Three wheeled motorized hpv

Traxxas Maxx v1 or v2

2024.06.10 03:37 Sad-Engineering8150 Traxxas Maxx v1 or v2

Can the Traxxas vxl and brushless motor that's 3s only (found in the rustler and bandit and stampede 2wd and 4tec 2.0) work in the Traxxas Maxx (1/10)? What's the current gearing do I need to keep the speed control and motor temps in check without overheating either and the best wheels combo?

2024.06.10 03:02 myrawheart im so tired of being thrid wheeled

the title is self-explanatory. i am currently in a friend group of three
it consists of me, my friend, and my friends significant other.
the group has gone downhill since then. its basically just turned into a duo, and i just tag along occasionally.
when my friends partner recently came to visit our state, my friend has now started to totally thrid wheel me.
i cant really go into full detail as there isnt much to grasp. just your average thrid-wheeling scenario i suppose. normally, i would turn to my other friends. however, i have none!
and theres nothing i can do
so, sucks to suck i guess.

2024.06.10 02:38 whiskers-n-nem Recommendation From The Sub

Hi to all and thank you in advance for any recommendations you have. I have a 2008 build with three single doors, 3-panel Amarr Classica and 8’-0 tall. The original install openers are Marantec m4500e and two are offline due to a suspected logic board failure. I leaning toward replacing them rather than repair.
My wish list is: one-piece rail, belt drive, DC motor, WiFi. I don’t need cameras. Just want something quiet and smooth as the original Marantec.
Can the sub help rank these in order you would recommend at both price points? Prices are for all three and include installation.
$1600 Price Point
LiftMaster 8155W
LiftMaster 8160
Linear LDCO801
$2000 Price Point
LiftMaster 84505R
Linear LDCO841
Thanks again!
EDIT: what I’m asking is: in what order would you rank the options? I’m not married to either price point, but spending less is nice!

2024.06.10 02:21 Tyler_Styles Ascension 15 Has A Balance Problem (Hear Me Out)

Oh look, I'm mated. Again. On the first level. Time to try it again. For the fifth time. Gosh, it would be nice to eventually see an upgrade in this twenty-five minute game session...
Have you been here before? If you play any ascension 15 you have. Many times.
Okay, no, this post isn't about just whining. In fact, through all the frustration, I still enjoy and play this game once in a while and I made sure to get a win at Asc15 with every gun before writing this to make sure I had the full picture.
The early game is just too unbalanced to be anything other than a frustrating boring cointoss and there is very limited strategy.
King sniping is impossible - 98% of the time you will take 5 - 8 shots to kill the king and it will be the last piece you kill or close to last. You very quickly learn that trying anything else will get you mated by 7 pieces because pawns promote fast and you are single-shell loading by this point and dealing 1-2 king damage per turn.
You have to steadily remove threats, and, except if you are running the sniper you can't oneshot pieces, so you have to fire high arc shots and pray to soften them up. Sometimes you will literally be mates in under 8 turns because of opening move rng. If you are running the sniper, the fact you can't shoot twice means that move rng can randomly kill you without counterplay much more often too. No salvation there.
More commonly thoufh, you will lose (40 - 60% of all your games) in the mid-to-late game as.a result of the spiralling inefficiency of bad early bullet luck or unlucky piece move synch. You can't try to play conservatively or slow, because even with perfect shots you barely have enough time to contain the pawns to a couple of promotions.
Incidentally, even then an early rook promotion might well lose you the game anyway. Typically you need to land three shots on the rooks even at close range.
All of this mind, annoying and full of rng as it is, is just the first level. What do you get for beating it? Just a spin at another rng wheel.
If you don't get some type of firepower, tempo, or mobility, you can go ahead and resign. You can't attempt to fight an even harder version of floor 1 with Bloodless Coup or Bladeless Bushido. It's not even worth attempting it. Incidentally, the same goes for enemy perks like the Vampire Queen or anything that adds a rook; though rarer, these early also typically are unpickable, making ykur spins worse.
This repeats for F2 to a lesser extent and to an even smaller one for F3.
By F4 on in my experience the game has really opened up, you have the tools to build a strategy and rng is still present but a lot more manageable and integratable. Skill expression actually comes into play and you have toys to work with. The game gets fun.
From F7 and on you are in the zone - you are playing good old Shotgun King, and though it's a really difficult version, it is really fun.
This tremendous balance issue is singlehandedly holding the game back from being one of my favourite roguelikes, and not just because I'm a chess freak. The solution is so simple too. Pace the enemy buffs through the floors. Have them gain them incrementally. Heck, even buff them a bit if you spread them out through the whole thing, but for now, even delaying some to F2-F3 to ket ys get ONE DAMN UPGRADE SCREEN before we die would be immensely helpful.
This is a badly needed solution. Currently ascension 15 is a slog, but the game does so many things right. It'd be a shame not to fix this.
Anyway - at least these are my twk cents.
Cheers all.

