Hi everyone! I have been struggling lately and wanted to reach out to see if anyone can possibly help me out before I go to the doctor. SO, I am currently dealing with symptoms of lichens scluroses (the symptoms are a bit embarrassing, so if you aren’t sure what this is, feel free to look it up!). Over the past 5 years, I have been experiencing symptoms that I believe are related to hormonal problems. I have been experiencing panic attacks, increased growth of facial/body hair, my period stopped at one point (it has stabilized thanks to PCOS supplements), increase in skin tags, exhaustion, etc. I took a hormonal test last year that said my DHEAS was low, LH was low, FSH was low, and progesterone was slightly elevated. I’ve been overweight my whole life even while playing 3 sports year round for a majority of my life, and I am unsure if all these symptoms stem from my weight or if my weight has been a symptom of something wrong with me. After researching here are a list of things that could possibly be wrong with me: -MENOPAUSE at 25 years old -Pituitary/adrenal gland issues -PCOS (though my levels don’t really reflect this) -diabetes/pre diabetes some sort of insulin resistance
I know I need to see a doctor, but I have one more semester of graduate school before I graduate in August, and I would like to get that out of the way (and have a job/money) before I embark on that journey. Also, doctors are not historically known to be kind to obese people or treat them with respect and decency, so that is always a worry.

So my party is just gonna finish Sunless Citadel at level 3 and I (the DM) want to continue it with CoS. I want to tie them together by the Gulthias Tree. They are just before the boss fight (we will start next session with rolling initiative) and after that I want them to go back to Oakhurst because of RP and other reasons. I want to end the session with a group of loud and happy wanderers just leaving the town and offering them a ride (plot twist: they wake up at Barovia). But this is not the important question in my preparation. At the end of the boss fight in Sunless Citadel they are going to let Gulthias, the ancient vampire, free by defeating everything. I read that in some other threads it was suggested that Gulthias is Strahd and when he is freed he enslaves Barovia once agian. This notion I don't like because there is just no time for it! My idea: I was thinking that maybe Strahd powers had come from Gulthias, and because of his state (being kinda dead and turned to a tree for centuries) he started to weaken little by little (that's why the famous vampire hunter arrived to Barovia), and there were even a small uprising. Slaying the tree and freeing Gulthias Strahd became more powerful than ever and wanted to set an example. So the adventurers arrive to a town where there are rotting heads on spikes and hanged man and whatever else. (But this seems like a little bit out of charachter for his personality) I dont like my concept a 100 percent but you probably get the feeling what kind of connection i'm looking for. If you have any additional (or totally different) ideas i'm open and glad to hear them out! Thanks in advance!

Not really. Did they do that to a young country singer named Taylor who could be a massive star one day, but not if she's gay? For sure, her infamous, long-standing, "man-eater" PR narrative connected to her name wouldn't exist otherwise. But do we really think that in 2024, this 34-year-old billionaire, most famous person on earth, Taylor Swift, is still being deeply entrapped by her record label? The label that, with all her resources, she could probably get out of a contract with immediately? Where she now owns everything she makes? No shot. If she truly just wanted to come out right now, she could and literally nobody could do anything about it. Except... her "fans."

