how, the Epipen company in some countries will send you a completely free (or minimal cost) training kit with a fake injector for practice. If anyone has links to other countries, drop them in a comment and I'll try and update.

If you know someone who carries one, the boxes for most brands come with a trainer included and they will probably be happy to pull it out to demonstrate.
In the US, these can sometimes be prohibitively expensive. If you have an underage person you care about though, another way you can help keep them safe at school is the EpiPen4School program that provides free injectors to schools. All schools, public and private, kindergarten through high school can request them. They even replace them for free if they get used.

  • If you don’t have enough Novas to purchase something, you’ll see its price in Feathers, and Feathers will be used to purchase it. Please pay attention to the currency displayed when making the purchase, as that’s the currency that will be employed.
  • Once you don’t have any Novas, the icon will disappear from the backpack and from the Store UI.
  • There is no time limit to use your Novas, so please don’t feel rushed to employ them, and take your time.

A note from our balance team:
Over previous patch cycles, we have been reading a lot of feedback from the community and there are a number of specific points that kept coming up, which we wanted to act on:

• Too many dual-typed Temtem have access to efficient/powerful offensive techniques of both of their typings at 0 hold.
• Too many 0 hold techniques have unconditional high priority.
• Too many Temtem have access to both of the above at the same time.

An example of this is Tulcan. With Wind Burst and Fiery Soul, it could use offensive techniques of both of its typings on any turn, and one of these techniques also burned the opponent at high priority. As a result, it was consistently at the top of tier lists as these qualities made it “always good”. Our goal of this patch is to cut down on these types of Temtem, while leaving just a few like this. We don’t want to remove these kinds of Temtem completely as we believe Temtem with strong 0 hold techniques are an important part of aggressive play, which makes up a key part of the competitive ecosystem. However, it should be a more rare quality for a Temtem to have, rather than the norm which defines the benchmark against which Temtem are compared and evaluated. For this reason, we have decided to aim for Temtem learn sets, rather than apply a blanket nerf to high priority and low hold techniques. This has been at the core of our approach to balance for Season 7.

It’s always interesting to introduce synergy techniques to the game, and even more so, if its synergy involves something as key to the game as increasing SPD to the user.
• [NEW] Cable Link
  • If the holder takes part in a synergy Technique, both the holder and the ally regain 10% of their max Stamina.
  • So far we had no Gear that interacted with one of Temtem’s unique game mechanics, synergies. After multiple tests, we feel like this gear is way stronger than other Stamina gears in the right team compositions, while it’s weaker than these same gears when not used correctly. We cannot wait to see how creative you’ll get with this gear.
• [NEW] Haz’trap
  • When the holder gets knocked out, the attacker gets trapped for 2 turns.
  • This gear is revealed at the beginning of the turn.
  • We have been receiving feedback for some time about how oppressive the opponent’s leads can be, even from the picks and bans phase, and how in many occasions the first two turns’ offsets have too much weight in the game. With the design of Haz’trap we want to make it easier to look for an even exchange in the early stages of the game, even being able to trap the opponent’s key Tem, and aim to weaken it in the next turn. This gear will be revealed at the beginning of the turn, so both players will have to prepare their move around it, and further assess the range of possibilities and how the field situation may change in the next turn. During scrims we saw that any fragile and fast Tem is a good holder of this gear, but we are looking forward to see what strategies come out around it.
• [NEW] Power Bank
  • Offensive techniques gain 6.5% damage boost per hold.
  • Similar to Cable Link, we like gears that interact with Temtem’s unique mechanics. Hold is another one of these, and testing showed this gear played well. We found lots of Temtem that benefit from this gear (more than just Turoc!), and even discovered some new builds that it enables. We think that Power Bank is especially relevant and interesting for special attackers, as some of these tems, depending on their type, were lacking a damage-boosting gear. One of the users that surprised us the most during the scrims was Oceara, fitting perfectly with its Hurry-Wart trait. We’re eager to see players cook up ideas we missed in the testing phase!

When we decided to rework this technique, it felt like the right call to make it a “special” Bark Shield with synergy, especially since this technique was already interacting with SPDEF but seeing close to no use.