2024.06.10 02:11 AggravatingNotice694 the price of equipment is so random?

so I’ve been in the market for a new solution for a standalone unit for awhile now, I have the DDJ1000 and it’s a good controller, but I hate using it with a laptop, it takes up space and it’s not the most portable. I just genuinely can’t stand having to get my laptop out and set up to use it and I find it pretty unnatural compared to what I’m used to, I also do not use four channels so I feel like it’s just pointless for what I use it for, I’ve been in the market for two XDJ1000s and mixer or an XDJ-XZ (i hate the small jog wheels on the rx3) or alternatively stretching and getting CDJ2000 Nexus. I know the original Nexus do not have more than three hot cues, but I genuinely do not use hot cues ever, I only use memory cues. I have tried looking for months on eBay reverb and marketplace in the United Kingdom and not found literally any deals on anything, I’m not looking to buy until around September time, but I’ve literally been looking for months and months and I’m not finding any new deals or anything, it’s honestly making me question whether or not I will be able to find any ever. I regularly see a lot of people in this forum say you can get the XDJ1000 for a decent price, but for the MK2 it seems that it’s the same price on eBay now as the 2000 nexus, which is pretty odd.
But there’s no indication as to how much used this should be in general, I see wildly different prices for each thing, for example, I saw two MK1 1000s for £1100 on Facebook, but I see it eBay for 1800 or thereabouts. I also saw someone else on marketplace listing it for 2000, and then I saw people listing the 2000 Nexus for £900-£1000 alone, and other people listing it for 2.3 K for two. has anyone else noticed a huge fluctuation in prices of equipment? And the availability of equipment? Because it seems like there is genuinely not many listings at all for different types of units, like I hardly see any XZs on eBay etc and when I do it’s like 1800 or there about and I don’t know if that’s good or bad.

2001 3.0 Vulcan Ticking Sound?
Hey guys glad to have stumbled upon this Reddit. I hate to do stabs in the dark like this but I’d love any opinions right now.
Truck is a 2001 Ranger 3.0 V6 Non Flex Fuel 2WD, so the Vulcan engine. This was my first car out of high school and it’s lasted me about a year now, with no issues. Did all the general maintenance and a tune-up (sparks, wires, distributor, dpfe sensor replaced, egr valve cleaning, idle air control replaced.) I’ve driven it about 20,000 miles since ownership and it’s at 145k now. I drive about 500 miles a week.
About two three weeks ago the noise started and it’s pretty localized to the passenger side of the engine. It’s easiest to hear when you have your head up in the wheel well on that side.
As a young guy, I’m just kind of learning as I go, so anybody with a better idea than me or anyone that can give me an idea of some tests I could do to determine what it is would be appreciated.

2024.06.10 01:17 Lopsided_Software458 A little guidance

It has been about six years since I last had my 4WD slash, I just bought another one used with a couple issues, I did all my work on my last one, but it has been so long, hoping somebody with some experience would be able to answer some questions or give me some guidance
First issue I noticed is there’s a constant whining from the servo. The arm does not sit straight when not in use and the wheels turn farther to one side then they do to the other. Is this a programming issue? Is it fixable or should I get a new servo ?
There is another issue with the throttle trim, but I think I need to replace my pinion or spur gear first as the motor seems to spin and only catch sometimes
Please feel free to DM me and get me through my relearning stage

2024.06.10 00:47 The_valhalla_gaming Am I cursed or is there a potential problem that can cause repeat tire issues?