Hello! petal here i’ve been hearing about all of your stories and thought i’d chip in. i’m on a throwaway but if you knew me it won’t really change much i suppose
so let’s meet the cast there was me (she/her), my bf (now ex), the dm, fighter, cleric, ranger, and soldier, who wasn’t there for most of my time bc he was actually in the military i honestly forgot his class.
and before we start just note my memory is unreliable and prone to be wrong, my punctuation is horrible and if seems like i’m rambling i’m sorry
if you are a part of the cast and you feel like i didn’t properly tell your story feel free to try and contact me privately and professionally
so it all begins when my bf meets this group through his cousin. who is a whole other horror story but he’s not in this group, my bf starts playing dnd with his new friends and he would love to talk about it and would ask if i wanted to play.
i was hesitant at first but thought it would be fun so i agreed. and with the help of my bf and the dm i whip up my favorite child. ash a non binary variant human rouge, which i remember annoyed the dm a lil bc our party didn’t choose a lot of his homebrew races and stuff, personally… i’m just basic.
heads up for this part i can’t remember if it was one or two sessions so it’s a bit confusing that’s why
the party was sent for a vampire bandit in a camp while on the lookout for two contacts they were supposed to meet. when they got to the camp they found the bandit lord while he was talking to them they could feel a presence in the shadows.
and when it came time i struck the lord with a holy weapon the dm gave me and we started combat. it was tough but we won i introduced myself to the party and we went off to find the other contact. after a bit of searching we decided to make camp then we found him a injured warrior with a broken mechanical arm.
he couldn’t speak so i asked if ash could use sign language so they could talk! and there was a sweet moment with him and i where i fixed up his arm and then as we rest and the session closed my rouge wrote what would be the last letter their family would ever get.
as when the next session rolled around the dm said that the contact we were supposed to meet went berserk; and the dm said we weren’t making it out alive we could fight back but when their time came each and every character but one (who was chosen by dice btw) were brutally killed and maimed with no rolls that could save them.
now the dm warned me that the game would have gory descriptions and i thought i didn’t mind but i won’t lie at one point i just muted him and sat there. it shook me alot hearing in detail how my character who was new and excited got punted into a tree after their head was i’ll spare you the description but let’s just say they don’t have anything AHEAD of them anymore… i’m sorry i cope with humor.
now i was rattled but my bf has been playing that character for awhile so i made sure he was okay. we both were admittedly a little salty and i should’ve left but i was young and stupid.
i make a new character ember the sick sister to my rouge, turns out she’s not actually sick but shes a sorcerer that was born with powerful fire magic that threatens too consume her. aka i accidentally made a werid karlach/gale mix before i even heard of baldurs gate. (i had a great laugh when i saw those two because they were much better written then mine) my bf made a barbarian, cleric, fighter, and ranger made well… the names say it all. and i still can’t remember what class solider was.
anyway that campaign goes fine, but around 4 sessions in the dm started another campaign at the same time which took place 100 years after the one i was in
i make a kisune cleric bc i felt bad i wasn’t really using any of the dms homebrew and i made her a lesbian and the dm knew this. the first thing i had to rp was my bfs male pc trying to flirt with me
i was uncomfortable the whole time and my bf said the dm said if he did it we would give him a magic item but that’s not the worst part
the worst part is when a npc told us of the legend from way back where a cleric, solider, and ranger saved the lands.
and i noticed how the dm didn’t mention my character, my bfs character or the fighter so putting the dots together i just straight up ask
“does my character die? i didn’t hear anything about her” and he admits that all of our deaths were already planned for us and if we continued that’s what would happen
this upsets me a whole part of dnd is the players make a part of the story. having our choices be railroaded into a unavoidable death is just boring. this kills all my motivation for dnd but i keep going because i couldn’t say no
the story that had my kitsune cleric was only that one session after that…
the dm had a flash back where the solider was being flirted with by a sex worker because it was something like “solider is having a hard time talking to women irl so i’m hoping this would help him with that” now the dm is like 17 and solider is like 30? something so this was just kinda fucking weird
i still stayed because he wasn’t doing anything bad outside of a bad dnd story and i’m still friends with him so whatever.
then he did somethings bad outside of dnd
here is the red flags that made me leave
1)the dm was comparing in a vc that a girl he was dating wouldn’t have sex with him (they were dating since december… it was february) and how all relationships need sex to survive… i’m demiromatic and asexual so….. okayyy
my ex still hangs around them which cool i guess if that’s the people you wanna hang out with, i don’t talk to any of them anymore so whatever it took me awhile to cut of my ex after that and he told me dm is still on his weird “relationship needs sex” bs last i heard
but yeah moral of the story don’t be afraid to leave. i was stuck with friends i didn’t get along with because i felt like i wasn’t able to make friends outside of them. and i wish i could say i found a new group and still play dnd but no. i haven’t found new friends nor a group to play dnd with but genuinely i’m much better and happier off. please just take care of yourself

- this is the one that made me leave. in a random discord vc at like 12am the dm just randomly say the n word (both versions) like 13 fucking times????? randomly and asks the cleric to say it which she does and this fucking hurt honestly
i was really close with the cleric because i was early in my transition (mtf) and i didn’t have any other friends who were women so i confined in her a lot for validation.
my ex still hangs around them which cool i guess if that’s the people you wanna hang out with, i don’t talk to any of them anymore so whatever it took me awhile to cut of my ex after that and he told me dm is still on his weird “relationship needs sex” bs last i heard

As I've stated before on previous posts, I am a queer minor living in the U.S. and I really need some ideas or resources on how to make a survival plan in case Project 2025 goes into effect.
I live in a blue state (IL) currently so I would hope that I'm protected at least a little more, but I know that if things go south it won't matter where I am in the country.
I don't really think evacuation to a nearby country like Canada is possible, since I only live with my mom and she's low-income/would probably never agree to it. I'm also unable to drive currently
I've already started making backups of all my social media accounts and I have a decision made that if I have to, I'll go back in the closet to protect myself, but that's really all I have at the moment
Any tips/resources/reassurance would be greatly appreciated