Traits

• New Trait: Dispersion
  • Trait description and effect: +20% damage inflicted with damaging, multi-target Techniques.
• Heat Discharge
  • Burn turns have been reduced from 3 ⇒ 2.
  • The Burn ticks now are now applied to both rivals.
  • When knocked out, both rivals get the Burned Status Condition for 2 turns.
• Ruminant
  • Previous effects no longer work.
  • New effect: When hit by an enemy Nature technique, damage is reduced by 50% and receives +1 ATK.
  • The intended thought process behind this change was to give Minothor a trait that is almost as good as the Rusher trait is. After reading feedback from the players when Ruminant was first leaked, we decided to wait and see how this trait performs before applying any further changes to it, but we will monitor it closely and add extra changes if it turns out to be too weak.
• Confined
  • It now triggers each time Tortenite gets trapped, not only when the attacker traps itself.
  • New description: When getting the Trapped status condition, gets +1 DEF and +1 SPDEF.
• Motivator
  • STA regeneration increased from 10% to 15%.
• Natural Conversion
  • Damage reduction from Nature techniques has been removed.
  • The whole description now reads as follows: While using any other non-Nature type technique, deal 25% more damage.
• Safe Retreat
  • Removed the once-per-battle condition.
  • Regenerating turns have been reduced from 2 ⇒ 1.
  • The whole description now reads as follows: When leaving the battlefield, the Temtem receives 1 turn of Regenerating.
• Seismic
  • Damage has been increased from 7% ⇒ 10%.

Gears

• New Gear: Cable Link
  • If the holder takes part in a synergy technique, both the holder and the ally regain 10% of their max Stamina.
  • So far we had no Gear that interacted with one of Temtem’s unique game mechanics, synergies. After multiple tests, we feel like this gear is way stronger than other Stamina gears in the right team compositions, while it’s weaker than these same gears when not used correctly. We cannot wait to see how creative you’ll get with this gear.
• New Gear: Haz’trap
  • When knocked out, the attacker gets Trapped for 2 turns.
  • The gear is revealed at the beginning of the turn.
  • We have been receiving feedback for some time about how oppressive the opponent’s leads can be, even from the picks and bans phase, and how in many occasions the first two turns’ offsets have too much weight in the game. With the design of Haz’trap we want to make it easier to look for an even exchange in the early stages of the game, even being able to trap the opponent’s key Tem, and aim to weaken it in the next turn. This gear will be revealed at the beginning of the turn, so both players will have to prepare their move around it, and further assess the range of possibilities and how the field situation may change in the next turn. During scrims we saw that any fragile and fast Tem is a good holder of this gear, but we are looking forward to see what strategies come out around it.
• New Gear: Power Bank
  • Offensive techniques gain a 6.5% damage boost per hold.
  • Similar to Cable Link, we like gears that interact with Temtem’s unique mechanics. Hold is another one of these, and testing showed this gear played well. We found lots of Temtem that benefit from this gear (more than just Turoc!), and even discovered some new builds that it enables. We think that Power Bank is especially relevant and interesting for special attackers, as some of these tems, depending on their type, were lacking a damage-boosting gear. One of the users that surprised us the most during the scrims was Oceara, fitting perfectly with its Hurry-Wart trait. We’re eager to see players cook up ideas we missed in the testing phase!
• Adrenaline Shot
  • Previous effects no longer work.
  • Once per battle, when the holder would lose a turn by cause of Overexertion because of lack of STA, the turn penalty is prevented.
• Hopeless Tonic
  • Previous effects no longer work.
  • Once per battle, if the Temtem is the last ally standing, it gets the Evading and Invigorated Status Conditions for 2 turns, and gets +2 SPD.
  • This gear never really shone since its release, and its description was already way too complicated for us to add any more effects to it. Instead, we decided to completely change its effect while keeping the initial intentions of the gear. Pairing Evasion and the Invigorated status effect, as well as giving +2 SPD to the user, allows it to handle 1 vs 2 situations more easily, while not being a game-breaking gear if the player manages to pull it off.
• Redirection device
  • Previous effects no longer work.
  • Renamed to “Proxy Kit” due to the new effects of the gear.
  • When the ally is targeted by a Digital technique, damage is reduced by 50%.
  • The gear is now revealed at the beginning of the turn.
  • This gear gave us many headaches in terms of balancing. First, it was too match-up dependent, then it saw close to no play after its latest change in 1.4. With these changes we hope to see this gear back in play in specific teams that accumulate digital weaknesses. We hope it won’t be as frustrating to deal with as its previous version for digital Temtem players. Moreover, this new behavior of the gear allows players to have a way to somehow resist Digital Techniques, which was a common request from the community.
• Building Blocks
  • Turns to trigger have been reduced from 3 ⇒ 2.
• Straw Shield
  • The holder needs to stay on the field for at least 2 consecutive turns for the effect to be able to trigger.
  • Straw Shield has definitely been one of the most used gear of patch 1.6.2 because of how strong it was. While we are very happy with the percentage of use of the gear, we felt that, because it required no set up from the players, the gear allowed for too many openers and could make a good pick & ban selection worthless for the player who did not run this gear. This change, while being simple, allows for more counter play from the opponent and requires more thought process from the player.