So we are halfway through the year and as of today I am having to replace the same front right tire of my Audi for a third time. Three weeks into the year there was a massive leak after hitting a pot hole- ok fair enough, tires were old so nothing odd there- fast forward about a month or so and on the first noteable pothole I hit, another catastrophic leak. Replace the tire again, and here around 2-3ish months later of driving and making sure to avoid potholes as best I can, my front right wheel has a bubble and I’ll be getting it replaced tomorrow. Is this just a massive coincidence or could there be something with my vehicle in general that’s causing this? Fortunately I bought the warranty so the cost to me will be a bit minimized but this still seems crazy.

2024.06.10 00:41 carlosdangermouse Anyone else notice their local Walmart shift from Hot Wheels to Matchbox?

Recently the three stores nearest me changed the layout of the toy aisles and in the process nearly eliminated mainline Hot Wheels in favor of Matchbox. Two of the three stores now have zero single-pack mainline pegs, with everything in a couple of very sad dump bins, and the third has six pegs. Five-packs? Got 'em. Also color shifters, Stars & Stripes (yawn), and Hot Wagons. And we've still got A/B case cars in the bins. Never seen the Vintage Racing Club, or Japan Historics.
On the other hand they all have 24+ pegs for single pack Matchbox plus pegs for 5-packs, although very light on Moving parts, and no Collector Series (are they Target only?).
I'm mostly a Premium collector (not many of those on the pegs locally either), but still really like some of the mainline casting and they're just not in the stores.
Anyone seeing this? For reference, I'm in a major-metro in the southeastern US.

2024.06.10 00:23 Cocosettemax 2004 s40 front strut assembly torque specs?

Anyone know the torque specs for the nuts and bolts you remove during a coil spring replacement? - the three bolts from the chassis to the upper strut mount - the main bolt on top of strut assembly that holds mount to spring - the steering link nuts - the larger bolt that holds strut assembly to subframe/wheel assembly or whatever it is called
Also how do i correctly torque the nuts that have to be counter held with the hex5 or 6 bit?

As my first EV, I am having so much fun with it so far, and it is stupid fast.
New for the 2024 year, the SQ8 etron is officially a tri-motor EV @ 496 hp, vs the 2024 Q8 etron is dual monitor @ 402hp… after test driving a Q8 etron with the Prestige launch package first, I am so glad I waited and went with the SQ8 even with the less range, because it’s just so fun to drive.

2024.06.09 23:37 eagle6705 Steering Wheel Motor 12V to 24V...can It stay 12V

So I believe I have this model

It still is stock and all the motors are 12V. I am looking to upgrade to 24V. My question is does the steering wheel motor also need 24V or can I just reduce the voltage to 12V considering that the motor is the least used motor compared to the wheels?

2024.06.09 23:37 RandyFrank E-Cells 5 Star ebike ordered: 60-75 days wait! (Long)

[Sorry for all the capitalizations, apparently Reddit doesn’t support BOLD; being long I highlight for skimming]
I did it- when I saw the LOW PRICE OF $2K FOR THE WIRED FREEDOM I was instantly hooked! I’ve been looking for an EBIKE THAT COULD KEEP UP WITH SURFACE STREET TRAFFIC, something that’d feel stable at 40mph–which my 2.2” wide tire hard tail ebike does not–something that not only had a much higher top speed but also a vastly improved acceleration so that i could keep up with traffic.
In other words, something that SPANNED THE DISTANCE BTW A MOTORCYCLE AND AN EBIKE: something more powerful and stable than most ebikes, but not as heavy as a motorcycle (though these bikes do tip the scale at slightly over 100 lbs, which is heavy for an ebike). Note: I’m not sponsored by anyone.
Lo and behold, first there was The ONE… and great excitement was felt in the land: the Wonder Bike I’d been formulating in my head for an unexpected price under $2k……And Then There Were Two…
The 5 STAR FROM E-CELLS IS EERILY SIMILAR TO THE WIRED FREEDOM, same
60V 20ah battery (most bikes are 48-52V, higher V is better) Full suspension that looks the same, esp the rear shock 1500w motor with a peak of 2200w, same motor manufacturer A top speed of near 40mph 26” fat tire wheels
All of which makes it pretty obvious that they were SOURCING THE SAME BASIC PARTS FROM THESE CHINESE MANUFACTURERs but configuring them to their own specs, though I’m fairly certain the frame is an upgrade on the 5 Star compared to the Wired Freedom.
But then the differences started showing; for awhile it seems they were IN A RACE TO OUT-FEATURE EACH OTHER, with one getting a new feature and the other following suit (for the most part): : new controller filled with gel for cooling : E-Cells adding a step-thru bike that also has rear shocks like Wired Freedom offers : a rear 2d battery that became stock on the Wired Freedom, and then was offered at nearly the same price on the 5 Star (once you’ve tallied everything).
Anyways, I was really enjoying the pitched battle btw these two companies vying for our money for a breakthru ebike at this price point- viva la competition!
But once I added up the bottom line figures, the 5 STAR STARTED PULLING AHEAD:
OPTIONAL TORQUE SENSOR. This one almost decided it all for me, have always wanted one An optional package that included a 1000? Lumen headlight (a full 7” wide), a rack battery like the Wired Freedom, and a significant upgrade to the front shocks Basically a more customized bike that came to abt the same price as the Wired Freedom. Didn’t hurt that the 5 Star bike has a 2 year warranty on motor and battery vs 1, and lifetime for the frame, and that from the descriptions I’ve heard, the frame might be beefier, an important consideration for stability at higher than normal bicycle speeds (hard to tell though). E-Cells (5 Star) also include a helmet and tool pouch and possibly other amenities that are determined by what the manufacturer has on hand. Not sure about the Wired Freedom.
However… WHAT AM I MISSING OUT ON? With the Wired Freedom they upgraded their controller from 40 amps to 45, which upped their Newton Meters to 153? A test rider said he cld easily feel the acceleration difference. However, not sure about the long term of that, I plan on running my bike at the upper end of its capabilities, and hub motors are known to burn out, so not sure if that’s actually a plus.
One thing that I LOVE about both these bikes is they have a temp sensor built-in- yeah!!! No more guessing if you’re going to burn out your motor! And they both have a plastic internal gear that is known to fail that is made heavier duty by being steel reinforced. Good stuff. And I’ve heard the full suspension makes for a much smoother ride.
After that it was up to me to do the math and see what the better deal was for me and which had features I wanted/needed.
Wired Freedom has bucked the trend by charging for shipping- who knew it was so pricey? I suspect noone ‘cause it’s usually included. I suppose that’s how they came up with the very good price of $2k, which eventually came to include several great upgrades INCLUDING the 2d battery on the rear rack in that original $2k price! But good goshness $250 for shipping? And an extra $75 if you wanted to insure it-? And like everybody these days, they charge tax as per what your state charges, so about another 8.5% wld be charged
By contrast:
E-Cells doesn’t charge for shipping or even tax! Not sure how that’s possible unless it’s expected that you’ll pay the state sales tax yourself.
Long story short, a similarly configured bike that included a torque sensor, out the door I was paying roughly the same as what I would have paid for the Wired Freedom
Note: a large tariff increase is coming mid-June, so all this info is BEFORE those tariffs hit.
Anyways… I’ve got 60-75 days to wait for delivery, so while I’m sitting on my hands I thought I’d share these adventures with y’all.
I’m curious: I described my ideal bike at a reasonable price, what is yours?

Currently have 2013 Peugeot 5008 and it fits us (2 adults, 3 kids aged 3, 7, 9) but is reaching the point where maintenance is more than the value of the car, so I'm looking for new (to me) wheels. I'm not a fan of the Peugeot 5008 so I'm looking to change make/model. We no longer require 7 seats but do still need the width for 3 car seats across the back and a decent sized boot. Nice to haves would be leather seats, reverse parking assistance, excellent climate control, and multiple cup holders. Our budget is up to 25k. I ventured into a dealership on Friday and they showed me some hybrids that are way out of my price range but the hybrid fuel did sound quite appealing. I never thought about getting a hybrid before and don't know anyone with one. Is it even possible to get a hybrid with my budget? How good are the older models? Are there any that would meet my three car seats requirement? Any recommendations very welcome (whether hybrid or not).