Fixes! All platforms

• Fixed that manually freeing players stuck in the Prison Quest in Co-op mode could lead to issues with their quest progression.
• 👥 Fixed Tempedia filters excluding captured Umbra Tems when filtering it by type.
• 👥 Fixed seeing all Temtem leveled up to 100 in Replays, even if they were a lower level.
• Fixed being able to interact with the Lobby options while transitioning into the game credits, causing a huge overlap when returning to the game.
• Fixed being able to invite players to battle when they haven’t finished a previous match.
• Fixed being able to interact with chat messages while in a battle.

So to preface I (35F) identify as child free. My ex (37M) has 3 kids, that I unfortunately carried in my body, before I was able finally live my truth and come out as a child free. When we broke up, he took the crotch goblins with him, which was the best day of my life. I am aspiring influencer in the child free community on TikTok where I share my loathing for children and parents, but my followers are unaware that my body was used for carrying my ex’s spawn. I have my ex and family blocked on every social media platform because of course they are antinatalistphobic and would discriminate against me if they knew.
My ex has custody of his kids, I didn’t want anything to do with them, as they are a source of trauma for me, reminding me of a time where I was trauma-bonded and thought that I wanted to be a mother, but realized after 12 years I was denying my true self by denying my child free dreams. It’s been a year since we went no contact because he refused to respect my boundaries and kept trying to gaslight me into contacting the spawn stating that they “missed their mother”. Yuck, I feel nauseous even typing that word.
Anyhow yesterday I was waiting for a call from a sponsor that had reach out via TikTok that wanted to sponsor my popular content, so I answered a call from an unknown number, and it turned out to be a police officer, and he explained that my ex had been involved in a pretty serious accident, was in the ICU, and they needed me to pick up his spawn. I was so livid. That stupid motherfucker (ex) never changed the emergency contact info with the hospital and it still had me listed as the “mother”. I was disgusted and angry and told the officer that I have no children and lectured him on how assuming that I was without asking me first, was extremely bigoted of him and that there was no way in hell I was going to pick of the spawn, even if my ex dies. They aren’t my responsibility. He didn’t say anything for a minute, and then had the audacity to tell me that he has arrested murderers, and none of them were as evil and cold hearted as me and hung up.
I didn’t get his name but I fully plan on filing a reporting him and possibly suing the police department for discriminating against me. Of course after this all happened I made a video to share my experience and educate people on they can do better to not be antinatalistphobic, and the video started going viral. I received praise from the child-free community for my bravery (I didn’t tell anyone the spawn came from my body, not ready to discus that trauma yet) but unfortunately some of my family members and ex’s friends and family have found the video and are now texting me and telling me what a horrible person I am. The comments on the video were also full of people attacking me and my lifestyle.
I know I am not the asshole here, and I seriously don’t understand why it’s ok for people to be openly antinatalistphobic and it’s been extremely triggering and traumatic to me. I am sure everyone here will agree that I am being victimized and the real problem is my bigotted ex and the bigotted police officer. I want to sue them both so what would be the best course of action? Are there any pro-bono lawyers who support the child free community that would take my case?
